Chapter 73 - A Kiss and a Witness :

Sheyaan's happiness knew no bounds her heart overflowing with joy the beautiful Moon and countless star.

All created by Zavian. Because of him very trace of fear in her heart faded away completely.

She slowly looked into his eyes, where Zavian was quietly moving closer to her. Seeing this, Sheyaan's eyes widened as she said,

"Yo...you… what are you doing?"

Zavian quickly composed himself and stepped back slightly.

Sheyaan then smiled charmingly and said,

"Wow… your magic is.. truly amazing!"

Zavian stood by the railing with both hands resting on it, his sharp gaze fixed on her.

Sheyaan stood between them, holding the delicate chain in her hand, from which the magical Moon Locket hung. Inside it, their picture was captured.

Sheyaan extended the locket toward Zavian and said innocently,

"This is for you… such a cute and.. beautiful locket. Here, wear it.. quickly!"

Hearing her, Zavian's expression changed. In his usual cold and casual tone, he replied,

"No."

The moment he refused, Sheyaan's bright face fell instantly. She looked at him with surprise and hurt, then asked softly,

"Why are you...refusing? di...did you..not like it?"

Seeing her sad face, Zavian's heart softened for a moment. He stepped closer to her—

so close that she could feel his breath. Looking into her eyes, he said in a deep, husky voice,

"Then you...put it on me yourself."

His closeness made Sheyaan uneasy, and her heart began to beat rapidly…

Sheyaan's heartbeat was completely out of control at that moment. Nervous,

she glanced around, but escaping Zavian's deep gaze was impossible. Stammering softly, she said,

"Ok...okay… I… I'll put it on."

She picked up the beautiful Moon Locket and tried to place it around Zavian's neck.

But a new problem arose—Zavian was quite tall, and she couldn't reach the hook of the locket.

She stood on her toes and tried her best, putting in all her effort, but still couldn't manage it.

Zavian stood silently, watching her innocent struggle with his usual calm face and intense eyes.

There was no expression on his face, yet his eyes were carefully observing her every move.

Finally, Sheyaan grew tired and a little disappointed. Looking up at him with a small pout, she complained softly,

"You're so... tall! At least bend...down a little!"

Hearing Sheyaan's words, a faint smile appeared on Zavian's lips.

He slowly bent down and brought his face right in front of hers. As the distance between them disappeared, Sheyaan's eyes widened in surprise.

In his usual cold tone, Zavian said,

"Is this... better now?"

Seeing him so close, Sheyaan grew extremely nervous. Stammering, she replied,

"ye...yes… yes, it's fine now."

With trembling hands, she started putting the locket around his neck. Once she was done, she let out a deep breath and said in relief,

"It's.. done!"

She thought it was over and that Zavian would step back—but suddenly, everything changed.

Zavian straightened up and unexpectedly took the locket from her hand. Before Sheyaan could understand what was happening, he pulled her closer in one swift motion.

Gently moving her hair aside, he carefully placed the second locket around her neck with his cold hands.

Sheyaan was completely shocked by this sudden action. She touched the locket around her neck

and then looked at Zavian, her heart filled with a storm of emotions. Smiling softly, she said,

"Thank you... for showing me something so... beautiful!"

Zavian held her gaze his eyes deep and unreadable in a low steady voice, he replied,

"Stay happy.. like this.." It's suits you!"

Hearing such sweet words from Zavian, a soft smile appeared on Sheyaan's lips.

For a few seconds, they both looked into each other's eyes with quiet affection.

The cool, calm night breeze in the balcony made the moment even more beautiful.

Sheyaan gently placed her hand on Zavian's shoulder silently asking him to come closer without hesitation.

Zavian landed down his gaze fixed on her for a brief moment time seemed to pause between them then gathering all her courage.

Sheyaan moved closer and placed a soft innocent kiss on his chin

As soon as she did, she quickly stepped back. Her sudden action left Zavian completely surprised.

He looked slightly shocked, raising one eyebrow as if silently asking,

"What was... that?"

Sheyaan, already blushing deeply, immediately turned her face away.

Holding onto the balcony railing, she looked up at the sky, her heart beating fast.

Seeing her like this, Zavian's usually expressionless face formed a faint, charming smile.

