Nigel's expression changed.
His brows drew tightly together before he reached out and turned Little Leo toward him. Looking straight into his heterochromatic eyes, he said sternly, "You promised me something, Leo. You aren't forgetting that, are you??"
Little Leo's expression only hardened.
One look, and it said it all …
He remembered what he had promised. However, he wasn't planning to keep it for long.
"I haven't forgotten it, Uncle," he said, but his gaze gave him away. "Leo is too young to go and fight people he can't defeat head-on. Leo won't leave the Dark Wood Forest. He'll stay here and recover first before going out to find Mama."
Nigel knew exactly what was going on inside the little guy's mind…
However, he didn't expose him.
He knew he won't be able to keep him here for long.
Nigel stared at him for a moment before saying, "Always remember you're very important to your mother. Don't get yourself into any trouble. Or it will only hurt her."
