Shane pointed at his eyes with exaggerated disdain.
Under the Shadow Possession Jutsu's control, Sam mimicked the gesture, pointing at his own eyes.
Dean reflexively looked at Sam, then back at Shane, finally noticing that Shane's eyes were indeed normal.
If someone were possessed by a demon, their eyes would turn black or another color. For example, the yellow-eyed demon who killed Mom and Sam's girlfriend—his eyes were yellow.
He'd been too hasty.
Though a demon hiding inside a human host kept the eyes normal, once the demon took control of the body, the eyes would change.
This guy said he used a superpower to control Sam. If it were demonic, the eyes should have changed...
"If my eyes looked like this, then you'd have a reason to suspect I'm a demon."
Shane's voice cut through Dean's thoughts.
"Wh... white eyes?!"
Dean, who'd just been second-guessing himself, watched as Shane's normal eyes suddenly turned pale white-blue, veins bulging grotesquely around them. His jaw dropped in shock.
He knew about black-eyed demons—the most common, lowest-tier demons. Above them were red-eyed demons, mostly crossroads demons. Then yellow-eyes—the bastard who killed Mom and Jessica—incredibly powerful. But white eyes? He'd never heard of that.
Wait, you said you weren't a demon!
"Surprised? Unexpected?" Shane grinned smugly at the tense Dean, almost asking if he was moved, but Dean probably wouldn't get the reference.
"Relax. Don't be so nervous. These aren't demon eyes. This is the Byakugan, one of the bloodline limits. Part of my money powers. Demons mostly have black or red eyes, with a few rare yellow-eyes. As for white eyes, only one person has those."
"Lilith!"
"You'll meet her eventually."
As Shane spoke, he adjusted to the Byakugan's visual mode. Both the 360-degree field of vision and the X-ray vision filled him with wonder.
"A demon's white eyes just means white-colored eyes. But my Byakugan is a name—a bloodline limit, one of the three great dojutsu."
Shane deactivated the Byakugan. After a moment's thought, he released the Shadow Possession Jutsu as well.
The shadow that had been connected to Sam's retreated to Shane's feet.
Sam hesitantly wiped the beer from his face. Confirming he was free, he moved to Dean's side.
The brothers didn't act rashly. Instead, they looked at Shane with some surprise, puzzled by what he was doing.
"Forced melons aren't sweet. Making friends requires fate. If we're meant to be friends, we'll have opportunities later. Let's just call today a greeting. Also, I'll give you two pieces of information as compensation for scaring you."
"Your father isn't in immediate danger, but you'd better find him quickly. The yellow-eyed demon will come for you soon. Sam, your girlfriend might not be beyond resurrection, but it'll require a certain amount of her DNA. You should prepare it in advance."
After he finished speaking, Shane suddenly heard a ding—the sound of mission completion.
The mission had been to help Sam overcome the grief and guilt from his girlfriend's death. In the original series, Sam had quickly pulled himself together and hit the road with Dean after Jessica died. Now, after this "misunderstanding" and with the possibility of resurrecting his girlfriend, Shane had given Sam hope for redemption and making amends, naturally helping him emerge from his grief and guilt.
After all, the mission wasn't to completely resolve his emotional turmoil or actually resurrect his girlfriend—just giving him hope to pull himself together was enough.

Shane waved with a smile at the stunned Winchester brothers and turned to leave.
"Wait, you're just leaving? You haven't even said who you are! How do you know Dad's okay? How do you know the yellow-eyed demon is coming? And... how do I resurrect my girlfriend..." Seeing Shane about to leave, Sam shouted urgently, trying to catch up.
White feathers swayed in the breeze, slowly falling through the dim night sky. Sam saw the descending white feathers and froze. Then, with a thud, he collapsed straight to the ground.
Dean, a step behind, was startled. He stopped to check on Sam, and then he too saw the falling white feathers. Moments later, he collapsed beside Sam, also falling into slumber.
"Shadow Possession Jutsu worked well, and Temple of Nirvana Technique isn't bad either. Unfortunately, my chakra's too limited, so the jutsu's effects aren't as strong. The Winchester brothers shouldn't sleep for too long." Shane turned to glance at the sleeping brothers. These two were essentially fate's chosen ones—sleeping here shouldn't put them in any danger.
Dean Winchester, the eldest, was the vessel chosen by the archangel Michael. Sam Winchester, the younger brother, had been fed demon blood since childhood and was later chosen as Lucifer's vessel. As for the Winchester number three they didn't even know about yet—their half-brother from Dad's other relationship—heh, he didn't last long after his introduction.
Though Shane planned to befriend the Winchester brothers—and of course, if he could conveniently look after a few more women along the way, even better—as the daddy of the Naruto Tycoon System, being too proactive about making friends would be beneath him. So, if fate willed it, they'd become friends naturally.
After all, when you have money, everyone's your friend.