Zavian and Sheyaan stood quietly on the balcony for a while, simply feeling that beautiful moment.

After some time, Zavian broke the silence and said softly,

"We should go... inside now. We've been standing here... for quite a while."

Sheyaan nodded gently and replied in a soft voice,

"Hmm."

Both of them walked back inside. Sheyaan opened the balcony door and entered the room,

with Zavian following right behind her. He took a slow, deep breath and thought to himself,

"Good… she's forgotten about that... nightmare."

Just as he was thinking this, Sheyaan turned back, looked at him, and said playfully,

"What are you thinking..., just standing there? Come on!"

Seeing her carefree attitude, Zavian quickly walked over and sat on the bed. Then Sheyaan said softly,

"Okay… I'll be right.. back."

Zavian looked at her with slight confusion and asked,

"Where are you... going?"

Avoiding his gaze, Sheyaan replied quietly,

"I… I just need to... freshen up. I'll be back in a.. minute."

With that, she hurried off and entered the washroom. Zavian stayed on the bed, watching her go before picking up his phone.

As soon as she got inside, Sheyaan locked the door, leaned against it, and took a deep breath. Muttering to herself, she said,

"What… what is happening to me? I… I actually kissed him!"

Thinking about it again, her face turned red with embarrassment once more.

Inside the washroom, Sheyaan had her eyes tightly shut, feeling deeply embarrassed.

After a while, when she finally calmed down a little, she freshened up, changed into her night suit, and stepped outside.

As she dried her wet hair with a towel, her gaze fell on Zavian, who was busy using his phone. She quietly muttered to herself,

"Thank goodness...my clothes were in the washroom… otherwise.. I would've had to come out in...a towel again!"

Sheyaan was still lost in her thoughts when Zavian, getting up from the bed, noticed her. He slowly put his phone into his pocket and said,

"I'll be back in...a moment."

Hearing this, Sheyaan nodded quickly, and Zavian silently walked out of the room.

Sheyaan walked over to the mirror to get ready. Her eyes went to the hairdryer.

As she quickly placed her towel on the nearby chair, a part of it accidentally hit the foundation bottle kept near the mirror.

The very next moment, the bottle fell to the floor with a loud crash and shattered into pieces.

Foundation and sharp glass shards spread all over the floor. Hearing the sound,

Zavian—who was still near the door—immediately turned back and rushed inside.

Looking at the mess, Sheyaan made a worried face and said,

"Oh no! Everything is... scattered!"

Zavian quickly asked in a flat tone,

"What..happened?"

Sheyaan replied nervously,

"th...the bottle broke… and all the foundation spilled... everywhere!"

Zavian looked at the mess, then said in a cold yet concerned voice,

"You're worried about this.... useless stuff? There's broken glass on the floor—stay away... from it!"

Sheyaan immediately stepped back and said,

"I...I'll clean it right... now!"

Saying this, she moved forward to clean it, but her attention wasn't on the glass pieces scattered below.

Right in front of her foot lay a large, sharp shard of glass. Zavian noticed it instantly. Just as Sheyaan was about to step on it...

Zavian didn't waste even a second. Before Sheyaan's foot could land on the sharp piece of glass, he quickly stepped forward and lifted her straight into his arms.

Sheyaan was completely taken aback by the sudden action and said in annoyance,

"wh...what are you..doing?"

Zavian snapped at her, his voice carrying both anger and concern,

"Can't you see? There's a huge piece of glass... right there! If it had cut your foot, then keep.. crying!"

Hearing his sharp yet worried scolding, Sheyaan fell silent. She puffed her cheeks slightly, clearly a bit upset. Zavian looked at her and asked more softly,

"Now why are... you sulking?"

There was a hint of gentleness in his tone now. Sheyaan replied innocently,

"Sorry…"

Seeing her apologetic expression, Zavian calmed down and said,

"Alright, don't make that... face anymore."

He was just about to carry her to the bed when suddenly, a loud clap echoed from the doorway.

Lucy stood there, a sarcastic smile on her face as she said mockingly,

"Well...well..looks like there's some romance going on here.!"

her voice cut through the moment. Zavian and where caught off guard the expression froze in shock as the both turned toward the door at once
