Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: I Was Hungry! Finding My Way to Your House, It's That Simple!

"Although it was a bit reckless, it drew everyone in the castle away."

"That's Natsu's style!"

With no one paying attention, Lucy quickly found the library.

Looking at the massive library, Lucy was momentarily dumbfounded.

Finding one book among tens of thousands was like finding a needle in a haystack.

It was too difficult!

"Well! The enemy's firepower has all been drawn away by Natsu, I have plenty of time to look for the book."

"By the way! Where did that detestable little flying cat go?"

"If I look for the book by myself, how long will it take?"

"Lucy! Speaking ill of people behind their backs is not a good habit!" A gloomy voice rang in Lucy's ears.

A voice suddenly appearing in the empty library gave Lucy a severe fright.

She subconsciously reached for the Celestial Spirit keys behind her.

When she saw clearly that it was that detestable blue cat hovering in the air, Lucy's expression changed, instantly becoming amiable.

"My! My! I wasn't doing that, my Happy is loved by everyone who sees him, flowers bloom when they see him, how could he be associated with the word detestable!"

In her heart!

You detestable little flying cat, help me find the book, and I'll forgive you this once.

When I become your hostess in the future, I'll torment you one less time.

Just this once!

"Aye!!" Praised by Lucy, Happy immediately became excited.

"I'm getting fired up!" Flapping his wings, he flew around the library.

Lucy couldn't help but complain: "Why do you have to use Natsu's catchphrase?"

"By the way! He really is a simple-minded little flying cat."

"Hehe! Hehe!"

"I've thought of a way to torment this detestable little flying cat."

While she was nervously searching for the mission target.

On the other side...

Natsu, who had charged into the food storage room, was extremely excited seeing the food piled up filling the entire warehouse.

Taking a deep breath, his cheeks puffed up high.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!"

A raging torrent of flames instantly filled the entire warehouse, enveloping all the food, and a delicious aroma spread out.

A certain unlucky duke had just poked his head out from underground, only to see a fiery red filling his entire world.

"Eh!"

Without any suspense, that unlucky duke had his hair burned completely clean by the raging torrent of flames, but because most of his body was underground, he wasn't harmed.

However, his whole person was dizzy, completely unaware of what had happened.

Natsu completely didn't notice this rat, diving into the cooked food and swallowing half a cow in one bite.

The food entered his stomach and was quickly digested, turning into energy to strengthen Natsu's body.

Scales subsequently covered Natsu's body bit by bit.

Feeling his magic power gradually stabilizing and his body getting stronger and stronger, Natsu ate faster and faster.

Before long, the food in the warehouse was swept completely clean by Natsu, leaving only a rat with its head poking out.

"Urp!!" Lying on the ground rubbing his bulging stomach, Natsu muttered with immense satisfaction: "Thanks for the meal!"

The duke, recovering his senses, jumped out of the ground: "Who wants to treat you to a meal!"

"Who are you?"

"Why are you here at my place?"

Natsu said lazily: "I was hungry! I wanted to eat, so I found my way to your house, is there a problem?"

The unlucky duke's gaze landed on the crest on Natsu's right shoulder.

"Mage Guild, Fairy Tail!"

"Could it be that someone found out about the things I did and issued a mission to Fairy Tail?"

"I must find that damn person, and I absolutely cannot let this guy in front of me leave alive!"

With a forceful leap, he dove underground, rushing towards Natsu from below.

Feeling the vibrations coming from beneath him, Natsu, who was completely stuffed, lazily raised his fist.

"Keep quiet!"

A fist burning with flames smashed down, knocking out the unlucky duke who had just popped out of the ground with one punch, incidentally roasting him half-cooked.

Whether he was dead or alive, Natsu couldn't be bothered to care; he was just a minor background character anyway.

Having eaten his fill, he wanted to take a comfortable nap. As for the mission details, they had long been tossed to the back of Natsu's mind.

In the library.

Happy lay on the ground, unmoving, muttering: "Lucy is so mean, making me work hard for so long and not even giving me fish to eat!"

Lucy glanced at him. Happy's pitiful appearance touched her heart.

Giving up on searching for the book, she picked Happy up: "Happy, I'm sorry, I'll take you to find food."

It had been a whole day and night, and there had been no movement in the duke's mansion; presumably, those people had all been dealt with by Natsu.

"By the way, where did Natsu go? I haven't seen him for so long."

"He's definitely hiding somewhere sleeping!"

"Lucy! Speaking ill of people behind their backs is not a good habit!" A gloomy voice rang in her ears.

Lucy immediately blew her top: "Why do you guys always appear right on time?"

"By the way! Why is your tone exactly the same as Happy's?"

Happy and Natsu looked at each other and opened their mouths at the same time. Before they could speak, Lucy clamped her hands over both their mouths.

She glared at them gloomily: "If you dare say that phrase again, I will..."
