Chapter 55 - Season 3 – Chapter 19 – “Back Into the Fire”

The sky was dull grey again.

No heavy rain.

Just a quiet tension in the air.

Like something was about to happen.

Meher stood outside the fellowship building.

The same glass doors.

The same place where everything had changed.

But she wasn't the same anymore.

Aarav stood a few steps behind her.

"You don't have to do this," he said softly.

She didn't turn.

"I do," she replied.

A pause.

Then she added—

"But I'm not doing it alone this time."

Aarav gave a small nod.

"I'll be right here."

Inside—

Everything looked normal.

Writers typing.

People talking.

Laughter in corners.

But Meher could see through it now.

This wasn't normal.

It was controlled.

As she walked in—

Eyes followed her.

Not openly.

But enough.

They knew she hadn't backed down.

Reyaan approached her first.

"You came back," he said quietly.

"I never left," she replied.

He studied her expression.

Something had changed.

She wasn't confused anymore.

"You shouldn't push this further," Reyaan warned.

"And you shouldn't underestimate me," Meher said calmly.

For a moment—

Reyaan had no response.

Later that afternoon—

Meher sat at her assigned desk.

A blank screen in front of her.

Her deleted work… gone.

But her mind—

Sharper than ever.

She plugged in a small USB device.

Rishan's plan had begun.

It would quietly copy internal files from the system.

Emails. Records. Decisions.

Proof.

Her heart raced.

Every second felt louder.

Every click… risky.

Footsteps approached.

She quickly minimized the screen.

A coordinator stopped by her desk.

"Everything okay?" he asked.

"Yes," she said, forcing calm.

He looked at her for a moment…

Then walked away.

She exhaled slowly.

Across the building—

Aarav waited outside, watching the entrance.

Every minute felt longer than the last.

His phone buzzed.

Message from Meher:

"Inside. It's working."

He clenched his jaw.

"Be careful…" he whispered.

Back at her desk—

The progress bar moved slowly.

20%

35%

50%

Almost there.

Suddenly—

The lights flickered.

Her screen froze.

The system locked.

A message appeared:

"Unauthorized access detected."

Her heart stopped.

No.

Not now.

Within seconds—

Two security guards entered the room.

Walking straight toward her.

The entire hall went silent.

All eyes on her.

Reyaan stood at a distance.

Watching.

Not stopping it.

Not helping.

Just… watching.

Meher slowly stood up.

Her hands steady.

But her pulse racing.

"Ma'am," one guard said,

"you need to come with us."

Outside—

Aarav saw movement inside.

Something was wrong.

Very wrong.

Inside—

The progress bar suddenly jumped.

95%… 100%

The USB blinked once.

Done.

Meher looked at the guards.

Then at her screen.

Then—

She quietly removed the USB.

And slipped it into her pocket.

"I'm coming," she said calmly.

Because even if they had caught her—

They were already too late.

Outside, thunder echoed again.

Louder than before.

The storm had finally turned.

And this time—

It was coming for them.
