Night Time....
Two days before the Carnival...
"That's what the devil warned Sensei" Haru to Adryn.
Adryn puzzled.
Everyone in the room, thinking what that means.
"The killings sure happened again after the Mayor took charge" Regi.
"Maybe the devil is warning something" Regi mutters to himself.
"Regi-san do you have any plan" Yamado.
Regi looks at Yamado and smiles...
"Not at all"....
"Huh leave it" Adryn.
"The tree is made up of the Essence Devil's root you said" Toxin.
"Yeah" Regi nodds.
"Wait" Adryn panicks for some reason.
"The first time I came here the tree was the source of life. It was consuming this village" Adryn.
Fears builds up in Haru's eyes as he is the only one among the kids who Adryn told that story of his previous visit.
"People are now praying to the tree to protect them every year during the carnival and during that time many people are gone missing" Regi.
"The rituals started when the Mayor took charge" Adryn and Regi simultaneously.
"We got it that means the Mayor must be behind something" Adryn.
"Regi we need a proper plan before the final confrontation" Adryn.
"Riya you go and sleep inside the room you are still a kid" Regi.
"No I am not, and they are kids as well" Riya.
"But they are Exorcists and has contracts" Regi.
"No but still they are kids" Riya grumbles.
"They are high schoolers" Adryn supporting Regi.
"No I want to help you too" Riya acting like a child.
Regi gets mad...
"Stop it Riya! I said you are not participating this is my final decision".
Riya gets sad...
She sobbs.
"This the first time you are making me sad"...
She leaves the room while crying....
"Don't be so harsh Regi" Adryn.
"What else should I do" Regi gets sad.
"Tell the kids what's happening in your mind and heart. I told you already that they will help you if you open up to them" Adryn.
"What's the matter Regi-san" Haru walks upto him.
"Tell us we will help you" Yamado.
Regi opens up and tells his story with Riya ( The one inthe Previous Chapter ).
"So that's it we will protect Riya" Haru.
"Yes you can trust us" Yamado.
"There no reason to see us a burden" Toxin.
"You don't know what we are capable of" All three of them simultaneously...
Regi gets relaxed a bit.
"See I told you these kids are way smarter" Adryn.
"There is also one thing I want to say" Regi.
"What is it Regi-san" Haru.
"I can't use my power anymore" Regi....
Everyone get's stunned after hearing it...
"Are you joking" Adryn.
"No I am not who would joke about something like this you idiot" Regi.
"What are you saying Regi-san is it true". Haru.
"Yes it is, that is one of the reason Trian told me to quit because he didn't want me to lose my life" Regi.
"So what is your power Regi-san" Yamado.
"My power ( Contract ) is Regeneration" Regi.
Regeneration is the power which make you immune to physical attack until your body runs out of blood...
"So that's that power, it's so cool" Haru.
"You are awesome Regi-san" Yamado.
"Remember he can't use it" Toxin.
A moment of Silence fills the room...
"Don't spoil the mood you brat" Yamado mad.
Haru restraing him "calm down Yamado although he is a Brat he is telling the truth".
Yamado calms down.
"How did you lose it Regi-san" Haru turns to Regi.
"Due to the shock" Regi.
"What shock, which kind of" Haru.
Those three listening carefully to it...
"I blamed myself for the lose of my wife and my daughter. It frustrated the devil. Since then it hasn't lended me it's power, even though it's still inside me" Regi.
"Let's leave this talk" Adryn.
Adryn taks Regi to the roof....
Three of them tells those two to think of something before the Carnival...
Then they three returns to their room...
They all didn't know that Riya was hearing to all this...
She is sobbing for her father Regi...
"Why is this happening to my father" Riya.
Tears don't stop falling from her eyes...
She looks out of the window.
"That tree is the whole cause I think?" Riya.
Riya looks closely at the tree...
It is starting to shine, but slowly...
She realises that the Carnival is about to begin.....
