Ficool

Chapter 6 - What is Elro?

At the foot of a tree four times taller than Moonlight, laid Moonlight and a mysterious girl who looked to be same age as him; Moonlight stared at the sky like it was his lifeline. His eyes brightened as he fantasized about Phoenix. "She's my mom, huh."

The weather was calm and peaceful as it has always been. The grass were perfectly cut, the weather normal, the clouds moved peacefully, blocking the sun at given time.

Moonlight pondered about how all this could be lost. He had no idea how the world outside looked. He had been given a chance to see it. "It's not like I can't answer. It's just…"

Moonlight noticed, the moment he set sights on Phoenix. He saw a light, a calming disturbing light. A feeling he has only felt twice in his life: One in his dream and the other with Phoenix.

What is she?

"Looks like y'all are ready, let's begin."

DUMP!

Throwing Cloud to the grass, Great Uncle clothe had surprisingly returned. He flashed a smile and turned over to the sleeping Mera. Caressed his chin and muttered, "Better just leave her for the time being."

Cloud got up and was checking his outfit for dirt. Despite realizing no dirt, he appeared unrelieved. He glared at Great Uncle.

"Ah…let's begin. You both want an answer on Elro, right." They nodded. "Then, let's begin. Elro…"

As he began, an interference came from somewhere, "Tch… what are you all doing here? I thought this place was no limits."

Mera said as she rose up from the ground, scratching her head.

"Sorry Sorry we are in a pinch right now and I felt the urge to rage—to teach here today. You can join if you want." Great Uncle said hastily.

She glared at him then made a cute, "Tch…"

"Are you joining or not?" Cloud was the one who asked.

"No one asked you." She retorted. "Mind your business, hmph."

Moonlight watched. Great Uncle held in a laugh and then proceeded to lighten the mood.

"I'll say it again, let's begin. Elro as you may know is the number two most important thing in the world. No. That's too straight forward gotta be at least ~welp~ their Adna's." He covered his face and shook his head. "They have the mind of adult. How could I forget?"

Great Uncle straightened up and coughed three times to clear his throat. "Now in summary, Elro is the source of everything in the world. In other words, it is energy of everything. Life created humans and every other creature of the world and also created Elro along with it. Overtime, the creatures of the world then noticed and used this energy."

"Huhum…" This was Cloud.

"Don't break the flow. It exists in all of us either in small amounts or humongous amounts. Heroes, Adna's and those of royal blood have the highest record. Though…" His voice lowered. "They can't yet measure an Adna; Very understandable."

Moonlight drew closer to Great Uncle. Mera showed sign of interest. Cloud stayed stationary.

"Elro is divided into two; release and transfer. Release is the use of one's raw power to affect the surrounding space while, transfer is the use of one's raw power on a medium such as magic circles, weapons and the latter. In shortened, release has limited range but low output, while transfer has set range and high output."

He clapped his hands together which made an echo. "And this is the beginning. This is truly Elro…"

He began by explaining in full reason, automatically. Words poured in unimaginable numbers and in ways the words would go true someone's right ear and run from the left. However, the three listened and looked to catch detail of everything little thing.

Time passed, he still continued. Great Uncle was not telling a story, he was giving a documentary. The sun moved fast, in no time it was noon, yet he was not done.

Moonlight eyes followed Great Uncle moving lips curiously. Mera yawned but was still focused. Later, she fell asleep.

"Don't believe you." Cloud said.

"Why?" Great Uncle asked.

"You said a child Adna is more-stronger than the average hero. Aren't they the strongest?" questioned Cloud.

"Hmm…Moonlight!"

"Y-Yes!" answered Moonlight, shocked at why he was called.

"I want you to envision a destroyed field."He said.

"…A destroyed field? Why?

"Just do it and oh, try to limit the destruction to the width of the house."

"Why should he?!" Cloud complained, demanding an answer.

Great Uncle turned to him with disgusted eyes, "You are the one who asked the question, I am about to answer you. Besides, he's spent his life in the library. He has enough info about an area descriptively."

He turns to Moonlight, "Now do it!"

With no other choice Moonlight imagines. It was simple; just imagine lots of scattered rocks on a field. There are dust, rock pebbles and signs of erosion. Anyone could do it.

"Done." said Moonlight.

"Now wave your hand towards that empty spot right there, while also keeping that image within you." Great Uncle pointed towards their left. "Do it!"

Moonlight looked around first. Mera eyes opened slightly but closed the moment she spotted Moonlight. Moonlight inhaled and waved his hand with little force.

BOOM!!!
