Chapter 50 - Chapter 50: Amanda's Identity?

Motel, parking lot.

The drunkard walked toward his car with a blank expression, rubbing his shoulder. He cursed and complained about his bad luck as he walked. His face, neck, and shoulder were all aching faintly, and he had even lost his teeth.

Was he really that drunk? He actually remembered nothing.

"Hi, can I catch a ride?"

Just as the drunkard got into the car, a girl with short blonde hair, wearing jeans and a brown jacket, suddenly appeared by the car window. He sized her up a few times, raised his eyebrows, and said, "Of course. Hop in, beautiful."

"Thanks."

The short-haired beauty smiled charmingly and went around to the other side to sit in the passenger seat.

The drunkard started the car and asked with an itch in his heart, "It's not safe to be out alone so late. Want to go to my place for a few drinks?"

"Don't bother. How about the woods over there?"

"Sure."

The drunkard turned the steering wheel and drove directly into the woods. After parking, the drunkard couldn't wait to turn his head, but suddenly felt a chill on his neck. The originally smiling beauty revealed a cold sneer.

"Being out alone so late... indeed isn't safe."

Blood sprayed from the drunkard's neck. The short-haired beauty took out a metal basin from somewhere and caught his blood.

...

Ring ring ring... Ring ring ring...

Shane raised his hand to block the sunlight shining through the gap in the curtains, squinted to find his phone, and answered.

"It's Dean. There's a new development with the plane demon. Want to join?"

Shane composed himself. "Are you still at the motel?"

"Sam and I are on our way back to the motel."

"Find a decent restaurant and send me the address. My treat. We'll talk while we eat."

Shane hung up, got up, dressed, and went out to notify Olivia and Anna.

Half an hour later, the three checked out and left, heading to the restaurant in the text message Dean sent.

The reason for the half-hour delay was that Olivia and Anna needed to shower. This was one of the local habits Shane wasn't quite used to. Normally, people showered before bed at night, but locals were accustomed to showering in the morning after waking up.

Maybe because of body odor?

Olivia and Anna didn't have any smell on them. Even if they did, it was the scent of various high-end perfumes.

Arriving at the restaurant and finding the Winchester brothers, Shane called the waiter to order and casually played the "Number Spending Game." This time he changed the trick again. The number the waiter said was 2. The tip wasn't two hundred dollars, nor was it twice the meal cost, but the total tips the waiter had received so far today multiplied by 2.

The waiter asked repeatedly in disbelief, thanking Shane excitedly again and again. The service during the meal was incredibly enthusiastic.

The other waiters were envious and jealous, while the Winchester brothers were completely bewildered.

"Are you interested in her?"

"No."

"Then why give so much tip?"

"Why not?"

Shane chuckled lightly. "I got her gratitude and more attentive service. She got a handsome tip and a happy mood. We both gained something. What's the problem?"

Sounds like there's no problem indeed... NOT!

Almost four hundred dollars in tips, just for a few words of thanks and service that should have been there anyway? You're asking me what the problem is? The problem is huge! No normal person would do something like this, okay? Four hundred dollars—enough to buy dozens of cases of beer! Doesn't that smell good?

Sour. So sour. (Jealousy).

Dean lowered his head and ate viciously, turning envy into appetite.

This morning, Dean received a call from Jerry at British Airways. The captain who survived the last air crash had an accident while piloting a small plane. Another air crash. Again, 40 minutes after takeoff.

Forty is a biblical numerology number. Noah's Ark, forty days of rain. It's a number signifying death.

The Winchester brothers inspected the plane from the captain's crash. It also had sulfur residue, indicating it was still the demon's doing. Combined with the recording from the previous flight, they believed the demon was targeting the flight's survivors. As long as a survivor boarded a plane, they would be killed.

They contacted other survivors through the list and confirmed they had no plans to fly in the short term. Only one person, flight attendant Amanda Walker, had a flight plan. She was flying out of Indianapolis at 8 PM tonight.

"I left her three voicemails. Her phone must be off," Sam said. "So we want to go find her, see if we can stop her."

"We can definitely do it."

Dean guaranteed solemnly, then looked at Shane. "Are you guys coming?"

Shane nodded affirmatively. "Of course."

He specifically came to Pennsylvania not just to find the Winchester brothers, but to see a demon, and to find a person—a familiar face. That person was the flight attendant, Amanda Walker.

Speaking of which, this Amanda Walker was somewhat related to Olivia.

Through Olivia, Shane already knew that different characters played by the same actor wouldn't overlap. Like Olivia (Arielle Kebbel) and Lexi (The Vampire Diaries), one was a hitwoman in Midnight, Texas, the other a vampire in TVD. Although Shane hadn't met Lexi yet, nine times out of ten she likely existed.

Amanda Walker was just a supporting character in this Supernatural episode, an ordinary flight attendant. But in Midnight, Texas, there was also a character who looked exactly like Amanda Walker (Jamie Ray Newman). So Shane said it was a familiar face, and somewhat related to Olivia.

As for whether this Amanda Walker was an ordinary person or an alias used by that person, he would only know after meeting her.
