Kylo let out a long, deep sigh and rubbed the space between his furrowed brows.
They had just returned from the apartment they had forcibly entered.
Kylo sat down on the long sofa and leaned back, exhausted. When he raised his head, he could only stare at the child, whose face was full of wonder, sitting on the other sofa. She was probably unfamiliar with the place he had brought her to.
The child looked at him and smiled. Kylo didn't understand it, but something seemed to tickle in his chest because of that smile.
"So, what are we gonna do with THIS?" Clark said, pointing at the child.
Kylo didn't answer immediately because even he was wondering why he had brought this child to his house. He thought of reasons he could give, but he was sure his companions wouldn't believe them.
He's so frustrated he could die. Truthfully, he could have just left the child there, since he wasn't related to her.
But look! He brought her with them! And now he's losing his mind! He doesn't know what to do.
"Don't blame us, Boss, you're the one who brought her, not us," Klien added, chiming in.
Kylo glared at him, annoyed.
"Just saying..."
"Should we take this child to some orphanage or leave her in front of the Church?" Kylo asked, hoping that someone might agree with him—but his companions ignored him as if they hadn't heard anything.
Look at them, just look at them ignoring their Boss!
"Why not adopt her, Boss?" one of his other men, Clark, said jokingly.
"Good idea! Why not adopt her, Clark?" Kylo replied sarcastically.
Clark grimaced and just avoided looking at his Boss, sitting down next to the child.
"Hello~ Hi baby... What's your name, princess?~" Clark said to the child.
Kylo felt like his stomach was turning inside out when he saw how Clark was talking to the child. He didn't know Clark had this talent before.
"Pffftttt...!" Klien couldn't help but laugh at what they were witnessing. Can you imagine that a cocky b*stard like Clark would talk like a mom to the child?
"Nuu!" the child answered Clark.
"Oh, you don't know your name?" Clark asked.
"Nom!"
"You're hungry? You want to eat?" Clark asked the child.
Nod-nod!
Their mouths almost fell open, insects could have flown in.
Seriously, he understood that? What kind of language is that?
"Hey, kid! Who's child are you?" Kylo asked the child, annoyed.
He really couldn't stop himself from getting angry whenever he remembered that Brandon. After befriending him and borrowing money, he suddenly disappeared.
"Boss! Don't shout at her, do you know what kind of crisis will happen if you make a child cry?" Clark scolded.
Wow, he's really into it.
"Ahem!... So, who's child are you?" He asked again.
The child didn't answer and just stared at him.
What could he expect? Maybe she didn't even understand him.
"Dada?"
Kylo quickly raised his head when the child suddenly answered.
"Dada?" he repeated, surprised at what the child said.
"Dada."
"Dada...?" Kylo echoed.
"Dada! Hehehe!"
Kylo could only hold his forehead and rub it; he was speechless.
What were they doing here, talking to an innocent child?
Clark was surprised when the child suddenly got off the sofa and ran towards Kylo.
She was standing in front of Kylo now, holding onto both of his thighs with her hands and looking up at him.
"Dada!" the child said happily to Kylo, smiling brightly.
"Wh-What is this? What is she doing?" Kylo asked, confused, and looked at Clark and Klien.
"Boss... I think she called you Dad," Clark said.
"Huh?" he reacted in surprise and looked back at the child, who was still smiling.
— MOMENTS LATER—
(BATHROOM)
F*CK, Kylo thought to himself, soaking wet from head to toe.
"Dada?" said the child, who was currently inside the bathtub.
What were they doing?
Let's just say that Kylo Lucian was taking his first steps as a parent, something that had never crossed his mind as even remotely possible in his entire life.
—3 Hours Earlier—
"Huh?" was Kylo's only reaction to what Clark said.
Him? A father? THE H*LL?
He didn't even have plans to get married, and now he'd have a child?
No way in fcking hll, he'd rather get stabbed than have that happen.
sniff, sniff!
His nose twitched as he smelled something.
"F*ck! What is that smell?!" he complained, smelling the child's head in front of him.
"You smell like a pig!" he added.
The child in front of him stopped.
"What?" he asked when the child stopped and just looked at him.
After a moment, the child's pout deepened, and her nose turned red.
"Whaaaaaahhhhhh!!!"
They all covered their ears as the child cried loudly because of what Kylo said.
"Boss!!! This is the crisis I'm talking about!!" Clark said.
"F*ck! My ears are gonna bleed! Shit," Klien complained.
Kylo couldn't say anything because he felt that he was the one to blame for this.
-back to present -
And this was the result. He brought the child to the bathroom to bathe her because he really couldn't stand her smell.
After he filled the tub with water, the child willingly got in. The problem was that he couldn't bathe her properly because she kept moving around and splashing water, so now he needed a bath too.
"Dada!~" the child shouted happily and was very happy playing with the water.
Why is this child calling her Dad? Did she mistook him for his Dad Brandon?
Kylo thought and remembered Brandon's face.
"Mistook my foot! We look nothing alike," he whispered to himself.
"Boss! Are you not done yet?" Clark called out.
He knew they were doing this on purpose. Once he got out of the bathroom, he would teach those bastards some manners.
"Do your best, boss!" Klien shouted from the living room.
"Tch! Just wait, you ungrateful B*stards," he muttered, annoyed.
"Dada!"
"I'M NOT YOUR DAD!!!!!!!!!!" Kylo shouted.
"Dada!!!"
"Argh!" Kylo groaned in frustration."
