The man seemed completely unaware of her deception. He pulled a chair closer and sat down, his expression relaxed as he looked at her.
"No. Everything is proceeding according to plan. Once the coronation is complete, we can move on to the next step."
Lina nearly lost control of her expression.
What plan? What next step?
She stared at him, desperately trying to process what he had just said. Could the original Chloe have been involved in some elaborate conspiracy? Was she secretly the mastermind behind everything that had happened, including her brothers' deaths? Had Lina somehow inherited not only a throne but also a network of secret schemes that she knew absolutely nothing about?
The possibilities were enough to give her a headache. Unfortunately, she couldn't simply ask him to explain what he meant without risking exposure. She had to pretend she understood, even though her mind was already in chaos.
