Chapter 61 - Episode 61 – The Friend Who Knew Too Much

🚆 Love Train in Facebook Station

06:18 PM – Underground Safe House

The system screens had finally gone quiet.

No alerts.

No warnings.

No active tracking.

For the first time—

It felt like they could breathe.

At the center, Srikant stood near the table, arms crossed, thinking.

Beside him, Rudra Sen was still monitoring residual signals.

And a few steps away—

Sasmita leaned against the wall.

Silent.

Observing.

Unexpected Entry

Suddenly—

A soft beep echoed.

Hidden door access triggered.

Rudra's head snapped up.

"That's not us."

Srikant instantly picked up his weapon.

"Open feed."

The security screen flickered—

A man appeared.

Calm. Familiar.

Not a stranger.

Recognition

Srikant's eyes narrowed.

"...Arjun?"

The man on screen smiled slightly.

"You took your time recognizing me."

Rudra frowned.

"You know him?"

Srikant didn't look away.

"Old contact."

Pause.

"Very reliable."

Entry Granted

After a few seconds of silence—

Srikant gave a small nod.

"Let him in."

Rudra hesitated.

"This could be a setup."

Srikant replied—

"If it is… we'll know."

Face to Face

The door opened.

The man walked in.

Confident.

Relaxed.

No visible threat.

He looked at Srikant—

"Still alive. Impressive."

Srikant replied calmly—

"Still talking too much."

A slight smirk.

Tension… but familiar.

Sasmita's Reaction

But behind them—

Sasmita was watching.

Closely.

Her eyes didn't show warmth.

Didn't show trust.

Only calculation.

Information Exchange

Arjun stepped closer.

"I heard about the global alert."

"Whole system is hunting you."

Rudra crossed his arms—

"And you just walked in like it's nothing?"

Arjun shrugged—

"I know ways around systems."

Something Feels Off

Srikant studied him carefully.

"You came here without being tracked?"

Arjun smiled—

"I told you… I'm still good at this."

Subtle Warning

Sasmita finally spoke.

Soft.

Calm.

"He's lying."

Silence.

Everyone turned toward her.

Arjun's smile didn't fade.

But his eyes…

Changed slightly.

Tension Rises

Srikant looked between them.

"Explain."

Sasmita walked slowly closer.

Her gaze locked on Arjun.

"His entry pattern…"

"Too clean."

"Too perfect."

Pause.

"Someone cleared the path for him."

The Truth Begins

Rudra's voice dropped—

"Axis?"

Sasmita nodded slightly.

Arjun finally spoke—

"You've changed."

Sasmita replied—

"I see more clearly now."

The Mask Drops

Silence.

Then—

Arjun sighed lightly.

"Fine."

His tone shifted.

Less friendly.

More controlled.

"You were always sharp, Srikant…"

"But you were never meant to win."

Betrayal

In a split second—

Arjun pulled a hidden weapon.

Aimed directly at Srikant.

CLICK.

Gun ready.

Rudra reacted instantly—

"DROP IT!"

But Arjun didn't move.

The Setup Revealed

"You think I came here to help?" Arjun said calmly.

"Every step you took…"

"Every escape…"

"Every survival…"

Pause.

"Was observed."

Target Confirmed

His eyes locked on Srikant.

"You're the center of this game."

"Not her."

That line hit differently.

Srikant's expression hardened.

"Then come and finish it."

The Twist

Before anyone could act—

Sasmita moved.

Fast.

She stepped between them.

Gun now pointed at her.

Arjun frowned slightly.

"You're protecting him?"

The Strange Response

Sasmita looked at him.

Calm.

Too calm.

"No."

Pause.

"I'm correcting the outcome."

Sudden Action

In one swift motion—

She shifted the gun angle.

Twisted Arjun's wrist.

CRACK!

Gun dropped.

Srikant moved instantly—

Pinned him to the ground.

Rudra secured him.

Truth Under Pressure

Arjun struggled slightly.

But then laughed.

"You're already too late."

Srikant's grip tightened.

"For what?"

Arjun looked straight at Sasmita.

"Phase Four…"

"Already started."

Final Scene

Silence.

Heavy.

Dangerous.

Srikant slowly looked at Sasmita.

She didn't react.

Didn't ask.

Didn't panic.

Only one line—

"What is Phase Four?"

Arjun smiled faintly.

"You'll see…"

Far away—

Watching everything—

Sovereign stood still.

Beside him,

Meera Vashisht spoke softly—

"They captured the agent."

Sovereign's reply—

"Doesn't matter."

Pause.

"Because the real trigger…"

His eyes focused on Sasmita.

"Is already inside."
