Chapter 65 - Chapter 65: What? Only Equals Can Be Offended!

The dark moonlight shrouded the earth, and threads of white frost-like mist permeated the surroundings of an abandoned farm.

Seen from the outside, the abandoned farm was pitch black without a trace of light, giving a feeling of nothing but gloom and fear.

But inside the farm, there was a makeshift bar counter, a few worn-out sofas and chairs. Dynamic music played softly. Some sat on sofas drinking, some stood on tables dancing. Male and female vampires were enjoying their degenerate time.

Or perhaps one should say... their final time!

Bang!

A loud noise suddenly came from the locked wooden door of the farm. The vampire standing at the door turned his head subconsciously upon hearing the sound, only to see the wooden door whistling as it smashed toward him. Caught off guard, the vampire flew in along with the wooden door, then smashed heavily onto the ground with a loud clang.

The unlucky vampire was pinned under the wooden door.

The vampires who were originally enjoying themselves wantonly were startled by this sudden change. With several swish swish swish sounds, they instantly put down the things at hand and gathered together, looking toward the door where the moonlight shone in.

A figure carrying a giant sword slowly walked in from the door.

"Hi, good evening everyone." Shane carried the sword with one hand, looked around, and then raised his other hand to greet the gathered vampires with a smile.

"Human?" A vampire sniffed with his nose.

"Are you blind? How can a human have those eyes?"

"What if it's cataracts?"

"Should be a hunter. An ordinary human wouldn't dare run to our territory so late at night."

"His sword is so big and cool. I like it. This sword is mine; don't fight me for it."

"Shut up."

A female vampire standing in the quasi-center position (C-position), wearing a black jacket, shouted coldly. The other vampires instantly quieted down. She turned her head and smiled beautifully at the man beside her in the center position: "This is a gift delivered to our door. The spoils naturally belong to our leader, Luther."

Having said that, she turned her head to look at Shane. "Kid, looking at you, you just became a hunter, right? Being a hunter isn't done like this. Dare to swagger into our vampire territory holding a big sword? Do you not know the height of the sky and the depth of the earth, or do you not know how to write the word 'death'?"

"Looking at your tender skin and flesh, I really want to taste if your foreign blood is any different. But this old lady is in a good mood today. As long as you offer your sword to our leader, I won't kill you today."

Not killing today doesn't mean not killing tomorrow. Vampires understand!

"So arrogant?"

Shane smiled and lowered the Executioner's Blade from his shoulder. Looking at the female vampire, he said, "The sword is impossible to give you. If you want it, come and take it yourself!"

"Looking for death? I'll fulfill your wish."

The vampire pinned under the wooden door suddenly shouted explosively, flipped the wooden door away, and rushed straight to Shane with ghost-like speed, revealing his fangs and opening his mouth to bite Shane's neck.

Splurt!

Blood splattered.

The vampire's expression froze, feeling the sky spinning and the earth turning.

Did he see Shane fly up? No, it wasn't Shane flying up, but himself falling down. To be precise... it was his head falling down.

Thud.

The head crashed to the ground. The headless corpse fell backward onto the ground.

Silence!

Deathly silence!

The vampires who were originally arrogantly waiting to watch the fun seemed to have their throats choked, unable to make any sound. Their eyes widened, staring somewhat sluggishly at their companion whose head was separated from his body and... Shane wielding the big sword with one hand.

"My sword... do you still want it?" Shane narrowed his eyes at the recovered vampires, watching them bare their teeth one by one, revealing vampire fangs completely different from Anna's. The corners of his mouth rose slightly.

"Kill him!"

The female vampire roared hysterically. The vampires around her instantly swarmed up.

Shane held the Executioner's Blade with both hands and actively met the pouncing vampires without using any ninjutsu.

One slash, one kill. Like cutting melons and chopping vegetables.

Heads of vampires revealing fangs flew into the air one by one. An indescribable unpleasant smell began to permeate the air.

After a few ups and downs of the Executioner's Blade, vampires were already lying all over the ground. Shane pointed the sword horizontally, looking at the male and female vampire leaders whose faces were incredibly ugly and expressions incredibly solemn.

They were also the leaders of this group of vampires!

"You, what's your name?" Shane looked at the female vampire.

"Kate."

"Kate, could you trouble yourself to stand aside first?" Shane smiled suggestively. "It would be even better if you could help collect the vampire heads on the ground."

"What do you want! We shouldn't have offended you!" Kate said in a deep voice.

Shane shook his head with a smile. "Saying that is meaningless. What is 'offended'? Only those with equal strength can be called 'offended.' Ordinary people would have been killed by you long ago. Did the ordinary people whose blood you sucked and whom you killed offend you? Winners become kings, losers become bandits. Whether dying generously or kneeling to beg for mercy is very normal. Reasoning? It's really meaningless."

"Didn't you say you were in a good mood and would spare my life today? I'll give you a chance too. I have a companion with no experience. You can't kill her. Ten minutes. If she doesn't kill you, you can leave this farm alive today, leave this town alive!"
