The following day, I awoke rather late in the morning, having indulged in a long, much-needed sleep just as I had anticipated.
Truthfully, sluggishness still clung to me, yet I felt much better than I had the day prior. I slowly rolled my injured shoulder, listening to a faint pop.
"Hm, it still feels a bit stiff, but well enough," I muttered to myself with a faint smile before finally rising from the bed.
"Your Majesty."
"Gods!" I let out a startled gasp, pivoting sharply to see Regina standing quietly to the side. A neatly folded set of my clothes was cradled carefully in her arms.
"I… I apologize if I startled you, Your Majesty," she stammered, quickly bowing her head.
"Well, you certainly did surprise me," I replied, smiling as I closed the distance between us. "It appears you have officially resumed your duties as my personal maid."
She gave a timid nod. "If it does not displease you..."
