The women whispered among themselves. The younger ones looked at Lina with curiosity, while the older women regarded her with obvious disdain. Judging by their expressions and moving lips, they were probably calling her indecent. The men, meanwhile, stared openly. Many let their eyes linger on Lina's curvaceous waist and hips, and several young noblemen watched her with undisguised interest. Lina could easily guess what they were thinking. After all, what else would men discuss when confronted with such a sight?
At least no one dared to criticize her attire openly, which was enough to satisfy Lina. Ignoring the curious stares and quiet comments, she walked gracefully toward her carriage, nodding to the ministers who bowed to greet her.
"Sorry to have kept everyone waiting. It's getting late, so let us depart."
