That night, the three of them sneaked into the museum through the bathroom air vent.
After dropping down into the bathroom, they stayed near the entrance and listened for a moment, making sure the hallway outside was clear.
"So, what are we waiting for? We got the place to ourselves, so let's grab that thing and get out," Dean said, keeping his voice low.
Sam pointed toward the hallway. "Dean, are your eyes for decoration? There are cameras."
Dean glanced at the nearest camera. "That's why I said we should shut down the whole power system."
"Did you not hear what the curator said? The museum has backup power. The moment the main power goes out, the security system switches over."
Dean frowned. "Okay, so killing the power isn't an option."
"Not unless we want to trip every alarm in the building."
Dean looked down the hallway again. "Then we do this the old-fashioned way. We wait for an opening, get to the exhibit, grab the book, and leave."
Henry nodded toward the corridor. "Sounds simple enough."
Dean gave him a look. "Don't say that. Every time somebody says that, things go to hell." Then he turned on Henry.
"And don't you have fucking angel powers? Can't you stop making us do all this work? Couldn't you have just teleported us here?"
Sam slowly looked at Henry too, and for a moment neither brother said anything.
The question was actually pretty damn obvious — they'd spent the last few minutes crawling through an air vent just to get inside a building Henry could probably have gotten them into without any of it.
"Maybe he can't do it that often, Dean," Sam said, noticing Henry's suddenly serious expression.
Dean stared at him. "No." He pointed at Henry. "That's definitely the face of someone who just remembered he can do exactly that."
Henry stayed quiet for a few seconds, then slowly looked up at the ceiling. "...I completely forgot."
Sam closed his eyes and shook his head. "You're kidding."
"I've had a lot going on."
Dean stared at him in disbelief. "Then do your thing. Make these cameras stop recording," he said, pointing toward the hallway.
Henry looked toward the cameras and sighed. "Well, let me try."
He stepped closer to the bathroom entrance and focused on the nearest camera.
He'd barely used his angelic abilities for anything like this before, and even his Ether wasn't something he could casually throw around — he could probably fry the cameras with it, but pushing out enough power to hit every camera at once would likely tear half the museum apart.
Henry took a slow breath and concentrated.
Dean watched him for a few seconds before getting impatient. "Yeah, now let it out of another hole. What are you doing, damn yoga?"
Henry's eyes stayed shut. "Dean, disturb me again and I'll make sure a camera appears in that hole you're talking about."
Dean immediately shut up.
A faint blue-white glow appeared around Henry's feet. Thin strands of Ether spread across the floor like cables, moving silently along the walls and ceiling.
They reached the security cameras one after another, wrapping around them before shorting them out.
The small red lights on the cameras winked out.
Henry opened his eyes and looked down the hallway. "Done." He wiped his forehead. "But we've only got a few minutes. Go get the book and get the hell out."
Dean nodded, and he and Sam moved quickly toward the historical collection, Henry following behind.
They reached the display case holding the Necronomicon. Henry used his powers to lift the glass cover, and Dean reached in and grabbed the book.
The moment he touched it, his face twisted in disgust. "Eww. This thing feels gross." He turned it over in his hands. "Feels like I'm holding dried-out skin."
Henry stared at the book. "Just don't open it."
"I wasn't planning to."
The book opened by itself.
Dean froze. Henry's expression changed instantly. "Dean, didn't I fucking tell you not to open that thing? That thing is dangerous."
"I didn't open it," Dean said, staring at it. "It opened by itself." He shut it quickly.
For a second, nothing happened.
Then the cover slowly lifted again.
Dean's eyes widened. "Okay..."
Henry took a step back. "That's not normal."
The pages began turning on their own, faster and faster, as though an invisible hand were flipping through them.
Sam eyed the book with growing concern. "Yeah, I think we should put that thing back."
Henry shook his head. "No. We're ditching it." He grabbed Dean by the arm and reached for Sam. "We're getting out of here."
Before they could move, the pages stopped.
A strange sound filled the room. Above them, the air twisted and folded in on itself — a dark tunnel ringed with swirling white and black energy formed directly over their heads.
Henry looked up. "What the hell is that?"
The distortion suddenly pulled downward with tremendous force.
Dean grabbed the display case, but the pull ripped him free. Sam was dragged off his feet next. Henry tried to anchor himself against the floor, but the force was too strong.
"Screw this!"
He grabbed Dean and Sam as the three of them were sucked into the swirling tunnel.
The museum vanished beneath them, darkness and blinding white light swallowing them whole.

The three of them dropped out of the swirling tunnel and appeared above a dark forest. Dean and Sam hit the ground first, crashing into a pile of leaves and branches, while Henry landed on his feet a few meters away.
"Son of a bitch!" Dean groaned, pushing himself out of the leaves.
Sam rolled onto his back and looked around, trying to figure out where the hell they'd ended up. Henry barely registered them — he was too focused on what had just happened during the jump.
Something had interfered with his teleportation.
