Chapter 1 - The lazy little Bird

The Lazy Little Bird

Once, there was a little bird who was very kind but also very, very lazy. Every time he had a job to do, he would say, "I'll do it later."

When autumn arrived and the weather started getting cold, all the birds began to prepare for their long journey to warmer lands. His friends told him, "Start preparing now! We have a long flight ahead." But the lazy bird replied, "Oh, don't worry, there's still plenty of time. I'll start tomorrow."

Days passed, and while other birds were practicing their flight and gathering strength, the lazy bird was just resting and playing. One morning, he woke up to a great silence. He looked around and realized that everyone had already left.

He tried to fly by himself, but because he hadn't practiced or prepared, he was too weak. The cold wind was too strong for him, and the snow began to fall. He was left all alone in the freezing cold, struggling to survive because he had kept saying "tomorrow" for too long.

Moral of the Story:

"Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today." (Aaj ka kam kal par mat taalo).

Aalas hamara sabse bada dushman hai kyunki khoya hua samay kabhi laut kar nahi aata.

Ek Aur Choti Sikh: The Dog and His Reflection

Ye kahani humein Ghamand ya Dusron ki cheez dekh kar lalach karne se rokti hai:

Ek kutta apne muh mein haddi (bone) lekar pul (bridge) par se ja raha tha. Jab usne niche pani mein apni perchhai (reflection) dekhi, toh use laga ki wo koi dusra kutta hai jiske paas usse bhi badi haddi hai.

Usne dusre kutte ki haddi chheen-ne ke liye jaise hi apna muh khola aur bhonka (barked), uske apne muh ki haddi pani mein gir gayi.

Sikh: Jo aapke paas hai uski kadar karein, dusron ki dekha-dekhi mein hum apna bhi kho dete hain.
