*RED MOON'S POV*
Isaiah ate like it was his first meal in years.
"Are you sure you aren't being starved in the royal palace?" I asked as I started taking dishes after Isaiah's, at least, tenth meal.
"No," He said as he smiled "But, the thing is, I think you cook better than all of the top cooks in the palace."
Well, it wasn't my first time hearing praises about my cooking. However, when this foolish young kid is saying that, I somehow felt quite pleasant.
"I know," I replied "I know that my cooking must be the best one that you might have tasted in your entire life."
Isaiah just laughed until few tears came striking down from his face.
"You know, I might just know someone better than you." He said
"Oh, who is it?" I asked, not really interested.
"He said his name was... Lucien."
Lucien
I looked at Isaiah, only to find his eyes trying to choke me. I sighed as I turned away. I didn't want to have that conversation with Isaiah yet.
What followed after that was silence. I wanted to break it but found nothing to talk about.
"Have you ever thought that we might be bell mates?" Isaiah's eyes became soft when he said it. It was almost as if he wants to confirm that we are one.
"Bell mates, huh?" His eyes sadden when I said that.
Well, this kid's emotion is always reflected in the type of gaze he has.
"You know, I wondered if you ever had a bell mate?"
He wanted me to speak.
To speak of him.
"Fine, let me tell you a story," I sat next to Isaiah. He was taken aback for a moment before he started grinning.
"Long long time ago, in the kingdom made of gold.
There once lived a foolish prince.
A prince who had no desires,
except to dance.
One day, that foolish prince met a general, who was under his bother's command.
The general fell in love with the prince at first sight.
The prince had already taken liking to the general,
Yet he still challenged the general to a duel.
A dance duel.
In which, if the general can perfectly perform a couple dance with the prince, he wins.
However, the general wouldn't know the song or the steps that the prince will perform.
Everyone who heard about the duel thought that it was impossible for general to win.
Afterall, there is no way two people who haven't known each other for even one year, predicts each other's steps.
Finally, when the night of the duel arrived the whole nation gathered to watch.
People started betting on what would happen and what would not happen.
Even the crown prince, the prince's older brother and general's master, made a bet.
The bet stated that the general would win.
No one believed that he would win.
But, they were proven wrong.
The general was completely in sync with the prince.
It almost seemed as if they had done it multiple times.
Prince's dance bells rang through the whole arena as they danced.
And that's when the people named them
"The Bell Mates"
The ones who know each other's steps even before the other knows it.
The general married the prince and became the in-law of the nation.
While, Crown prince laughed at everyone's faces and took their money because of the bet. "
As I finished the story Isaiah seemed to be thinking something. I called his name a few times but he was distracted.
That was my opportunity.
I grabbed my rope and tied Isaiah up.
"Hey- wait! what are you doing?"
"What does it seems like I am doing?"
"Why are you tying me?"
"Because I need to talk to you about something important and I know you will try to run away."
"Do you think I can convince my self from running away from you?"
"Yes."
"No."
"I bet you will."
"I bet I can't."
"Now, lets come to the real topic."
I slowly took out the Chand scroll from the drawer.
"This," I say "I need time to read this. I waited for several days for you fall asleep but in the end I always only got about three or four hours."
Isaiah grinned as he said
"Then why don't you live with me?"
I had expected that.
