A crisp sound of a lock engaging.
In this enclosed space filled only with the roar of the engine, it sounded particularly jarring.
Qin Yu was holding an alloy wrench in his hand. Hearing the noise, he turned around.
"Why did you lock the door?"
"Ruo Bing, why is your face so red?"
"Was that SSS-grade heart too potent? Did you overdo it?"
Qin Yu looked at Li Ruobing standing by the door.
Her usually spirited and wild pretty face was now flushed like a ripe peach.
Her eyes were hazy, yet carried a fierce intensity that seemed ready to devour someone whole.
It was the gaze of a predator.
Li Ruobing didn't speak.
She leaned back against the cabin door, her chest heaving violently.
The already tight tank top was now soaked with sweat, clinging to her body and outlining breathtaking curves.
"Qin Yu."
She called out.
Her voice was hoarse, as if filled with scorching sand.
"What's wrong?"
Qin Yu frowned, put down the wrench, and casually grabbed a rag to wipe the engine oil from his hands.
"Are you feeling unwell somewhere?"
"If it's a side effect from that meat, I'll go call Yao Xue to—"
Before he could finish.
A fragrant breeze mixed with a strong scent of hormones rushed straight toward him.
Fast.
Too fast.
Just like that Leviathan that had fought back desperately earlier.
Li Ruobing gave Qin Yu no time to react.
Her enhanced, explosive long legs pushed off the ground, and her entire body shot forward like a cannonball, crashing straight into Qin Yu's arms.
Thud!
Qin Yu was forced back two steps by the immense force, his back slamming heavily against the scorching engine casing.
"Damn!"
"Are you cr—"
All sound was abruptly cut off by a pair of hot, moist lips.
No testing.
No foreplay.
And none of the coy back-and-forth from those idol dramas.
This was an ambush.
A long-planned, blatant assault.
Li Ruobing wrapped her arms tightly around Qin Yu's neck, practically hanging off him.
The kiss carried a wild, untamed flavor.
Their teeth clashed together, producing a grating sound.
Her tongue, like a nimble little snake, forcefully pried open Qin Yu's lips, plunging in deep, wantonly claiming every inch of air in his mouth.
It hurt.
And there was the taste of blood.
Was this woman part dog?
She had bitten through Qin Yu's lip.
For a moment, Qin Yu's brain short-circuited.
But immediately after.
The restless fire nourished by the SSS-grade heart was ignited in that instant.
He was a normal man.
A vigorous man who had just survived a life-and-death situation.
Faced with such a delicacy delivered right to him, if he could still remain unmoved, he wouldn't be Qin Yu—he'd be a eunuch.
"Damn."
"Dare to ambush me?"
A low growl rumbled in Qin Yu's throat.
He tossed the rag aside.
His hands clamped onto Li Ruobing's slender, powerful waist.
Counterattack!
He had to counterattack!
As the head of the household, how could he let a woman overpower him?
Qin Yu exerted force, trying to push this madwoman away a bit to regain the initiative.
But the next second, he froze.
He couldn't push her away?
Li Ruobing's legs were like iron clamps, tightly wrapped around his waist.
Her hands gripped his hair, forcing him to tilt his head back and endure her storm-like demands.
This strength…
This explosive power…
Truly worthy of being ranked second in District 9527.
She was even fiercer than a special forces soldier who had taken an enhancement potion!
"Mmph—!"
Qin Yu's eyes turned fierce.
Since you want to play rough, don't blame me for not holding back.
He stopped trying to push her away and instead turned around, pinning Li Ruobing down on the nearby workbench.
Wrenches and screwdrivers clattered to the floor.
Making crisp sounds.
But these sounds were soon drowned out by heavier, ragged breaths.
Their lips parted.
Both of their breathing was utterly chaotic.
They could even see each other's exhaled white mist.
There was no trace of shyness in Li Ruobing's eyes, only the satisfaction of vengeance and an even more intense craving.
She stuck out her tongue, licking the corner of her mouth where Qin Yu's blood remained.
That sight.
Was utterly bewitching.
"Are you a dog?"
Qin Yu gasped for breath, his thumb roughly wiping the blood from his bitten lip, his eyes gleaming dangerously.
