The moment Fangxi stepped into the room his gaze locked in place her forze completely.
Shock written all over his face as if he had just seen a ghost slowly raising his finger in disbelief he asked.
"yo...you… when did you.. get here?!"
Right in front of him stood Zavian—extremely handsome, commanding, and dressed like a professional bodyguard.
His hands were casually tucked into his pant pockets. The one who had looked funny before now appeared mysterious and strikingly handsome.
Before Fangxi had even entered, Zavian had already used his strange magic to wear the coat and pants from the newly drawn sketch.
Hearing Fangxi, Zavian replied in his cold, deep voice:
"Just got.. here."
Fangxi couldn't believe it. Hesitating, he said,
"But… this early in the.. morning?!"
Zavian shifted slightly and said in a calm, deep tone,
"I prefer getting things..done before time… By the way, you wanted to talk to...me about..something?"
Fangxi nodded, trying to gather his thoughts, and said seriously,
"Yeah… you're right. I did need to talk to you...about something important."
"Alright, we'll talk after... breakfast."
Hearing this, Zavian calmly blinked and gave a slight nod before saying,
"I'm downstairs.. in the parking.. area.
Zavian turned to leave, but as he passed by Sheyaan, he looked at her deeply—as if trying to remind her of something. Sheyaan just stood there silently, watching him.
As soon as Zavian left, Fangxi tried to say something,
"Sheyaan… about—"
But Sheyaan immediately raised her hand to stop him and said in an irritated tone,
"I don't want to talk... about last night! I need to freshen up… and then we're... going shopping.., remember?!"
Sheyaan glared at Fangxi so sharply that he couldn't say another word. He simply replied softly,
"Yeah… I remember. Just get ready and.. come downstairs soon."
With that, Fangxi went down to the hall. Sheyaan took a deep breath and walked toward the washroom.
When Fangxi reached the hall, he saw Chan, Manglong, and Lucy already sitting at the dining table, having breakfast.
Seeing all this, Fangxi had nothing left to say. He just stood there quietly, watching everything. Suddenly, a soft and sweet voice echoed from near the door:
"Fangxi!"
The moment he heard his name, Fangxi quickly turned toward the door.
For a second, he stood completely shocked, but the next moment,
a wide and genuine smile spread across his face. Walking quickly toward her, he said happily:
"Mom… you?!"
Standing at the doorway was Fangxi's mother. She had a suitcase in her hand, and her face carried a warm, loving smile.
She slowly stepped inside and pulled Fangxi into a hug. Gently, she asked:
"How are... you, beta?"
Fangxi, feeling comfort in her arms, replied softly,
"I'm completely... fine, Mom."
After pulling away, he asked,
"How is your...friend now? Is she.. okay?"
Fangxi's mother nodded happily and said,
"She's absolutely..fine now!"
Hearing this, Fangxi let out a relieved breath and said,
"That's great. Come, let's have breakfast...together."
With that, the two of them started walking toward the dining table.
Chan, Manglong, and Lucy, who were already seated there, watched them closely.
There was a strange silence in the air, which was suddenly broken by another voice echoing through the hall:
"Aunty… did you forget..about me?"
Hearing this, Fangxi and his mother turned around. There, standing on the stairs, was Sheyaan.
Her new look instantly grabbed everyone's attention. Dresses in a beautiful white frock paired with a soft wool cardigan She looked effortlessly graceful.
White shoes, open hair, and a slight cute pout on her face—everything about her made her look incredibly innocent and adorable.
Seeing her, a warm and genuine smile spread across Fangxi's mother's face. She said lovingly:
"How could I...ever forget you, my child? I missed you the most!"
Hearing this, a bright baby-like smile appeared on Sheyaan's face.
She was overjoyed and ran forward, hugging her Aunty tightly. Excitedly, she said:
"I missed you so... much too!"
Fangxi's mother gently caressed her waist and then pulled her back slightly, giving her cheek a soft, playful pat as she said:
"You've become..quite naughty!"
In response, Sheyaan simply flashed a playful smile. The tension that had filled the
atmosphere seemed to disappear for a moment. Seeing the two of them together, Fangxi smiled and said:
"If you both are...done catching up, how about we have... breakfast now?"
Sheyaan immediately made a playful face at Fangxi and softly replied, "Okay!"
But for Lucy, who was sitting at the table, all of this was hard to watch. Her face had turned red with anger.
A burning jealousy filled her heart—how could her mom care so much about Sheyaan?
Soon, the three of them also took their seats on the empty chairs at the table.
Just then, Miss Li noticed Chan and said with a smile,
"Chan, when did you..come?"
