Chapter 156 - Chapter 156: The Mermaid's Dance

Lavinia Reni.jpg

Due to the suppression of terrorists, most members of the Alliance were busy, leaving the swimming pool empty and deserted.

At the same time, because the swimming pool utilized space expansion technology, the area might look small, but it was actually divided into many separate pools.

And this happened to be the place Lavinia frequented.

Lavinia Reni, a blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty, and the wielder of the Sacred Gear 'Absolute Demise'.

She possessed the ability to instantly freeze all the Shinigamis of the Underworld.

It was hard to say who was stronger between her and Serafall, but her strength was undoubtedly among the very top tier.

Setting aside her strength for a moment, her beauty was the real highlight.

With her outstanding looks, a slightly dazed personality, and a strong sense of maternal love, she was like a beautiful, youthful 'wife' character from an anime—slightly playful.

Though, the current Lavinia couldn't be called a 'wife' just yet.

But that's fine; she would be soon enough.

"Is this an invitation?"

Rias blinked and asked.

Rias and Lavinia were on good terms. Everyone in this world has their own difficulties, and Lavinia was no exception.

In particular, Sacred Gear users are always being forced into various incidents.

Rias had been a bit helpful and had assisted her with a small favor.

"Yes."

Lavinia looked at Rias somewhat strangely, her confused expression saying: Why are you asking again?

"Oh, that innocent expression is really hard to resist."

Rias chuckled, and with a flash of red light, she changed into a swimsuit.

She leaped down lightly, her elegant posture making Lavinia exclaim in admiration, "What a wonderful sight."

"You're the same, you know."

Rias swam over and smiled, "Want to race?"

"Sure."

Lavinia gave a pure smile, and then the two of them went to the edge of the pool.

"Three, two, one!"

As the words fell, the two of them began swimming in perfect sync.

They didn't use magic, only pure technique. Elegance and beauty coexisted, as if two mermaids were competing.

The one in the lead was Lavinia; Rias rarely played in the water like this, so she was half a step slower at the start.

But she quickly caught up. An omnipotent person is omnipotent in everything they do.

The power of her muscles and her affinity for water made her like a real fish.

Evidently, Rias emerged victorious.

"As expected of Lady Rias, you're very impressive."

Lavinia sighed in genuine admiration.

Rias smiled without replying. The two played to their hearts' content before sinking into the water.

Initially, Lavinia didn't notice anything wrong until her lips were kissed underwater.

Lavinia was a bit dazed, and only then did she think back to Rias's opening words and some of the rumors within the Alliance.

However, being with a woman like Lady Rias... it didn't seem like she was losing out on anything.

Lavinia thought, having no intention of resisting at all.

A barrier had appeared around the swimming pool at some unknown time, and a sign saying 'Cleaning in progress, please do not enter' was hung outside.

The swimsuits they were wearing fell off as soon as the straps were untied.

Like mermaids dancing together, the two kissed passionately in the water, drifting continuously through the pool.

Until Lavinia felt her breathing become slightly difficult, and then she felt the omnipotent magic coming from Rias.

Lavinia was ultimately human, but Rias's omnipotent magic could directly substitute for her body's physical needs.

In fact, there were many spells that could achieve this, but Lavinia was simply too lost in the moment and forgot to cast one.

In the warm current of the water, it felt as if something was flowing into her heart.

For two hours, they remained immersed. Lavinia had been indulged for so long that her consciousness became a bit blurred, and she mistakenly felt that the surrounding water had become a bit turbid.

Only then did the two of them surface, embracing each other.

Lavinia leaned limply against Rias, nuzzling into Rias's full bosom like a lazy Persian cat, then gave her a light kiss on the neck before lazily and peacefully squinting her eyes, enjoying the afterglow.

"Any post-event thoughts, 'wife'~?"

After enjoying the peaceful atmosphere for a while, Rias teased with a light laugh.

"I'm not a wife... well, I guess not?"

Lavinia said, hesitating for a moment.

"Why not?"

Rias raised an eyebrow and asked.

"At least, we're not married yet, are we?"

Lavinia rubbed her cheek against Rias's chest and said.

"Then in a couple of years after I come of age, shall we hold a wedding?"

Rias smiled.

"What about the other girls?"

"All together, of course," Rias said as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"Ugh..."

Lavinia wanted to complain, but she didn't know which point to complain about first.

But a wedding... that seemed quite nice, didn't it?

Lavinia thought about it and couldn't help but feel a bit expectant.

The Alliance was large, but for a powerhouse like her, finding a partner she liked wasn't easy.

After all, every strong person is self-centered. Unless it's a relationship forged step-by-step through crisis, future matters are truly hard to consider.

Now it was fine; she had been arranged for directly.

Forget it, it's not a big deal, and it was quite comfortable... "By the way, how many lovers does Lady Rias actually have?"

Lavinia asked curiously.

"Why do you ask?"

"Because Lady Rias is simply too skilled," Lavinia said with a slight frown. "Calling it skilled is an understatement; it's more like you're too proficient. I had no ability to resist at all. I was so dizzy I thought I had reached the afterlife."

"An omnipotent person is omnipotent in everything they do~"

Rias laughed.

"Ugh, don't use those words to brush me off."

Lavinia grumbled, then started to feel a bit drowsy.

Although she hadn't exerted much physical effort, it was a terrorist attack after all.

To avoid hurting her own people while freezing all the enemies, she had spent a lot of mental energy.

She had originally intended to relax in the swimming pool, but she had relaxed so much that she was now a bit sleepy.

With a yawn, Lavinia fell peacefully asleep.

Within seconds, Rias heard Lavinia's steady breathing.

"She really is at peace."

Rias smiled and puffed out her chest, "But then again, I really do give off a sense of security."

Floating on the water, Rias held Lavinia tightly and slowly closed her eyes as well.

She had a date in the evening, so she would take a nap for now~

Thinking this, Rias also fell asleep.

Until a few hours later, her biological clock prompted her to wake up naturally. Lavinia was also awake by then, playing with her own damp hair.

"Good evening, Lady Rias."

Noticing that Rias had woken up, Lavinia gave a light smile and said, "Would you like to have lunch together?"

"I'd be delighted~"

Rias smiled, used magic to clean herself and change the pool water, then the two of them changed their clothes and walked toward the dining hall together.
