Chapter 44 - I'm Going to Cripple You!

Liu Zhengkun had been mentored by Master Fang since childhood, so he naturally knew there was another "master" above Master Fang.

That man was a true big shot—one of the most powerful people in the world.

Liu Zhengkun had always wanted to meet Master Fang's master, but he never had the chance.

Over the years, he had worked hard to expand his influence, reading many books every day, all so that one day he would be qualified to come into contact with Master Fang's master.

Liu Zhengkun was overjoyed. "The young master is actually in Riverforge? I never expected this!"

Master Fang said, "The Third Young Master has been in Riverforge for three years, and he will continue to stay here for the next year or two. By the way, weren't you busy recruiting soldiers in Southeast Asia these past few years? Why did you suddenly come back?"

Liu Zhengkun said, "I have a little brother in Riverforge named Brother Gage. He got into some trouble, so I brought about a hundred thugs I recruited in Southeast Asian countries to help him deal with it. I'll also take those country bumpkins to see what a major city in the US is like, so they won't be clueless about how to spend all that money they've earned."

Master Fang knew about Liu Zhengkun's plans and ambitions in Southeast Asian countries, which was actually thanks to Master Fang's guidance.

Southeast Asian countries are very close to the US, and it is possible to travel back and forth several times a day. For some big shots, this is an easy way to escape or hire someone to commit murder.

Master Fang frowned. "Tell your men not to run around. If they disturb the Third Young Master, I'll make sure you regret it!"

Liu Zhengkun also became anxious. These hundred or so people came from poor areas in countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar, and were not easy to manage.

Liu Zhengkun said, "Master Fang, could you tell me what the young master looks like? I don't want to be blind and offend him, which would be a terrible crime."

Master Fang sighed helplessly. "Riverforge was so clean, but you've made it dirty."

He then instructed his subordinates to send Liu Zhengkun a picture.

The person in the photo was Jeff Sterling!

This Mr. Fang was actually the Sterling family's butler.

Although he was just a butler, he had invested with Jeff's grandfather over the years, and it was not a problem for him to have assets worth tens of billions.

Moreover, over the years, Butler Fang had helped and mentored many people, and Liu Zhengkun was just one of them.

Upon seeing Jeff's photo, Liu Zhengkun immediately exclaimed, "The Third Young Master is so handsome! He looks like a scion of a prominent family! I really hope to see the young master in person someday!"

Master Fang said coldly, "The Third Young Master is currently on a family training mission. Don't disturb him. I will call you when I need you."

"Yes!" Liu Zhengkun replied respectfully.

"Alright, let's play a game of chess. I'll see if you've improved."

...

Horizon Group Company Building.

Brandon arrived at Jeff's company early in the morning and waited in the reception room for a full two hours.

Just like when his father first came, he was not received by Chairman Sterling and was not even offered a glass of water.

"What exactly does this Chairman Sterling mean? He clearly likes my sister, yet he's so cold to me, his brother-in-law. These top billionaires really have weird tempers!"

After reviewing his chat history with Brother Gage, Brandon remembered that Jeff worked as a bodyguard at the company, so he called Jeff on his phone.

In the chairman's office, Jeff was somewhat surprised to see that the caller was Brandon Harper.

He knew, of course, that Brandon was currently in his company's reception room, being left hanging by him.

Jeff wondered if he finally believed that he was Chairman Sterling?

"Hello." Jeff answered the phone.

Unexpectedly, Brandon said arrogantly, "Jeff, you're at the company, right? Come to the meeting room."

Hearing Brandon's arrogant tone, Jeff knew that this guy didn't know he was Chairman Sterling, otherwise he wouldn't dare to speak like that.

Given Jeff's status as chairman, he was unwilling to meet him, but given his past status as a live-in son-in-law, Jeff was willing to go and see what this guy had to say.

Upon entering the reception room, Jeff looked at Brandon and asked, "What do you want?"

Brandon asked, "Where is your Chairman Sterling?"

Jeff looked at Brandon and said, "Chairman Sterling is chatting with an idiot right now."

Brandon laughed heartily. "I also think that guy is an idiot! He actually chatted with Chairman Sterling for so long."

Jeff thought to himself, Brandon, you idiot, you're the epitome of a moron!

"Is there anything else?" Jeff asked with a smile.

Seeing Jeff's smug look, Brandon was very displeased. "Jeff, you're supposed to be a bodyguard, but you're dressed all high and mighty, like a CEO. What are you pretending for?"

"Furthermore, you hit me in front of so many important figures in Riverforge. I won't let this go so easily!"

Jeff said, "I know, didn't you frame me with Brother Gage? It's a pity that even your Brother Gage can't help you get revenge."

Brandon said, "Hmph, don't be so smug. Brother Gage got a hundred top-notch thugs from his boss, Master Liu, in Southeast Asia! Jeff, don't blame me for not warning you—be careful on your way home from work in the future, and don't get too drunk at nightclubs, lest you get beaten up and don't even know it! Haha!"

Jeff thought about it. He had been leaving work with Victoria Lang for the past two days. He wasn't afraid of hurting Victoria Lang, such a beautiful woman.

So, Jeff said, "Really? I'm itching to get my hands dirty too. Why don't you have your thugs, either Brother Gage or Master Liu, come to the company parking lot? No need to bother blocking me after work."

Brandon perked up. "Fine! You said it! I'll have Brother Gage send people over right now. If you've got the guts, come down and wait with me!"

"Okay." Jeff nodded happily.

Southeast Asian experts?

They are indeed more ruthless than the thugs in the US—after all, the places there are poorer and more chaotic—but whether it is these small countries in Southeast Asia or those chaotic places in the United States, they are not worth mentioning compared to the battlefield.

Upon arriving at the underground parking lot, Brandon led Jeff to a secluded corner, then took a brick and smashed all the nearby security cameras.

Afterward, Brandon said smugly, "Haha, I've destroyed all the surveillance footage now. Even if I kill you here, there's no evidence!"

"Really? So, even if I beat you to death here, there's no evidence?" Jeff laughed happily.

"What... what are you going to do?" Brandon was so shocked that he took a step back.

Snap!

Jeff slapped him across the face and couldn't help but laugh. "Brandon, are you stupid? You called your thugs to beat me up, but before your thugs arrived, didn't I beat you up before?"

"Ah!" Brandon screamed again.

After being tormented by Jeff for a while, they finally heard the voice of Brother Gage.

"Release Young Master Harper!" Brother Gage walked over with ten dark-skinned men.

Brandon quickly ran behind Brother Gage, pointing at Jeff and shouting, "Jeff, today I'm going to cripple you! I'll make sure you can never be a bodyguard again!"
