Chapter 123 - Chapter 123 Nine Months Later

Nine months later, in the Infinity Castle, Allen had acquired all the abilities he wanted, and it was almost time for him to return to the One-Punch Man world.

But before that, he had to go to the Neon Emperor to "borrow" some money. After all, he had helped them deal with the Demon King Muzan and the Upper Rank Demons, so asking for some compensation was perfectly reasonable.

"Today's training ends here." Allen's voice echoed through the empty Infinity Castle: "Your performance was barely satisfactory."

Muzan's forehead was pressed to the ground, his skin covered in bruises and scars. Hearing Allen's words, he breathed a sigh of relief as if granted a great pardon, yet he dared not relax in the slightest.

"Thank you for your mercy, Honored Ancestor," Muzan's voice was hoarse and unrecognizable.

"You may all withdraw. In a few days, I will take you to a brand new world."

Muzan and the Upper Rank Demons exchanged glances, their eyes filled with both fear and a hint of anticipation. A brand new world? What exactly was the Honored Ancestor planning?

Allen ignored their confusion. After sending the demons out of the Infinity Castle, he wasn't afraid of Muzan and the others escaping, because he had already fed his own blood to them. Muzan and the others' lives were all in Allen's hands.

"Honored Ancestor..." Muzan hesitated to speak, but dared not ask further.

Allen stopped, saying without turning his head, "When you go to the new world, behave yourselves. Don't cause me any trouble. If anyone causes trouble, they know what their fate will be."

His voice suddenly turned cold, and the temperature of the surrounding air seemed to drop by several degrees.

"I wouldn't dare! Absolutely not!" Muzan immediately prostrated himself, his forehead pressed to the ground. The other Upper Rank Demons also followed suit, not even daring to breathe loudly.

Allen nodded with satisfaction and continued walking. His footsteps gradually faded, leaving the demons trembling in place.

Douma cautiously raised his head. Seeing that Allen had truly left, he raised his golden folding fan to cover half his face: "Oh my, I wonder who the Honored Ancestor is taking us to meet~"

"Shut up!" Muzan snapped, "How dare you speculate on the Honored Ancestor's plans?"

After nearly a year of Allen's'special care,' Muzan was already numb. Among the eight demons, he was probably the one who feared Allen the most.

Kokushibo's six eyes opened simultaneously: "Muzan, what do you think the Honored Ancestor is really..."

"Don't ask!" Muzan interrupted him, his voice filled with unprecedented fear: "We just need to obey orders! We are merely tools! Tools!"

Gyutaro held his sister Daki, the siblings huddled in a corner. Daki's beautiful face was full of curiosity and unease: "Brother, what's the new world like? Will we still be together?"

"Shh..." Gyutaro patted his sister's back reassuringly: "As long as we listen to the Honored Ancestor, everything will be fine."

Akaza clenched his fists, his body covered in tattoos glowing with an eerie light in the dimness: "The Honored Ancestor's power is truly unfathomable. It is my honor to follow such a strong individual."

Gyokko hid behind a pillar, his voice trembling: "I, I think we should just focus on preparing."

The second most afraid of Allen was Gyokko, after all, Allen had brought him too many shadows.

Hantengu curled up in a ball, not even daring to lift his head: "It's too terrifying, too terrifying."

The surroundings fell silent once more, with only the heavy breathing of the demons echoing in the empty space.

After leaving the Infinity Castle, Allen went directly to the Kyoto Imperial Palace. It was late at night, but the Emperor's bedchamber was still brightly lit.

He stood on the palace roof, looking down at the patrolling samurai below. These elite samurai seemed as weak as ants in his eyes.

"Little one, I apologize for disturbing you late at night." Allen's voice suddenly sounded inside the bedchamber.

The Emperor, who was about to engage in some intimate fun with his imperial concubine, suddenly looked up and saw a strange young man standing before him, having appeared at some unknown time, and the guards were completely unaware!

"You! Who are you!" The Emperor fearfully scrambled up from the tatami, his large movement nearly overturning the tea table beside it. His face was pale, and the imperial concubine beside him was even more terrified, huddled in a ball and screaming repeatedly.

Allen casually sat down at the Emperor's tea table and poured himself a cup of tea: "Don't be nervous. I am your ancestor. I've only come this time to 'borrow' some money from my filial descendant."

"How dare you!" The Emperor slammed his hand on the table, making the teacup fall onto the tatami, the warm tea soaking into the luxurious silk cushion. His trembling finger pointed at Allen, but his voice quivered with fear: "Guards! Protect the Emperor!"

Outside the hall, hurried footsteps and the clang of armor immediately sounded. Twenty elite samurai, swords in hand, rushed into the bedchamber, surrounding Allen. The Samurai Leader at the forefront drew his katana, its cold gleam reflecting Allen's calm face.

Allen slowly sipped his tea, not even raising an eyelid: "The tea is good, it's just a bit over-brewed."

"Baka yarou!" The Samurai Leader roared, his katana slicing towards Allen's shoulder with a whooshing sound.

"Clang—!"

A crisp sound of metal breaking rang out. The Samurai Leader stared in shock at the broken blade in his hand, while Allen maintained his posture of holding the tea cup, not even a corner of his clothes stirring.

"This, this is impossible!" The Samurai Leader stumbled backward, his face pale.

"Thump, thump, thump."

The upper bodies of the Samurai Leader's followers behind him all disappeared, leaving only their lower halves falling to the ground with dull thuds.

Allen finally looked up, his gaze sweeping over everyone present. His eyes were as chilling as an abyss, making the Emperor and the Samurai Leader involuntarily take half a step back.

"I told you, I only came to borrow some money." Allen put down his teacup, his voice still calm.

"Do you really have to make it so tense? You're truly unfilial."

The Emperor suppressed the fear in his heart, his voice dry: "You... you... who exactly are you?"

Allen's lips curved slightly: "Didn't I tell you? I am your ancestor."

The Emperor's face instantly turned ashen, his legs trembling uncontrollably. He had never seen such a bizarre existence. This young man was clearly sitting in front of him, yet he gave him a sense of pressure like facing an abyss.

"How much do you want?" The Emperor's voice trembled.

Allen slowly poured himself another cup of tea: "Not much, just enough for me to buy some things to decorate myself."

He pointed to his somewhat worn black outfit, "After all, I have to meet people, so I need to dress presentably."

The Emperor breathed a sigh of relief as if granted a great pardon, and quickly shouted to the attendant beside him: "Quick! Bring the gold bars! The best ones!"

The attendant scrambled out of the bedchamber and soon returned with an exquisite lacquer box. The Emperor personally took it and presented it to Allen with both hands: "This is five hundred taels of gold. Please accept it."

Allen casually opened the box, and a golden light immediately illuminated his calm face. He took out a gold bar and toyed with it in his hand, then suddenly his expression changed: "You think five hundred taels of gold is enough to send me away?"
