Chapter 11 - Episode 11 – The Truth Behind the King

The air between them felt heavier than ever.

Sasmita stood in front of Srikant, her heart racing but her eyes steady.

"You said I should be ready," she whispered. "I am."

For a few seconds, Srikant didn't speak.

The powerful man who made others tremble… was now silent.

"I was not born rich," he began slowly. "I was not born powerful."

She listened carefully.

"I grew up watching my father work under people who treated him like nothing. Loyalty meant nothing in that world. Only fear had value."

His voice was calm, but there was pain beneath it.

"Vikram and I met when we were young. We were ambitious. Hungry. We wanted control… respect."

"And you chose violence?" she asked softly.

"I chose survival," he replied.

He looked away for a moment.

"We built an empire from scratch. Deals. Connections. Protection networks. People started calling me 'King' because I never lost."

She swallowed.

"And the lives he mentioned?"

He didn't answer immediately.

Silence filled the space again.

"In my world," he said finally, "weakness gets erased."

Her heart trembled at those words.

"Are you a criminal?" she asked directly.

His eyes met hers.

"I run things that powerful people don't want to show their faces in."

It wasn't a full confession.

But it wasn't denial either.

Tears formed in her eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because when I talk to you…" his voice softened, "I forget that world exists."

The honesty in that sentence hurt more than lies.

She turned away, trying to control her emotions.

"Vikram said you betrayed him."

Srikant's expression hardened slightly.

"He wanted control without limits. No rules. No boundaries. Even I have lines I don't cross."

"And now?"

"Now he thinks you are my weakness."

She looked at him sharply.

"Am I?"

He stepped closer.

"No."

Then after a pause—

"You are the only reason I want to be stronger."

Her heartbeat echoed loudly.

This wasn't just love.

It was dangerous love.

Suddenly, his phone rang.

One of his men.

"Sir, Vikram has started moving shipments near the east docks."

Srikant's eyes darkened instantly.

"I'll handle it."

He cut the call.

Sasmita noticed the transformation.

From emotional man…

Back to King.

"You're going, aren't you?" she asked.

"I have to."

"Will someone get hurt?"

He didn't answer.

Instead, he said—

"Trust me."

She stepped back slightly.

"I don't know if I trust your world."

He nodded slowly.

"That's why I told you… once you hear the truth, the train cannot return."

He walked toward his car.

Before entering, he turned once more.

"If you want a simple life, step away now."

Her heart screamed to run.

But her feet refused to move.

Because somewhere between fear and love…

She had already chosen.

Meanwhile, in a warehouse near the docks—

Vikram stood watching containers being loaded.

He smiled coldly.

"Let him come," he said.

Then he looked at his phone.

On the screen—

A live location.

Sasmita's location.

He whispered softly—

"Kings don't lose by force…

they lose by emotion."