Hearing her, Chan lifted his gaze from the food and replied with a slight smile,
"Just a few... days ago… but you weren't here..at that time."
Hearing this, Mrs Li smiled and said,
"I see!"
Then Fangxi, Sheyaan, and Mrs Li started eating. Lucy, however, complained in a low but angry voice:
"Mom… I'm here too! You didn't even ask me... how I am… don't you love..me?"
Hearing Lucy's words, everyone at the table looked at her in surprise.
Lucy kept her gaze lowered, quietly eating while muttering to herself.
Miss Li looked at Lucy and said gently with a soft smile:
"That's not true.., Lucy. You all are the... same to me… I love all of you... very much."
Hearing this, Lucy shot a deep, hateful glance at Sheyaan, who was calmly eating her breakfast while looking back at her. With jealousy in her voice, Lucy said:
"It doesn't look...like that, Mom… Ever since Dad...left us, you've completely...changed!"
The moment those words left Lucy's mouth, a heavy silence fell over the table. Everyone was completely shocked.
Lucy's words created a heavy silence throughout the hall. The warm smile on Mrs Li's face disappeared in an instant. Just then, Fangxi looked at Lucy and said in a deep, anger-filled voice:
"Why do you...make such a big deal out of.. everything?! Mom loves everyone.. equally… and after Dad left, it's not Mom... who changed—it's you… and you... can never change.
Hearing such harsh words about herself, Lucy became extremely irritated.
Her anger was now completely out of control. She slammed her spoon onto the table and stood up, shouting furiously:
"Sheyaan! This is all...because of you!"
Hearing herself suddenly being blamed, Sheyaan stopped eating and looked at Lucy in shock. But Lucy wasn't going to stop. She screamed even louder:
"Ever since you came... into this house, you've ruined.. everything! You turned my brother... against me… and took my Mom away.. from me!"
Every word Lucy spoke hit Sheyaan like an arrow, and the atmosphere at the dining table had now completely turned into a battlefield.
Lucy voice rang through the hell, filling the air with tension and fear.
Consumed by her anger she had completely lost control pointing directly at Sheyaan, she shouted.
"The moment you... came into this house, you turned my Dad.. against me… and today, because of you,.. my Dad is no longer in this.. world!"
The moment those words left Lucy's mouth, it felt as if time had stopped.
Everyone at the table was completely shocked, staring at Lucy with heavy expressions.
Sheyaan, who had been silently enduring everything until now, froze. Her face turned pale, and a deep pain filled her eyes.
But Lucy wasn't done. She kept going:
"Sheyaan! You've ruined..everything… When are you finally... going to leave this.. house? Huh?!"
Hearing those poisonous words, Sheyaan slowly stood up from her chair.
Her face still held that same innocence, but now it was filled with deep sadness. In a trembling voice, she asked softly:
"wha... what are you.. saying?"
Hearing such an innocent question only fueled Lucy's anger even more.
She rushed toward Sheyaan and, standing right in front of her, shouted:
"You're not leaving this... house on your own… I'll be the one to... throw you out!"
With that, Lucy grabbed Sheyaan's hand tightly and began dragging her forcefully toward the door.
Lucy had gripped Sheyaan's hand mercilessly and was dragging her along. Crying out in pain and fear, Sheyaan screamed:
"Lucy, let go! What… what are you..doing?!"
Lucy's actions set the entire hall on edge. Everyone was completely shocked.
Fangxi shot up from his chair in anger and shouted at the top of his voice:
"Lucy! Stop!"
But Lucy seemed possessed by rage. She didn't listen to anyone. Just then, Mrs Li's angry voice echoed from behind:
"Lucy! Don't be...disrespectful… stop! Let go of..Sheyaan!"
But Lucy wasn't going to listen today. She kept dragging Sheyaan toward the door.
Tears filled Sheyaan's eyes as she cried and pleaded again and again,
"Lucy, please..let me go…!"
On the other side, Chan and Manglong sat silently, watching everything unfold. Manglong leaned closer and whispered into Chan's ear:
"What is she... doing? She's going to ruin...the whole plan!"
The two of them just sat there, watching the scene. Lucy dragged Sheyaan to the door and,
with all her strength, threw her outside. Sheyaan lost her balance and fell hard onto the stairs outside.
At the same moment, a heavy flower pot placed nearby fell and crashed directly onto Sheyaan's hand.
It shattered into pieces, and a painful scream escaped her lips:
"Aaaahhh!!!"
That scream was so piercing that it sent a jolt through Zavian, even from the parking area.
He turned around instantly and the moment his eyes fall on Sheyaan laying on the ground.
He froze shock flooded his senses and in a barely audible voice, his whispered
"Sheyaan!"
