Chapter 57 - Chapter 57 – Dormammu! I’m Here to Negotiate!

Back at his apartment, Deadpool casually reached for the doorknob.

Normally, opening the door would reveal the small living room of his burrito shop apartment.

But today—

The moment the door opened, the familiar living room did not appear.

Instead, behind the door stretched a vast, endless library.

Deadpool blinked.

He stared at the doorway quietly for several seconds.

Then he sighed.

"Well… that's definitely not my living room."

The library looked ancient and enormous.

Towering shelves stretched endlessly in every direction, each one packed tightly with thick books whose pages had turned yellow with age. Some of the bindings were cracked, others blackened by time.

The scent of old paper and dust filled the air.

Yet strangely, the place wasn't dusty.

The shelves were clean.

The books looked well maintained.

It was obvious someone read them frequently.

Deadpool took a deep breath.

Then he calmly pulled out his phone.

He typed two emails.

One addressed to Jarvis.

The other addressed to Natasha.

Both emails were scheduled to be automatically sent half a month later.

Only after finishing this did Deadpool slowly change into his black and red combat suit.

He tightened his gloves.

"Well," he muttered.

"No point hiding now."

With that, he stepped through the door.

---

Inside the library, the silence was overwhelming.

Row after row of bookshelves rose like walls, disappearing into the distance.

Deadpool's eyes widened dramatically.

"Wow."

He slowly looked around.

"Is this the legendary…"

He raised both hands dramatically.

"Ocean of Knowledge?"

He grabbed a random book from a nearby shelf and read the title aloud.

"Sabotage's Thunder Spellcasting Explained."

Deadpool frowned.

"Sabotage?"

"Isn't Sabotage a Volkswagen car model?"

A voice calmly replied from somewhere nearby.

"That's Passat."

Deadpool scratched his head.

"Isn't Passat that anti-material sniper rifle?"

"That's Barrett."

Deadpool nodded thoughtfully.

"Isn't Barrett that little mustache guy from Berlin?"

"That's Hitler."

Deadpool paused.

"…Isn't Hitler that art school dropout?"

The voice hesitated briefly.

"…Yes."

"That one is correct."

Deadpool slowly turned around.

In the distance stood a bald woman wearing a simple yellow sorcerer's robe.

Her expression was calm.

Her presence felt strangely natural.

She wasn't particularly beautiful.

But standing there, she gave the feeling that she belonged there completely.

As if the entire library existed around her.

Deadpool stared.

"⊙ω⊙"

Then suddenly he gasped dramatically.

"Could you possibly be…"

He clasped his hands excitedly.

"The great Ancient One?"

"The mighty Sorcerer Supreme of the legendary Kamar-Taj?"

The woman nodded calmly.

Deadpool gasped again.

"Could you also be the legendary sorcerer who has silently protected Earth's dimension for hundreds of years?"

"The Guardian of Earth itself?"

The Ancient One nodded again.

Deadpool suddenly grabbed his face in shock.

"Oh my God!"

"I'm so lucky!"

"To meet someone as legendary as you!"

He leaned forward excitedly.

"To be honest… I'd love to join—"

The Ancient One's expression did not change.

Her voice remained calm.

"Dimensional Demon God."

"You've chosen the wrong dimension to invade."

Deadpool froze.

"…What?"

His eyes widened.

"Wait wait wait wait WAIT!"

He waved both hands rapidly.

"Sorcerer, there's clearly been a misunderstanding!"

"I'm Deadpool!"

"Deadpool!"

"Wade Wilson!"

The Ancient One frowned slightly.

The name sounded familiar.

Deadpool noticed her hesitation.

His eyes lit up.

"I knew it!"

"I knew you'd heard of me!"

After all…

How could someone who had lived for centuries not know Deadpool, the greatest hero roaming the multiverse?

The Ancient One narrowed her eyes thoughtfully.

Memories surfaced slowly.

A figure appeared in her mind.

Black suit.

Red accents.

Dual swords.

Endless nonsense.

A chaotic personality.

Her eyes widened slightly.

"Oh."

"It's you."

"You're out?"

Then she frowned again.

"No."

"That's not correct."

She looked closely at Deadpool.

"The one I know wears a black suit with red highlights."

"His name is Wilson Wade."

