Chapter 56 - Peak Clash! Armored: Flower-Tree World Descends!!

[send power stones please]

God Valley.

Boulders tumbled and shattered.

The few trees that had survived were ripped up by the roots, torn apart, and flung all the way out toward the sea.

Even the ocean began to churn.

At the center of the battlefield—

Aside from the Celestial Dragons who had already fainted early on…

Large numbers of Marines, CP agents, and allied kingdom soldiers were also unconscious on the ground—nearly ten thousand of them, about half the fighting force stationed in the island's core.

Roughly another ten thousand elite Marines were still standing—

But all of them were trembling, eyes bulging, looking utterly shaken.

They stared at Rocks, who stood halfway up the mountain like a demon king.

"How is this possible? Even officers can't withstand it!"

"So this is what 'overlord-class' really means?!"

"We… we can still win, right? Kong and the others haven't even truly gone all out yet!"

"But Rocks hasn't either! And those division captains behind him—Romu and the rest—haven't moved!"

Numbers still favored the Marines.

But their morale crashed in a single breath.

Kong Steps In

Kong's brow furrowed as he realized he couldn't let the pressure keep spreading.

Boom!

Using Moonwalk, he burst into the sky and hovered opposite Rocks.

His voice was heavy.

"Rocks."

"I told you—today you will lose."

"Justice will not fall."

His mountain-shaped moustache quivered violently as his stare locked onto Rocks.

Armament Haki surged across his entire body.

In an instant he turned pitch-black from head to toe—muscles swelling like forged steel.

A terrifying pressure erupted from him.

Not flashy.

Not explosive.

But any true fighter could feel it.

If Rocks was a tyrant's overwhelming spirit—

Then Kong was pure, crushing physical power.

"Steel-Bone" Kong.

A fortress in human form.

The Marines' morale surged back up. They steadied their posture, gripped their weapons, and glared at the elite pirates again.

Rocks withdrew his gaze from the direction the Five Elders had vanished toward and looked at Kong.

He sneered.

"Justice always wins?"

Then he burst into laughter.

"HAHAHAHA—!"

"Because only the winner gets to be called justice."

He stepped forward.

His own Armament Haki exploded outward, forming a dark, wave-like aura along his skin.

His long hair rose without wind.

Abyssal. Hellish.

The air between them popped from pressure alone.

Overlord vs Fleet Admiral

Next—

Both vanished.

They reappeared hundreds of meters away in midair, already exchanging blows.

In moments, they had traded dozens of strikes.

Too fast.

Too strong.

Neither Marines nor pirates could follow their bodies—only two black streaks colliding again and again, lightning cracking through the clouds.

People swallowed hard.

"So this… is what a real monster looks like…"

Romu Moves

While the world stared at Kong vs Rocks—

Romu calmly touched his nose.

Spat out his toothpick.

A cold glint crossed his eyes.

He spread both hands.

In a low voice:

"Armored: Flower-Tree World Descends!"

He wasn't about to sit idle.

No one knew how the battle would ultimately end.

The only safe choice was the simplest one:

collect as much "harvest" as possible, right now.

The already ruined ground trembled.

Shiki's pupils tightened.

"That move—!"

He instinctively thought of "Tree World Descends," but instantly rejected it.

"No—this is worse."

Whitebeard, Wang Zhi, and the others all felt it too.

Romu's lips lifted.

He glanced at them.

"If you're not moving, you're waiting to die."

Then he clenched his open palm.

The tremor violently intensified.

Rock slid.

Sea water surged.

And then—

Green spread across the black-brown rock like infection.

Everyone standing on the ground froze for a heartbeat—Marines and pirates alike.

Zeff gritted his teeth.

"It's Romu!"

Sengoku, Garp, Tsuru—everyone who had studied the intelligence reports recognized it instantly.

Sengoku raised a hand, holding Zeff back.

"We're short on manpower. Everyone follows my command."

He turned to Garp, whose face was pitch-dark.

"This is the perfect time for you to be angry."

Garp walked forward slowly, shoulders shaking.

He glanced back and said to Sengoku in a deep voice:

"Here's a secret, Sengoku."

"I'm always angry."

He shrugged off his coat.

It hit the ground.

A monstrous physique was revealed as raw power surged upward—

Boom!

The rock beneath him cracked.

"The Legendary Marine" Garp moved.

Sengoku adjusted his glasses and continued issuing orders.

