The men heard her threat and frowned.
However, before they could react further, Adelyn had already moved.
Her patience had truly run out. She had none left to entertain them.
Karl and Pier instinctively leaned closer, whispering under their breath—
"They are so many in number. Do you think she—"
But before Pier could even finish—
A sharp thud echoed through the room.
A body slammed violently against the wall.
Both of them stiffened and turned at once —only to see two men collapse onto the floor, their bodies going almost limp.
"She—"
"Did she do that?"
They swallowed hard.
Pier's hand over Eira's ear nearly slipped in shock, but Karl quickly grabbed his wrist, tightening his hold as he reminded him in a low voice, "You'd better not defy my sister-in-law's orders. Keep your hand firm. Little Eira cannot hear their cries and screams."
Pier immediately nodded, snapping back to his senses. He pressed his hand firmly over Eira's ear again, eyes wide as he stared ahead.
