"No," Lucian said, his silver eyes completely dead. "I told them if they stepped foot in the courtyard, I would drop the sky on them. I do not make empty threats."
Lucian turned away from the mirror. He looked at the four elite Aura Knights still lying unconscious on the floor, stripped of their weapons.
"Sera," Lucian ordered. "Pick up the heaviest one."
Sera didn't hesitate. The hesitation had been completely burned out of her. She walked over to the largest knight, grabbed him by his heavy silver breastplate, and hoisted his two-hundred-and-fifty-pound armored body off the ground with one hand.
Lucian walked over to the shattered floor-to-ceiling window. The freezing night wind whipped his hair back. He looked straight down.
