Chapter 26 - Truth or Dare

Author's POV

Jay headed downstairs with them as Serina called. As soon as she stepped down, she froze. Standing in the center of the foyer were three faces she hadn't expected : Percy,Jane, and Kyle.

"Jane? Kyle? Percy?" Jay shrieked. She sprinted across the floor, launching herself straight into Jane's arms before pulling the boys into a tangled tight hug.

"Surprise, little ninja," Kyle chuckled, ruffling her hair. "We heard you were busy establishing a new world order in J-Mia-Land."

"And hiring DJs with tacos," Percy added. "Honestly, Jay, we leave you alone for a few weeks and you turn into a WWE superstar?"

Jane pulled back, eyes narrowing. "You look... vibrant. Is this from the 'unleashed salsa' incident, or is there a certain Watson effect?"

Before Jay could defend herself, Serina stepped forward. "We'll leave you youngsters to your reunion," she said with a wink. "We're heading over to the Fernandes Mansion to give you some space. Try not to break the house."

As they left, the energy shifted. "Alright!" Ella shouted. "Now that the adults are gone—Truth or Dare. No mercy."

The group migrated to the lounge. Section E took up most of the floor everyone sitted forming a circle .

"I'll start," Ella said, a predatory glint in her eyes. She rotated the bottle it stopped at Mia "Mia. Truth or Dare?"

"Truth," Mia said, clutching a cushion.

"Is it true you've been crushing on Ben since he saved you from that spider in the garden?"

The room erupted. Ben turned bright red, and Mia looked like she wanted to evaporate. "He... he was very brave about the spider," she mumbled.

"Oooooh!" Section E chanted.

Next, the bottle landed on Cin. "Dare!" Cin squeaked, trying to be brave.

"I dare you," Felix grinned, "to do the Noodle Dance while singing a heartbreak song directed at Rakki."

Cin groaned but stood up. He started waving his arms like wet spaghetti, wiggling his hips in a ridiculous jelly-like motion while belting out a dramatic, off-key version of a breakup ballad. Everyone were wheezing with laughter, while Rakki was flushed pink.

The bottle landed on Jay then. "I'll do the honors," Freya whispered."jay truth or dare "

"Dare ", jay choosed.

"Jay. A spicy dare. I dare you to sit in Keifer's lap for the next three rounds. No pillows allowed."

The room went silent. Aries jumped up—"Now wait just a minute—!"—but Jane pulled him back down.

Jay walked over, her heart hammering. Keifer pulled her in his lap. Instantly, his arm wound firmly around her waist, locking her in place.

"Careful," he whispered in her ear. "You're still not wearing that lip gloss. I might have to penalize you later."

The energy in the lounge was reaching a boiling point. Jay was still perched on Keifer's lap, her face practically glowing in the dark, while Keifer looked like he'd just won the lottery and was daring anyone to try and take his prize away.

"Next round!" Mia shouted, spinning the bottle with a flick of her wrist. It whizzed past Denzel and Cin before clinking to a halt in front of Kyle.

"Oh, Kuya," Mia smirked. "Truth or Dare?"

"I don't back down. Dare," Kyle said, cracking his knuckles.

"I will give you dare", Jay said smirking 😏," "I dare you to pick up Jane—bridal style—and do fifteen squats while reciting the 'National Anthem of J-Mia-Land' in a deep, romantic growl."

The room erupted. Kyle froze, his eyes darting to Jane. They had been dancing around their feelings for months, everyone knew they were basically engaged in their hearts, but neither had folded yet. Jane's face flushed a soft pink. "Well? Don't keep the lady waiting, Kyle," Keifer teased

Kyle stepped forward, his heart racing. He scooped Jane up, her arms instinctively winding around his neck.

"All hail... the land of the taco," Kyle growled, his voice vibrating against Jane's chest as he dropped into a squat. By the tenth one, Jane was giggling, her face buried in his shoulder to hide her blush. Edrix and Eman were recording the whole thing, wheezing.

"The chemistry is blinding!" Felix yelled.

Kyle set Jane down, his hands lingering on her waist a second too long. He cleared his throat and spun the bottle.

YES!" the boys—Felix, Drew, and Josh—shrieked in unison, throwing couch cushions like confetti.

The bottle spun again, this time landing on Eren.

"Eren! Truth or Dare?" Blaster asked.

"Truth!"

"How many times have you actually 'borrowed' Keifer's expensive cologne to impress a girl on a date?"