"Zeff—handle Shiki. Go all out and pin him down!"

Zeff slammed Sengoku's shoulder once.

"Don't forget Romu."

Romu is the real monster.

Sengoku answered coldly:

"How could I forget?"

Zephyr's Armament erupted. His entire body turned black as he shot at Shiki like a human weapon.

Shiki laughed—yet still threw Romu a murderous glance.

"Romu! Wait for me—first I'll kill Zeff!"

He drew his blades.

Dust gathered into a roaring lion beneath his feet as he flew off—

Everyone Is Forced to Fight

Whitebeard's blond hair lifted as he faced Tsuru, CP agents, and the Vinsmokes charging him.

He raised Murakumogiri.

He spoke to Romu without turning.

"Remember what I told you."

"Live."

Boom!

Whitebeard advanced.

Wang Zhi, Silver Axe, and John all snapped into motion too.

No more pretending.

No more holding back.

Romu had said it plainly:

No one was escaping.

The only path was to carve through.

They attacked.

Big Mom swallowed a chunk of cake, flashed a twisted grin, and joined them—

But a wall of Vice Admirals and Rear Admirals surged forward.

"We won't let you through!"

"Justice will win!"

"Die, pirates!"

The World Becomes a Forest of Death

God Valley shook harder.

Then—

Trees began to rise.

Not normal trees.

They burst from underground like living monsters—splitting mountains, spearing through rock, swallowing the earth.

In seconds, the entire surface was smothered.

Every thorned trunk carried a massive crimson flower at its tip.

And every trunk—

was coated in a faint layer of black.

Armament Haki.

This was Romu's new technique:

Armored Flower-Tree World Descends.

A Tree World Descends—upgraded.

Armament-coated.

Mass-destruction scale.

It could bind, pierce, and release neurotoxic pollen that paralyzed living beings.

The flowers bloomed.

A strange mist spread toward the Marine lines.

At the same time, countless dark trunks stabbed forward like arrows—

Hundreds of Marines were instantly skewered and drained into dried husks.

Marines screamed and swung their blades—

But the trunks wouldn't cut.

"What is this?!"

"Why won't it break?!"

"Armament Haki—those trunks are coated in Armament!! Use Armament on your swords or you can't cut them!"

They were elite.

Many could use Armament Haki.

They started cutting trunks down—

But then the pollen took effect.

"Cough—my hand! I can't feel my hand!"

"My head is spinning!"

"I can't lift my sword—what is this?!"

"Help—!"

Bodies collapsed in rows.

Like wheat being harvested.

Became husks.

On the ground—

Kizaru's voice shook for once.

"...How terrifying."

This time, it wasn't mocking.

He was actually afraid.

Akainu's young-but-ancient face dripped with cold sweat as he smashed trunks into ash with magma—

But it was a bucket against a flood.

If this continued, the Marines would be wiped out by a single move.

He roared—

"Justice isn't that pathetic!"

"Great Eruption!!"

Twin magma fists swelled, then blasted out a volcanic torrent toward the forest.

He shouted at the others:

"What are you two doing?! If you don't move now, when will you?!"

Aokiji's eyes turned sharp.

His body crystallized into ice.

Both arms raised toward the sky.

"Ice Age Moment!"

A freezing sphere surged outward, locking hundreds of trunks into ice.

Beside him, Kizaru adjusted his glasses, forced himself calm, and formed light between his hands.

"Yata Mirror!"

A beam shot out, carving a "path of light" through the air.

The Vinsmokes moved too.

"Deploy nano shields!"

"Activate defense cloaks!"

"Air cannons! Blast the pollen away!"

For a brief moment—

They held.

Romu watched and murmured:

"Not bad."

Then he clenched his hand again.

The earth roared.

More trees erupted.

He had no restraint.

He had absorbed too much "fuel."

The once-barren God Valley became an ocean of towering trees.

The Marine formation broke again.

Dead everywhere.

Sengoku Finally Moves

A roar ripped across the battlefield:

"ROMU!!"

Sengoku's face twisted with fury.

Golden light erupted from him.

His body expanded—

Wind howled—

And he transformed into a colossal golden Buddha.

Sengoku had chosen Romu as his opponent.

Far away, on the watching island—

Roger stared at the tree-wrapped God Valley, expression grim.

"I didn't expect it to get this brutal right at the start."

He gripped Ace and spoke to Rayleigh and the others behind him:

"Get ready."

"It's time for us to enter."