"So rough?"
"If you break it, you won't have anything to use later!"
Li Ruobing chuckled.
Her smile carried seventy percent drunkenness and thirty percent provocation.
"Break it?"
"If it breaks, I'll devour you whole!"
"Not even a speck of bone dust left!"
She reached out, grabbed Qin Yu's collar, and pulled him toward her again.
"Just now, Sister Xue said."
"She asked me to help her."
"Said your physique is too monstrous, the two of them can't handle it."
"Asked me to share some of the burden."
Qin Yu raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised.
"Yao Xue?"
"I never expected my first wife to be so considerate."
Li Ruobing's fingers traced circles on Qin Yu's firm chest muscles, then suddenly dug in hard.
Her nails nearly pierced his skin.
"Enough talk!"
"Don't act all innocent when you're clearly enjoying it!"
"I've been holding back for a long time!"
"You're clearly a pervert, yet you pretend to be a gentleman!"
"Today…"
A flash of ruthlessness passed through Li Ruobing's eyes, the determination of a final battle on the battlefield.
"Today, it's either you or me!"
With that.
She launched another assault.
This time.
Even more ferocious than before.
If Yao Xue was like the gentle drizzle of the Jiangnan water towns, subtle and silent, carrying an air of cool elegance.
Even at the peak of passion, she was restrained, controlled.
If Yao Qian was like a delicate flower in a greenhouse, tender and pliant, soft enough to make one's heart ache.
But this Li Ruobing…
She was like a tsunami!
An untamed wild horse!
Li Ruobing growled, wrapping herself around him like an octopus.
This level of combat prowess.
This stamina.
Completely redefined Qin Yu's understanding of women.
He had thought Yao Xue's outwardly cold, inwardly passionate nature was already exceptional.
But he never expected there was a "nuclear-powered" one hidden here!
The temperature in the engine room was rising rapidly.
Not just because of the nuclear energy engine running at full power.
But also because of the two individuals engaged in this primal struggle.
This wasn't intimacy.
This was clearly a wrestling match!
Li Ruobing was utterly ruthless.
She employed every combat skill she had honed in the apocalypse.
Chokeholds.
Armbars.
If it were any ordinary man, his arm would likely have been dislocated by now.
But who was Qin Yu?
He was a man who had awakened a system.
His physical prowess had long surpassed human limits.
Faced with this level of "assault," he not only didn't retreat but instead felt a surge of the desire to conquer.
"Alright."
"Playing tough with me, huh?"
"Let's see how many rounds you can last!"
Qin Yu grabbed Li Ruobing's resilient long leg and lifted her entire body into the air.
"Ah—!"
Li Ruobing gasped in surprise, her body instantly airborne.
But she showed no panic.
Instead, she wrapped her legs around Qin Yu's waist, her eyes challenging.
"Come on then!"
"Who's afraid of who!"
"If I beg for mercy, I'll write my name backwards!"
"Rumble—"
Outside the Engine Room, deep-sea currents slammed against the submarine's hull, emitting dull roars.
Inside the Engine Room.
A war between two apex predators had only just begun.
Parts scattered across the workbench were swept to the floor.
That was the battlefield.
Li Ruobing's combat prowess was indeed terrifying.
She wasn't like Yao Qian, who would whimper and cry out in pain at the slightest touch.
Nor was she like Yao Xue, who, though cooperative, always maintained a certain reserve.
She truly dared to fight with everything she had.
Every ounce of her strength was pushed to the limit.
Sweat trickled down their entangled bodies, dripping onto the cold alloy floor.
Mingling with the scent of machine oil.
It created a savage, primitive kind of beauty.
"Mmm..."
"You... are you an ox?"
"Where do you get all this strength?"
Half an hour later.
Li Ruobing's voice finally carried a hint of tremor.
A sign of exhaustion.
Her once-arrogant spirit had been dampened by half under Qin Yu's relentless onslaught.
But she still stubbornly held on.
Still talking tough.
"Is that all?"
"Is this the strength of the top-ranked player?"
"Didn't you eat?"
Hearing this, Qin Yu was both amused and angered.
"Fine."
"Very well."
"I was going to go easy on you, leave you some breath."
