The hushed conversation between chan Manglong and Lucy in the hall carrieda clear undertone of conspiracy.
thought their voice were low the intent behind their wounds was anything but innocent.
were just about to finalize their plans when suddenly, a loud and heavy voice echoed through the entire hall:
" What exactly... are you planning to handle...Chan..!"
The voice hit like an explosion. All three of them turned around in shock—their faces turned pale,
and their breaths got stuck in their throats. They were completely stunned.
From the front, Fangxi walked in like a king, full of attitude. A strange, victorious smile played on his lips.
Without caring about anyone, he walked straight up to Chan and stopped in front of him.
The pressure of Fangxi's presence was so intense that Chan, Manglong, and Lucy instinctively stood up together,
as if they had just been caught in a serious crime. Watching their nervousness, Fangxi let out a cold smile and said,
"Oh… why did you all.. stand up? Please, have a.. seat."
Seeing Fangxi speak with such politeness and formality only made them more uneasy.
Unable to withstand his mysterious tone, they quietly sat back down on the sofa.
Fangxi, with complete confidence, crossed one leg over the other and took his seat right in front of them.
Locking his deep, merciless gaze onto Chan's eyes, he smiled faintly and asked in a calm yet cutting voice:
"So, Chan… tell me, what's the... 'plan' ahead?"
The moment Fangxi uttered the word "plane" a wave of shock passed through the room.
Chan, Manglong, and Lucy all three where caught off guard the expression turning tense in an instant.
words felt as if someone had poured cold water over them. They looked at each other in silence,
and that silence only made the tension in the hall even heavier. Manglong tried to compose himself and asked in a deep voice,
"What exactly... are you trying to say?"
Hearing this, a dangerous smile appeared on Fangxi's lips. Casually changing the topic, he replied,
"Nothing much… I was just wondering, when are you...planning to join the..company? I mean, how long will you keep...enjoying things for free?"
Fangxi's taunt struck Manglong like a sharp blade. His face twisted with anger and embarrassment.
Chan and Lucy, too, were burning inside at Fangxi's audacity and disrespect.
The atmosphere in the hall felt like it could explode at any moment.
Fangxi glanced at their expressions and stood up from the sofa with a faint smirk.
"Alright, I'm quite... tired now. Take your time… think it over and let me.. know, okay?"
His careless attitude was like rubbing salt into their wounds. Just as Fangxi was about to turn and leave,
Lucy could no longer hold herself back. She stood up in anger and, clearly irritated, spoke up to him…
"Rest later...at least listen to me first.!"
Lucy snapped her voice filled with anger Fangxi halted in his tracks.
His expression turning serious as he looked at her A faint frown slowly crept onto his face.
calculated smile formed on Lucy's lips as she said,
"To be honest, Fangxi… I was actually...waiting for you, because there's something very important...I need to tell..you."
Fangxi's tone turned cold and flat.
"Whatever it is,...say it clearly."
Seeing her chance, Lucy began to poison the situation. In a sharp voice, she said,
"Fine… do you even know... what Sheyaan did today? She crossed all her... limits! The way you think she's...innocent—she's not like that... at all!"
At this, anger flashed in Fangxi's eyes. Staring straight at Lucy, he demanded,
"What… did Sheyaan.. do?!"
Lucy immediately fired back sarcastically,
"Today, she did something you... couldn't have even imagined! I saw it...with my own eyes… she was with a guy, fulfilling her... 'heart's desire'!"
She looked at Fangxi mockingly and added,
"You understand what I mean... by 'heart's desire,' don't..you?"
Hearing her disgusting and manipulative words, Fangxi's face burned with anger. Gritting his teeth, he shouted,
"Watch your..words! You're going too... far now!"
But Lucy wasn't someone who would back down. She shot back instantly,
"I'm not the one...crossing limits… it's Sheyaan...who is!"
Finishing her words with a poisonous smile, Lucy said,
"If you don't believe... me, you can ask her...yourself!"
That sentence became the final straw for Fangxi. His anger was now completely out of control. Roaring in fury, he shouted at the top of his voice:
"SHEYAANNN…!!!"
His voice thundered through the entire hall like lightning, echoing off the walls and reaching all the way upstairs.
Upstairs, however, the atmosphere was completely different. Sheyaan was peacefully absorbed in playing a game on her phone,
while a short distance away, Zavian sat on the sofa, using his own phone. A calm silence existed between them.
But the moment Fangxi's furious voice reached Sheyaan's ears, she froze.
Her eyes snapped away from her phone, her breath turning uneven. In a trembling voice, she whispered,
"Fan… Fangxi? Why did he shout..like that…?"
Seeing the fear spreading across her face, Zavian also lifted his gaze from his phone and looked at her. He already understood—
the storm downstairs had begun.