Eman winced, glancing at Keifer. "Uhh... every Friday for the last six months?"

Keifer didn't even look up from Jay's hair. "I'm billing you, Erem. With interest."

Finally, the bottle made a slow, agonizing rotation. It skipped past Kit and Mayo, wobbled past Jane, and stopped dead on Keifer.

The room went dead silent. Even the "Chaos Crew" held their breath.

"I'll ask," Yuri said, his voice dropping an octave. He was still salty about the lap-sitting. "Keifer. Spicy Truth. If you had to choose between your entire business empire and one more night of 'serious business' with the girl on your lap... which one are you signing away?"

The tension was so thick you could feel it in your teeth. Jay held her breath, her heart drumming against Keifer's chest.

Keifer leaned forward, his arm tightening around Jay's waist until there wasn't an inch of space between them. He looked Yuri dead in the eye, his expression completely unreadable.

"The empire is replaceable," Keifer rasped, his voice sending a shiver down Jay's spine. "But I think we all know I don't like to share what's mine. I'll keep both—and I'll start the 'serious business' five minutes after this game ends."

"HE SAID IT!" Ella and Freya shrieked, jumping onto the sofa. Yuri and David started chanting, "CEO! CEO! CEO!" while Jane just gave a thumbs up. And Aries and Percy fuming with anger I eyes saying Don't you dare.

Keifer slinned the bottle. It landed on Jane.

"Jane! Truth or Dare?"

"Truth," Jane said, still breathless from Kyle's "taco" serenade.

" If Kyle proposed right now with a plastic ring from a cereal box, would you say yes?"

The room went dead silent. Kyle's breath hitched. Jane looked at him, her eyes softening in a way that made Mica and Grace go "Awwwww."

"I'd say yes even if it was a rubber band," Jane whispered.

"KISS! KISS! KISS!" Everyone started chanting, but Kyle just grabbed Jane's hand, squeezing it tight, his face full of unsaid confessions.

The bottle made another spin and landed on Jay again

"Jay," Cin grinned. "Since you're already in position... I dare you to whisper the 'spiciest' thing you can think of into Keifer's ear. And Keifer? You have to tell us on a scale of one to ten how much it 'tempted' you."

Jay felt like she was going to spontaneously combust. She leaned in, her lips inches from Keifer's ear, and whispered:

"You keep talking about 'serious business,' Keifer... but you're still sitting in a room full of people. If you really want to 'audit' my lips, you're going to have to do a lot more than just stare at them. Because right now? I'm the one in control... and I think you're terrified of what happens when I actually let you touch me."

The room waited. Keifer closed his eyes for a second, a muscle in his jaw twitching.

"Scale of one to ten?" Keifer asked, his voice sounding like gravel. He looked at the group, then back at Jay. "That was an eleven."

The tension in the room was so thick it was practically humming. Keifer's "eleven" comment had sent a shockwave through the lounge, but the Chaos Crew wasn't ready to let the night end just yet.

"Alright, settle down, you animals!" Ella yelled, spinning the bottle again to break the suffocating heat between Jay and Keifer. The bottle blurred, finally pointing its nozzle at Ella herself.

"Oh, self-inflicted damage!" Jane laughed, still clutching Kyle's hand. "Ella, Truth or Dare?"

"Dare! Give me your worst!"

"I dare you," Percy smirked, finally finding a way to vent his frustration, "to get down on one knee and give Aries the most dramatic, soul-crushing marriage proposal this house has ever seen. Use a piece of popcorn as the ring."

The room erupted as Ella snatched a piece of popcorn, slid across the floor, and grabbed a stunned Aries by the hand. "Aries! My moon, my stars, my favorite nerd! Will you make me the happiest chaos-agent in the world and marry me?" Aries turned a shade of purple that matched the rug, stuttering as the boys started humming the wedding march.

"My turn!" Aries squeaked, spinning the bottle in a panic. It landed on Percy.

"Truth," Percy said firmly.

"What is the absolute ugliest, most embarrassing thing you've ever done to impress a girl?"

Percy groaned, burying his face in his hands. "I once tried to serenaded a girl by playing the recorder with my nose. I ended up sneezing so hard I gave myself a nosebleed and fainted on her porch." The lounge dissolved into hysterics, even Keifer letting out a rare, genuine chuckle.

Game continued with a few more rounds with David calling Freya with spicy names,Blaster showing his wedding playlist, Felix proposing basketball and so on.