"Since you're so eager to die."
"Then I'll grant your wish today!"
Qin Yu's gaze shifted.
If before it had been a spar.
Now.
It was total war!
He no longer held back.
His steel-forged muscles bulged, each one brimming with explosive power.
Attack and defense instantly reversed.
Li Ruobing finally understood what despair felt like.
What it meant to be the undisputed number one.
This wasn't even a contest on the same level!
"Yu... Yu-ge..."
"I... I was wrong..."
"Really... I can't take it anymore..."
Another twenty minutes passed.
The tough woman who had wanted to "devour" Qin Yu earlier had now completely surrendered.
Her voice was soft as mud.
Trembling with tears.
She was truly defeated.
"Now you call me 'ge'?"
"What happened to all that ferocity from before?"
"Weren't you going to drain me dry?"
Though Qin Yu spoke these words, his movements softened slightly.
He looked down at the woman beneath him, drenched in sweat, her hair plastered to her face.
A profound sense of satisfaction rose within him.
Taming such a wild horse.
Indeed brought far more fulfillment than riding docile, tame ones.
Li Ruobing didn't even have the strength to lift a finger now.
She gasped for breath, her eyes unfocused.
But at the corner of her mouth, there hung a smile of utter satisfaction.
That kind of smile.
Was a comfort that seeped from the very bones.
In this apocalyptic world where death could come at any moment.
To have such an unrestrained indulgence.
Even if she died right now, it would be worth it.
"I... I give up..."
"You're the boss..."
"I... I really give up this time..."
Li Ruobing buried her head in the crook of Qin Yu's neck, nuzzling like a docile kitten.
Gone was the fierce tigress from before.
He looked down at Li Ruobing in his arms, a mischievous glint flashing in his eyes.
"Ruo Bing."
"Did you just say you give up?"
Li Ruobing nodded groggily.
"I give up... really..."
"I'm about to fall apart..."
Qin Yu reached out and gave her pert bottom a light slap.
"That won't do."
"The battle has only just begun."
"We need to strike while the iron is hot."
Li Ruobing's eyes snapped open, looking at Qin Yu in horror.
"You... you're not human!"
"You're a beast!"
"Help—! Sister Xue, save me—!"
Her cries for help.
Were soon swallowed by a new storm.
...
An hour later.
The Engine Room finally fell silent.
Leaving only the steady, rhythmic hum of the Engine.
A thick blanket was spread on the floor.
Qin Yu had brought it from the lounge earlier.
Li Ruobing lay limply on the blanket like a boneless salted fish, covered by Qin Yu's jacket.
She didn't want to move a single finger now.
Couldn't even be bothered to lift an eyelid.
It was terrifying.
This man's stamina was like a bottomless pit.
He was a monster with cheats enabled!
Qin Yu leaned against the Engine, a post-coital cigarette dangling from his lips.
Amidst the swirling smoke.
He looked at his hands, which, though a bit sore, were still full of strength.
Feeling quite pleased.
"Hey."
Qin Yu poked Li Ruobing's exposed shoulder.
"Still alive?"
"No... dead..."
Li Ruobing mumbled in reply, her voice hoarse beyond recognition.
She pushed herself up, slowly crawling to Qin Yu's side.
Resting her head on his shoulder.
She gritted her teeth, a stubborn glint of defiance flashing in her eyes.
"Next time."
"Next time when I'm rested."
"I'm definitely going to win against you once!"
Qin Yu stubbed out the cigarette and pulled her smooth shoulder close.
A domineering curve lifted the corner of his mouth.
"Sure."
"Anytime."
"But remember to call Yao Xue next time."
"Otherwise, I'm afraid you alone..."
"Might really die in bed."
"Get lost—!"
Li Ruobing punched Qin Yu's chest.
Though cursing with her mouth.
Her hand tightly gripped Qin Yu's arm.
Unwilling to let go.
Outside the door.
Yao Xue, who had been standing in the shadows of the corridor.
Listening as the commotion inside finally subsided.
A helpless yet relieved smile appeared on her cool face.
She adjusted her glasses.
And turned to leave.
"These two lunatics..."
"Looks like the ship's soundproofing needs an upgrade."