Hearing Fangxi's roar, Sheyaan was completely overwhelmed with fear. But Zavian, in his usual calm and cold voice, said seriously,
"We'll only know once... we go downstairs. Let's see!"
Hearing this, Sheyaan slowly nodded and put her phone aside. She got off the bed, and soon both she and Zavian stepped out of the room.
Sheyaan was walking very slowly, her hands tightly clenched as if she were fighting an unknown fear. Nervously, she asked Zavian
do...do you think Lucy told... Fangxi everything?"
When Zavian looked at her, her anxiety was clearly visible on her face. In a flat tone, he tried to reassure her,
"There's no need... to be afraid."
Hearing this, Sheyaan made a small face and quickly replied,
"How can I not... be scared…? What Lucy saw was the... truth, wasn't it? Saying this,!"
Frustration evident on her face she turned toward Zavian, glaring straight into her eyes.
"This all happened... beasuse of you.."
She said sharply.
"I told you to put me down.., but you didn't... listen to me at all!""
Hearing Sheyaan's accusation, Zavian narrowed his eyes at her and asked sarcastically,
"What did you just say… this happened because...of me?!"
He took a deep breath and, in a teasing tone, said,
"Fine then… I'll tell Fangxi... that everything Lucy saw is true… and that you even... kissed me!"
The moment she heard this, it felt like the ground slipped beneath Sheyaan's feet.
She was completely shocked, her words stumbling out in fear as she said,
"Hey! What are you... saying? You… you can't tell him..that!"
Zavian gave a faint smirk, clearly enjoying her panic, and replied casually,
"Why not? I'll definitely...tell him."
With that, he quickly stepped ahead and walked off. Seeing that he was actually heading downstairs,
Sheyaan hurried after him in panic. Within moments, the two of them reached the hall.
The sight in front of her made Sheyaan's throat go dry. Fangxi was standing there, and the anger on his face was unmistakable.
Sheyaan moved forward with trembling steps, while Fangxi stared at her with intense, furious eyes.
As Sheyaan, trembling with fear, stepped closer to Fangxi, a heavy silence fell over the hall.
Fangxi fixed his furious gaze on her and asked in a low but firm voice,
"Sheyaan… tell me, what happened.. today?!"
Zavian stood a short distance away, silently watching her. His face remained expressionless, but his eyes followed her every move.
Sheyaan turned once to look at him—there was innocence in her eyes, and a silent plea for help.
Then she slowly lifted her gaze toward Fangxi and said in a shaky voice,
"Fan… Fangxi, I'm..I'm sorry!"
The moment Fangxi heard the word "sorry," his anger flared even more. He roared,
"I don't want to hear... your 'sorry'! Why is Lucy saying such disgusting things...about you? Tell me right now what... happened today!"
Sheyaan was completely shaken. Even though she hadn't done anything wrong, Fangxi's anger left her unable to speak.
Watching her being scolded like this, Lucy, Manglong, and Chan—standing in another corner of the hall—shared faint, cruel smiles. Their plan seemed to be working.
Fangxi's patience finally snapped. He shouted even louder than before,
"Sheyaan! I said.., tell me!"
At his loud outburst, Sheyaan's whole body trembled. Her heart sank,
and tears began to stream from her innocent eyes. In a quivering voice, she cried softly,
"Fangxi… I… I didn't do anything wrong…"
Crying, Sheyaan tried to defend herself,
" What Lucy saw....isn't true!"
The moment Lucy heard Sheyaan claim her innocence, she flared up in anger. She stepped forward and shouted,
"What do you mean, Sheyaan? Are you saying... I'm lying? Huh?!"
Zavian stood at a distance, his face calm and unreadable, silently watching Lucy yell at Sheyaan.
Lucy quickly turned toward Fangxi, ready to spit out her poisonous lie,
"Fangxi, I saw it with my own... eyes—how she was with...Mr...--
But before she could finish, Zavian, standing afar, swiftly flicked his hand in a sharp motion.
In that very instant, a red glow shot out from his hand and struck Lucy directly.
The scene changed in a heartbeat. Lucy froze mid-sentence, as if someone had cast a spell on her.
Then suddenly, she changed her words, her voice trembling as she said,
"Fangxi… I—I was mistaken! What I saw was wrong… Sheyaan didn't do...anything!"
Hearing this, everyone in the hall was stunned. Just moments ago,
Lucy had been spitting venom—how had she suddenly taken Sheyaan's side?
Sheyaan's eyes widened in shock.
She quickly glanced at Zavian's who stood there with a clam demeanor, a faint composed smile playing on his lips.
In the very moment realization struck Sheyaan this was all...Zavian's doing!"
