Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: If a Sneak Attack Succeeds, I'll Gouge Out My Own Eyes!

"You don't need to bare your teeth at me with such hostility. I just want to confirm your identity, say hello, and get to know you. I have no malice or other intentions toward you. But if you keep looking at me like that, I'll think you want to go a few rounds with me!"

Shane held the Sealing Tag between his fingers, warning Hypatia: "Sealing Tags are precious. Honestly, I don't want to waste one on you. My target is the possessed co-pilot inside."

Hypatia retracted her gaze and took a slight step back. "Making a move here... aren't you afraid of being discovered?"

Although this world was full of various supernatural creatures, mainstream society didn't believe in their existence. Once discovered on a large scale, it would indeed be troublesome.

Shane turned to look at the cabin. Most passengers were busy with their own things. Only Olivia, Anna, and the Winchester brothers looked over nervously and inquiringly.

Smiling slightly, Shane flipped his wrist, and the Sealing Tag disappeared.

Hypatia breathed a sigh of relief. As long as the opponent had scruples, she felt a bit more confident.

"Temple of Nirvana Technique!" (Nehan Shōja no Jutsu)

Shane formed seals and shouted in a low voice.

In an instant, pure white feathers drifted eerily throughout the cabin. Passengers looked at the feathers in surprise, looking left and right to find where they came from. Unfortunately, before they could find the source, they closed their eyes one by one, and snoring sounds rang out.

In the entire cabin, besides Shane and Hypatia, only Olivia and the others didn't fall asleep.

Sam looked at the sleeping passengers around him and whispered, "He did that? That ninjutsu?"

"Should be."

Dean nodded, stood up, signaled to Olivia and Anna, and walked toward Shane.

The Winchester brothers were the first to experience the Temple of Nirvana Technique.

Shane looked at Hypatia. "Now you don't have to worry about being discovered."

Hypatia's face was incredibly ugly. As the source and creator of Dark Magic, she found she couldn't understand what method the opponent used at all. It wasn't witchcraft, it wasn't magic. She didn't even sense any fluctuation of known energy. Yet almost all the passengers in the cabin fell asleep instantly.

The opponent's methods were unpredictable, he knew her identity, and he had helpers. This made Hypatia hesitate. Finally, she raised both hands, her tone softening: "Whatever you want to do, I'll cooperate."

Hypatia submitted.

Shane reached into his pocket and took out his phone under Hypatia's nervous gaze. "How about exchanging numbers?"

Hypatia: "..."

"You put everyone to sleep just to get a flight attendant's number?" Dean came over, somewhat speechless.

Shane exchanged numbers with Hypatia as if nothing happened. "We can grab a drink and chat slowly after landing if you have time. Of course, it doesn't matter if you don't have time or aren't interested."

Hypatia remained silent.

Dean couldn't help urging, "Have you confirmed the target?"

Shane nodded. "I'll try first. If my method doesn't work, you guys go. You should have the solution ready, right?"

Dean patted his chest. "Holy water and the incantation are ready. As long as you can control it like you controlled Sam, we're confident we can send him to hell."

"OK."

Shane nodded and turned to look at the cockpit door.

Knock knock knock!

Shane knocked lightly on the door and turned to look at Hypatia.

Hypatia spoke up: "Hi, this is flight attendant Hypatia. I have some issues here. Can the co-pilot come out and help me handle them?"

"Okay."

A voice came from inside.

Through the cockpit door, Shane saw the co-pilot greet the captain and stand up to walk to the door.

The door opened. The co-pilot looked at the strange man wearing sunglasses at the door with an expression of doubt and surprise. "You are..."

Before he could finish, a dagger suddenly appeared in the co-pilot's other hand, stabbing toward Shane's heart without warning.

Splurt!

The dagger pierced the heart. The co-pilot's eyes instantly turned pitch black, his face revealing a cunning and evil look.

"Shane!"

It happened so suddenly. No one expected the co-pilot—or rather, the demon—to attack Shane directly without even saying hello or pretending at all.

No, not everyone didn't expect it!

Shane, stabbed in the heart, showed no expression of pain. Instead, he raised his hand and took off his sunglasses. "Sneak attack? These Byakugan of mine are the strongest eyes of insight. If your sneak attack succeeded, I might as well gouge out my own eyes."

Rustle rustle...

Shane's body was like a paper figure made of piled sheets of paper. Under the dumbfounded expression of the "paper figure" (demon), he turned into flying paper and reappeared beside him. Immediately after, a Sealing Tag was slapped onto the possessed co-pilot.

Bang!

The seal of the Sealing Tag opened instantly. Countless runes spread from the Sealing Tag across the co-pilot's body. Dense black seal marks covered the co-pilot's entire body like a spider web. The demon's pitch-black eyes revealed a look of horror. He tried to control the co-pilot's body to tilt its head back and open its mouth, wanting to leave this body. But the body that should have been free to enter and exit now generated an extremely special force, like an invisible cage locking him firmly inside.

Thud.

The pitch-black eyes disappeared. The co-pilot seemed to have lost his soul, kneeling on the ground with bent legs, his head drooping straight down, no longer reacting at all.

Seal, success!
