Chapter 71 - Chapter 70: Nothern Gate War 2

Royal Palace,

Capital City,

Amidst the roaring flames lay a body covered in wounds.

Grandor.

Ganaraj and Osh were standing nearby.

[Grandor]: Grhh... I can't be defeated. This is unacceptable!

She groaned.

Osh walked closer.

He was drinking his spirytus.

[Osh]: Now that she is defeated, she seems useless.

Grandor glanced at Osh.

[Grandor]: Hahaha... even though I am defeated, he will lose for sure.

He asked with a serious face.

[Grandor]: The smartest Seven Stared Personnel. I was blinded by my ego, however he surpasses me. My sworn enemy! He must have already begun his game. You won't win that game.

Osh smashed his bottle against a nearby rock.

[Osh]: Tell me the damn name, you witch!

[Grandor]: No one knows his name or his territory. That is what makes him dangerous! How are you going to defeat someone when you know absolutely nothing about him?!

She laughed.

Osh's face darkened.

He closed his eyes for a moment.

Then he stood up and walked towards Ganaraj.

[Osh]: We do not have time for this. We need to leave this place quickly. It remains dangerous even after her defeat.

[Ganaraj]: I agree. What about her?

[Osh]: She is useless. Discard her.

Ganaraj started walking towards Grandor.

She remained silent for a few seconds before suddenly realizing something.

As soon as Ganaraj reached her, she began screaming.

[Grandor]: No!! No!! Spare me! I... I finally understand! Please—

Ganaraj turned her into dust with a single punch.

[Ganaraj]: So much for a mastermind.

He said while trumpeting through his trunk.

Osh was staring at the sky.

It was completely dark.

[Osh]: Seems like someone is creating quite a mess. I think we should head towards Ruin Society.

Ganaraj turned towards Osh.

[Ganaraj]: But Yash told us to stay here and keep an eye on everything.

[Osh]: That is true. However, we never know how things may end up. Do you see the sky?

Ganaraj looked upward.

Dark clouds had swallowed the light.

[Osh]: It looks like a complete calamity. We need to decide quickly.

[Ganaraj]: In that case, I shall leave for Ruin Society. You stay here.

Osh thought for a while before nodding.

Ganaraj vanished with a burst.

[Osh]: Now that he has left, the battle here is over. What shall I do?

He stared blankly at the sky before opening another bottle of spirytus.

[Osh]: Struggles never end, do they? I just hope nobody dies.

He sat on a rock.

[Osh]: I wonder how Yash managed to overthrow Grandor in such a short period of time. He really has great potential. Now that Grandor has fallen, one enemy has been removed.

Osh grabbed a nearby vine.

He solidified it with his Dark Energy Reserves.

Then he began writing on the ground.

[Osh]: If Grandor was the second smartest Seven Stared Personnel, then the first Seven Stared Personnel and Haidoro are still out there. Reaching Gretoling Empire according to Yash's plan requires crossing another isolated dimension. It's highly unlikely that the smartest Personnel owns that isolated dimension. Someone that intelligent wouldn't expose himself so easily.

He wiped the writing away.

Then took another sip.

[Osh]: Now I understand everything.

He stared at the ground silently.

Then sighed and looked up.

[Osh]: My head hurts.

Ruin Society,

The face formed by the dark sky above Ruin Society was smiling.

The face of Foi.

Slowly, it opened its mouth.

A superbolt descended from the heavens.

The battlefield exploded.

Soldiers and allies alike were thrown away.

Gaja glanced upward.

Terror appeared on his face.

Uson, the Vice Commander, was sitting in the grasslands drinking tea.

[Uson]: What was he thinking, using that form?

Uson muttered bitterly.

He stood up.

[Uson]: You figured me out?

He asked.

Pratik landed directly in front of him.

[Pratik]: Seems like a surprise attack won't work if I'm already spotted.

[Uson]: Even so, I appreciate the approach.

Uson took another sip.

Pratik looked at the dark sky and the horrifying sight above.

[Uson]: The calamity has begun. Let's not stare at it. You're here to fight me, so focus on me.

He offered a cup of tea.

Pratik accepted it and took a sip.

Immediately, he spat everything out.

[Pratik]: Hey, that's bitter!

[Uson]: Yes. That's how it tastes.

Uson replied with a straight face.

[Pratik]: The tea tasted spicy too!

[Uson]: That makes it thrilling.

He answered calmly.

[Pratik]: Then it became sweet!

[Uson]: It gives the feeling of a bittersweet ending.

Silence.

The two stared at each other.

A very awkward silence.

[Pratik]: We are enemies, right?

[Uson]: I believe so.

Another moment of staring.

[Pratik]: Trigger 1 and Trigger 2 Combo, Accelerated Density!

Pratik's body expanded like a balloon before shrinking back to normal.

His skin reddened.

Steam poured from his body.

[Uson]: Then I shall fight with complete enthusiasm as your opponent.

Uson transformed.

His body twisted and expanded into a giant leopard.

Four metres tall.

Ten metres long, including the tail.

The beast was muscular, yet carried the speed of a predator.

A pair of wings emerged from his back.

His eyes turned bright yellow.

Just before they could collide—

A superbolt crashed between them.

The explosion hurled both of them away.

Above them, the face of Foi continued smiling.

The shattered remains of the wall began floating into the sky.

The Garar Form.

Even war elephants and several Ganas were being pulled upward.

The suction intensified.

Just before the Ganas could be swallowed entirely, something repelled them away.

A gigantic blue cloud.

[Gaja]: Majesty!

Gaja declared proudly.

Ganaraj had arrived.

The Garar Form of Foi stared at the blue cloud and smiled with pure malice.

Ganaraj crashed down beside Mala and Grimori.

[Ganaraj]: Need your help to bring that thing down. I am exhausted from my previous fight.

The two immediately jumped onto Ganaraj.

The gigantic blue cloud shot towards the sky.

Straight towards Garar Foi.

The battlefield below paused for a brief moment.

Even the soldiers looked upward.

The sky itself seemed ready to split apart.

The battle between calamities had begun.

To be continued....
