Cellie's POV
There is a specific category of day that exists outside the regular calendar, rarer than a day off and considerably more valuable, which is a free day. A day off simply means you are not at work. A free day means nothing is required of you by anyone, including yourself, and the only legitimate activities are sleeping past ten, watching television you have already seen, and eating things directly from the container without plates.
I had been planning this free day for a week.
Georgiana arrived at my apartment at eight forty-five in the morning with the energy of a person who had slept perfectly and had plans.
"No," I said, from behind my door.
"I already texted you," she said, from the other side of it.
"I didn't respond," I said.
"Which I took as agreement," she said.
