Chapter 17 - Support-Type Quirk: Third Option (Chapter 16.2)

Ding!

Aside from your suppressed Chemical X mutation and Anodite form, you retain the following:

Gambler's Luck (Mystic Grade) → Sub Skill: Lucky Lucky Draw (20% activation)

Healing Spell (Apprentice)

Building Tier (Title) (Ultra Rare) → Sub Skill: Limit Breaker [Selective]

Mana Amplification (Beginner)

Genie in All But Truth (Title) → Sub Skill: All But Truth (Gacha)

Clone Link (Quirk) (User: Hikaru Aoyama | Background: ???)

Incomplete Mana Theory (Beginner): Mana Manipulation (Uncommon)

Affection Meter — Activated

There were two ways to pass the entrance exam.

One was to accumulate over two dozen points.

The other was to achieve a high rescue score.

The first route required strength—enough firepower to take down multiple targets before the timer ran out.

The second was more manageable.

But neither was a guaranteed path.

How could you save others if you couldn't even protect yourself?

That would be suicide.

So what should I pick?

A third option—support, rescue, and attack.

I would form as many small alliances as possible, using my clones to spread out and rescue those in danger while assisting allies under a strict agreement: they help me secure at least one-point targets in return.

I stared at Hikari and her sister.

For that, I needed to make sure they didn't betray me or abandon me halfway through.

I had to make myself invaluable.

"This is my advanced quirk application."

"By duplicating my pinky bone inside my body—"

The moment the light faded from my leg, I lifted my hand, and it began to glow.

"It results in a bizarre mutation, where my body briefly forgets what quirk I have."

I spouted complete nonsense while the clone light did absolutely nothing.

Healing Spell (Apprentice)

Green sparkles formed over my open palm.

The girls stared at me as if I were made of magic after I claimed I could trigger a "secondary quirk awakening."

That was how I secured my first alliance in this race for points.

A few minutes later—

Before the engine even stopped, we were already let off.

I wasted no time telling the girls to get ready after they explained their abilities in exchange for seeing mine.

Now here I was, outside the bus, looping the laces of my skates—though they still felt strange to wear.

These were creations of the original Hikaru Aoyama, built after countless nights of research to overcome his quirk's disadvantages.

I felt a hint of guilt putting them on.

It wasn't like being transmigrated made me inhuman.

I still had my morals.

My empathy.

My beliefs.

That didn't mean I would become a saint—or repent for anything I had done.

I don't regret it.

Not trying to turn my grandparents' home into a BnB.

Not attacking Cash.

Not manipulating Morbucks.

Not tricking two background characters into helping me.

Nor using them as a backup plan in case the bus behind us didn't contain any of the main cast.

I had said I would form as many alliances as possible.

But alliances with the main cast were far more ideal than random extras who might not even be useful.

I turned back toward the other bus.

Female Bakugo stepped out last.

Her expression carried superiority and pride as she looked down on everyone.

Name: Katsumi Bakugo

Affection Level: 0

Katsumi Bakugo…

I smiled.

I wondered how different this variant was from the original—or whether she was just as hot-headed at this point in time.

I looked away and turned back to my group of background characters.

"I didn't think your quirks were just as strange as mine."