"You are not him."

Deadpool waved casually.

"Oh, that's another me."

"From another universe."

"But we're basically the same."

"All superheroes who defend justice!"

"All protectors of Earth!"

"All trying our best to follow in your footsteps!"

The Ancient One looked unconvinced.

"You really are Deadpool?"

Deadpool straightened his posture proudly.

"Absolutely."

"How did you arrive in this dimension?" she asked.

Deadpool shrugged.

"I naturally possess the ability to break the fourth wall."

The Ancient One frowned.

"The Deadpool I know does not possess that ability."

Deadpool scratched his chin.

"Well… maybe his version is limited."

"He can only cross over mentally."

"I can cross over physically."

"It's like he talks big but fails when things get serious."

The Ancient One asked quietly.

"How did you obtain such an ability?"

Deadpool inhaled dramatically.

"That's a long story."

"But I can shorten it."

He cleared his throat.

"If we didn't have this ability…"

"A group of comic artists, directors, actors, and screenwriters would starve to death."

"A giant film company would collapse."

"Audiences would lose faith in movies."

"The entertainment industry would crash."

"The global economy would collapse."

"A financial crisis would spread worldwide."

"Then World War III would begin."

"Nuclear explosions everywhere."

"The Earth's ecosystem destroyed."

Deadpool nodded proudly.

"So to prevent all that…"

"We gained this ability."

The Ancient One stared at him silently.

"…What nonsense."

But strangely…

This chaotic speaking style did remind her of that other Deadpool.

She shook her head.

"Enough."

"Let's change the topic."

She looked at him seriously.

"You possess an immortal body as well?"

Deadpool slapped his chest proudly.

"Of course!"

"Then what is your purpose here?"

Deadpool grinned excitedly.

"I want to join Kamar-Taj—"

He suddenly paused.

"Wait."

"Why are your hands moving like that?"

The Ancient One calmly slipped on her Sling Ring.

She flicked her hand lightly.

CRACK.

Space fractured like glass.

Deadpool panicked.

"WAIT!"

"BIG misunderstanding!"

"Ancient One, I swear—"

She spoke calmly.

"Just a small test."

"If you want to join Kamar-Taj."

"You only need to retrieve someone."

"Very simple."

Deadpool felt a terrible sense of danger.

"Hold on."

"There's a trial?!"

"Doctor Strange didn't have a trial!"

"This is discrimination!"

"I refuse—"

WHOOSH!

A portal suddenly opened beneath him.

Deadpool vanished instantly.

At the same time, a piece of information appeared mysteriously in his mind.

Deadpool blinked.

"…I didn't even finish my sentence."

He sighed.

"So the other Deadpool must have done something terrible."

"Otherwise why would the Ancient One hate me this much?"

---

Deadpool slowly opened his eyes.

He looked around.

Everything was black.

A vast, endless void stretched in all directions.

No ground.

No sky.

Just darkness.

Suddenly—

His instincts screamed.

A massive wave of black mist gathered in the distance.

The mist condensed slowly.

Then it formed something enormous.

A giant.

A being tens of thousands of meters tall.

Its eyes shone like distant stars.

Its mouth looked like a rotating black hole, constantly devouring energy from the surrounding darkness.

The black fog around its body radiated decay and destruction.

Even a single strand of it felt capable of reducing Deadpool to dust.

Deadpool stared upward.

"…Ah."

"I know where I am now."

The Dark Dimension.

Deadpool clenched his fists.

"Ancient One!"

"You bastard!"

"If I can't beat you…"

"Then I'll take it out on your apprentice!"

"Just wait until I meet Strange!"

Somewhere far away, a famous surgeon suddenly sneezed.

"ACHOO!"

Deadpool shook his head.

Still…

He was curious.

What exactly had the previous Deadpool done to the Ancient One to make her react this aggressively?

Just meeting him had resulted in being thrown into the Dark Dimension.

Then the giant entity spoke.

Its voice shook reality itself.

"Who… are you?"

The ruler of the Dark Dimension.

The ancient cosmic entity.

Dormammu.

He looked down at the tiny human standing before him.

Deadpool took a deep breath.

Then he cupped his hands around his mouth like a megaphone and shouted loudly.

"Dormammu!"

"I've come to negotiate!"
