Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

Tokyo Jujutsu High.

That was the place Gojo Satoru was talking about.

Japan only had two official sorcerer academies—one in Kyoto, the old capital, and one in Tokyo, the current center of power. Mayumi had mentioned them before, but hearing it directly from him carried a very different weight.

"Even if you already know some of this, I'll give a brief overview," Gojo said casually, leaning back. "Tokyo Jujutsu High is the core institution under the Jujutsu Headquarters. We train sorcerers, assign missions, manage cursed tools, and act as the main operational base. If you want an easy comparison—think of it like a ninja village with centralized administration."

Leon raised an eyebrow."So you're saying it's not Konoha?"

"…I walked right into that one, didn't I?" Gojo sighed. "I'm not Hatake Kakashi. I don't even run the place. I'm just a teacher."

"A very humble one," Leon replied flatly.

Gojo cleared his throat and continued, pretending not to hear it. "Anyway, the benefits are excellent. No tuition. Housing and meals included. You can still enroll in normal higher education if you want. There's comprehensive life insurance—beneficiaries of your choice. During internships, pay is equivalent to a junior metropolitan officer, with bonuses paid per mission. With your ability, you'll earn far more than you do writing light novels."

Leon tapped his fingers together. "Higher risk, higher return."

"No," Gojo said calmly. "Because dreams don't stop just because reality is dangerous."

He clasped his hands together, voice low and strangely convincing—right up until Leon shot him a look of pure disbelief.

"…So it is pirates."

"I am," Gojo declared proudly, "the strongest man in the world."

Leon immediately raised both hands. "Alright, alright. You win. Please don't say things that embarrassing with a straight face."

"But I am the strongest."

"Yes, yes. Acknowledged," Leon replied dryly. "Still, being strong doesn't erase risk. If I'm joining, we're negotiating conditions."

Gojo scratched his head. "I'm terrible at negotiations. Just tell me what you want."

"I don't know what you're willing to give," Leon shot back smoothly. "You go first."

Gojo fell silent, thinking far longer than expected. Eventually, he glanced at the small Pokémon hopping around the room.

"We have experience raising… panda-type entities."

Leon knew exactly what he meant. Panda—the student, not the Pokémon.

He crouched down and poked Pancham's cheek. "Want to meet more pandas?"

"Pan!" Pancham bounced excitedly.

"That settles it," Leon said lightly. "Let him go play."

Pancham's personality was far more energetic than Gardevoir's. A school full of sorcerers would suit him just fine.

Then Mayumi spoke up, her hands tightening unconsciously at her sleeves."Leon… do you really plan to go?"

Leon nodded. He had expected this path from the beginning. Whether for finances, system mechanics, or long-term survival, Tokyo Jujutsu High was unavoidable.

"But not just me," he said calmly. "You're coming too. I want my mother to live on campus. That's my condition."

The room froze.

"I've never heard a request like that," Gojo said slowly.

"That doesn't matter," Leon replied. "What matters is whether you agree."

Mayumi finally understood. Her son wasn't being reckless—he was protecting her.

Gojo studied Leon carefully. "Can you tell me why?"

"No," Leon answered without hesitation. "We're bound by a strict contract. You can investigate on your own. All I'll say is this—if you agree, you'll face pressure. Serious pressure."

Gojo's smile widened.

"Pressure doesn't bother me," he said. "Plenty of people try every day. None of them succeed."

"And that," Leon said quietly, "is why I chose you."

The Kamo family would eventually notice him. Leon wasn't afraid of them—but ancient clans didn't fight fair. Subtle pressure, political maneuvering, indirect threats… all of it would endanger Mayumi.

Gojo Satoru was the perfect shield. His strength, his clan, and his track record of protecting outcasts made him an immovable wall.

Gojo extended his hand. "Then welcome to Tokyo Jujutsu High. There'll be a small assessment before enrollment—but you'll be fine."

Leon stood and shook his hand. "I look forward to it, Gojo-sensei."

"Editor Gojo first," Gojo said cheerfully. "Sign the licensing agreement. I've read your novel—formulaic, but surprisingly fun. A world where women dominate and a lone guy gets tossed into an all-girls academy? Brings back memories."

Leon sighed.Looks like life's about to get loud.
