Chapter 87 - Chapter 87 The Invitation of the Rich Zenir

"Stop! You stop right there!" Speed-o-Sound Sonic shouted loudly, looking at Allen's departing back.

"Oh? What other tricks do you have?" Allen stopped, looking at Sonic, who had a pained expression, with interest.

"From assassin to bodyguard, I am Speed-o-Sound Sonic, the strongest ninja capable of any job!"

"But from now on, I will refuse all work and focus on training myself until I can settle the score with you." His eyes were teary, filled with a stronger determination than anyone else.

Allen looked at Speed-o-Sound Sonic, who was kneeling on the ground, and the corner of his mouth under the armor curved slightly: "Interesting. I look forward to your growth."

After speaking, he walked towards the edge of the rooftop. Sonic, enduring the pain, struggled to stand up: "Wait! At least tell me your name!"

"Name?" Allen stopped and glanced back at him.

"You can call me… Ashura."

Before his voice faded, his figure had already vanished into the thick night, leaving Sonic alone on top of the building.

He clenched his fist and muttered, "Ashura, I've remembered you. I will abandon everything just to surpass you!"

At the same time, the commotion on the rooftop also alarmed the other security guards. They were in a chaotic state in the monitoring room and only breathed a sigh of relief after seeing the Armored Monster leave.

"Quickly notify the Hero Association! An unknown Armored Monster attacked!"

"We've already contacted them, but Mr. Sonic seems to be injured."

In the monitor footage, Sonic walked hobbling towards the elevator, clutching his legs, his face ashen.

Allen moved through the night, his black and red armor blending perfectly into the darkness. He glanced at the progress bar; it had already reached thirty-three percent.

Although the speed was not bad, Allen was getting impatient. He decided to directly gather multiple S-Class Heroes. After all, if this continued, Allen would risk exposure.

It would be better to go big once and then retire until the day Allen could single-handedly fight against the entire Hero Association.

And even if things went awry, it didn't matter. Allen still had the system's world-crossing function as a fallback. His crossing value, after a few days of accumulation, had reached 573, enough for Allen to make a two-star world jump.

He returned to his rented room, and the communicator on his bed began to vibrate. Allen removed his faceplate, revealing half his face.

"Mr. Allen! Emergency situation!" The operator's voice carried clear panic.

"Zenil Tower was attacked by an unknown Armored Monster, and Mr. Zenil's bodyguard, Sonic, is severely injured! The Association requests your immediate investigation!"

The corner of Allen's mouth curved slightly, but his voice was feigned serious: "Understood. I'll be there in ten minutes."

After hanging up the call, the bio-armor merged into his skin. Allen changed into a black tight-fitting outfit, rumpling his clothes in the mirror to ensure he looked like he had rushed there immediately after receiving the news.

Ten minutes later, Allen appeared punctually on the rooftop of Zenil Tower. Several Association staff members and Zenil's security guards were investigating the scene. When they saw Allen arrive, they immediately greeted him.

"Mr. Allen, you're here." The lead staff member wiped sweat from his forehead.

Allen looked around, noticing several shurikens and kunai scattered on the ground, as well as several clear signs of a struggle. He crouched down and gently touched the indentations on the ground with his finger.

"Where is this Sonic you mentioned?" Allen stood up and looked at the staff and bodyguards present.

"Mr. Sonic has already left. Also, Mr. Zenil has something he wants to discuss with you. He is a shareholder and one of the executives of the Hero Association," a staff member from the Association whispered to Allen.

Allen nodded and followed the staff member to the luxurious suite on the top floor of the building via elevator, entering the hall made of pure gold.

Zenil was sitting on a leather sofa, smoking a cigar with a gloomy expression. When he saw Allen's figure appear in the golden hall, his expression immediately changed.

"Ah! Our great hero is here! I was the one who initiated your promotion to S-Class Hero!" Zenil forced an exaggerated smile, the wrinkles on his face scrunching up like a chrysanthemum.

"This attack was very peculiar. That Monster calling himself Ashura came to my Golden Poop Tower just to beat up my bodyguard, Sonic."

"Ashura?" Allen appropriately feigned surprise.

"Is that what the Monster called himself?"

"Yes, this was information I ordered Sonic to extract, even if it meant dying, just to better assist the Hero Association's work," Zenil nodded, pressing his cigar into the ashtray.

"Sonic said that Monster called himself Ashura, covered in black and red armor, and was incredibly powerful."

Allen nodded, his voice flat: "I already know all of this. Is there anything else?"

Zenil rubbed his hands: "Mr. Allen, I heard you've been investigating this matter recently. How about staying here with me? You name the price."

Allen frowned slightly, his gaze calmly fixed on Zenil: "No need. I have my own residence."

Zenil's smile stiffened, then he put on an even more enthusiastic expression: "Mr. Allen, I have beauties from all over the world here. You can experience exotic flavors."

Allen shook his head, his tone firm: "Mr. Zenil, I am a professional hero, not your private bodyguard. If you have any information about Monster attacks, please contact the Hero Association directly."

After speaking, he turned and left the suite, leaving behind a gloomy-faced Zenil.

After the door closed, he violently smashed the crystal ashtray on the table against the wall: "Damn heroes! Every single one of them is so arrogant!"

"Monster have run into my house, and they're still so calm! What's so good about protecting those commoners! The ones they should be protecting are me!"

"I'm the damn shareholder! Without me! All you tight-wearing circus clowns would be eating shit!"

The butler beside him watched the enraged Zenil, not daring to speak, silently lowering his head.

He turned to the butler beside him, gritting his teeth and saying: "Contact the other shareholders for me tomorrow. I want to hold an emergency meeting! These Hero Association guys, they take my money but don't do their job!"

"It's time to teach them a lesson!" Zenil's face was terrifyingly grim. His reason for sponsoring the Hero Association was originally just to increase his political influence and incidentally buy off a few heroes to be his dirty hands.

But now these guys actually dared to defy his orders. It seems it's time for the Hero Association to be rectified!

The butler respectfully bowed his head: "Yes, Master. What about Mr. Sonic?"

"That good-for-nothing!" Zenil kicked over the coffee table.

"He cost me so much money, and he couldn't even stop one Monster!"

At the same time, Allen had already left the Golden Poop Tower. He stood on the street, looking up at the iconic building, a slight smile on his lips.

"Let's see who gets kicked out in the end."
