Chapter 33 - Episode 33 – The Queen’s Breaking Point

The video kept replaying in Sasmita's mind.

Her father… tied to a chair.

Bruised. Unconscious.

Vikram's cold voice echoing like poison.

Her fingers trembled uncontrollably.

"This is because of me…" she whispered.

Srikant grabbed her shoulders firmly.

"No. This is because Vikram crossed a line."

"He targeted my family!" Her voice cracked. "You said you would protect me!"

"I will," he said, eyes burning. "And I will bring him back alive if needed."

For the first time, Sasmita saw pure rage in him.

Not just anger.

War.

11:45 PM – Emergency Strategy Room

All screens active.

Tracking signals.

Phone triangulation.

Data analysts working fast.

"Trace the number used for video transmission," Srikant ordered.

"Encrypted, Sir. Routed through multiple VPN layers."

"Break it."

Sasmita stood silently behind him.

Her tears had stopped.

Something else had replaced fear.

Cold determination.

A new message popped on screen.

Unknown Number:

"Warehouse 19. Come alone. Or next video will be worse."

Srikant's jaw tightened.

"It's a trap."

"Of course it is," Sasmita said quietly.

He turned to her.

"You're not coming."

She looked at him directly.

"It's my father."

"That's exactly why you're not coming."

She stepped closer.

"If I stay here hiding, I'll never forgive myself."

"You think this is bravery? It's emotional risk."

"And what you do every night is what?"

Silence.

His team exchanged glances.

She wasn't the scared girl from before.

She had changed.

Finally, Srikant said:

"You stay inside the armored vehicle. No heroics."

She nodded.

12:30 AM – Warehouse 19

Abandoned. Rusted metal doors. Flickering light inside.

Sea wind howling.

It felt like walking into darkness itself.

Srikant's convoy stopped 200 meters away.

Snipers positioned on rooftops.

Drone feed active.

Sasmita's heartbeat felt like thunder in her ears.

The warehouse door slowly opened.

Inside—

Her father was tied to a chair in the center.

Alone.

No guards visible.

Too quiet.

"Thermal scan," Srikant whispered.

"Negative. Only one visible heat source."

"That's impossible," he muttered.

He walked forward cautiously.

Every step measured.

The metal floor creaked.

Suddenly—

The door slammed shut behind him.

All lights turned off.

Sasmita gasped inside the vehicle.

Screen feed went black.

"No signal!"

Her breathing became fast.

"Reconnect!"

Inside the warehouse—

Emergency red lights flickered.

Then Vikram's voice echoed from speakers.

"You always rush to save others, King."

Srikant stood still, eyes scanning.

"Where are you?"

"Oh I'm watching."

Suddenly, the walls shifted.

Hidden compartments opened.

Armed men stepped out from shadows.

It was a full ambush.

Gunfire exploded.

Outside, Srikant's team tried to break in.

But steel shutters locked automatically.

Sasmita's hands shook.

"I can't just sit here!"

She grabbed a communication device.

"Override code? How to unlock?"

One of the tech team shouted through comm:

"Panel on west wall! But it's inside!"

Without thinking—

She stepped out of the armored vehicle.

Guards tried to stop her.

"Ma'am please!"

But she ran.

Heart racing.

Fear screaming inside.

She reached the side entrance and saw a small external control box.

Locked.

She remembered something Srikant once showed her.

Emergency override keypad.

Her fingers trembled as she typed possible sequences.

Inside—

Srikant was fighting brutally.

Two attackers down.

Three more advancing.

A knife cut across his arm.

Blood.

But he didn't slow down.

Vikram finally appeared on upper platform.

"Look at you… bleeding for love."

"You've made your last mistake," Srikant growled.

Vikram laughed.

"You're distracted. That's your weakness."

Outside—

Sasmita finally cracked the code.

The shutter doors partially opened.

Srikant's team stormed in.

Gunfire intensified.

In chaos—

Vikram grabbed Sasmita's father and held a gun to his head.

"Stop! Or he dies!"

Everything froze.

Sasmita ran inside.

"No!"

Srikant shouted, "Stay back!"

Vikram smiled slowly.

"Perfect. The Queen arrives."

He pointed the gun tighter against her father's temple.

"Drop your weapon, King."

Srikant hesitated.

One wrong move—

Her father dies.

Sasmita's mind raced.

Fear. Panic. Love.

Then she shouted:

"You want revenge on him? Fine. Take me."

Everyone froze.

Srikant turned sharply.

"No."

Vikram's eyes gleamed.

"Interesting offer."

She stepped forward slowly.

"Leave my father. I'm your real target."

Her father weakly opened his eyes.

"Sas…mi…"

Tears burned her vision.

Srikant's voice was low and dangerous.

"You touch her, and I won't just end you. I'll erase your existence."

Vikram chuckled.

"Threats. Again."

He pushed her father aside suddenly—

Gunshot fired.

Srikant moved faster than anyone.

He shot Vikram's hand.

The gun fell.

Chaos exploded again.

Srikant reached Vikram in seconds and punched him hard.

They fought violently.

Pure rage.

Years of betrayal.

Meanwhile, Sasmita rushed to her father.

He was alive.

Weak. But alive.

Police sirens echoed in distance.

Backup arrived.

Vikram, injured but conscious, was finally restrained.

For the first time—

He couldn't escape.

Srikant stood over him.

Breathing heavy.

"You attacked my family," he said coldly.

"This war ends now."

Vikram smirked weakly.

"You think I'm the final enemy?"

That sentence lingered like poison.

Aftermath

Ambulance lights flashing.

Her father taken safely.

Sasmita stood silently.

Hands still shaking.

Srikant approached slowly.

"You shouldn't have offered yourself."

"And you shouldn't carry everything alone," she replied.

He looked at her deeply.

"You almost got yourself killed."

"You almost got killed too."

Silence.

Then he gently held her face.

"You scared me."

Her voice softened.

"You scared me too."

For the first time—

Both understood something.

Love wasn't just romance.

It was fear of losing.

🔥 Cliffhanger

As Vikram was taken away—

One officer whispered to Srikant:

"Sir… this man was receiving orders from someone else."

Srikant's eyes darkened.

"Who?"

"Unknown ID. But powerful."

Somewhere far away—

A mysterious figure watched the news feed.

And smiled.

"The game has only begun."
