Chapter 119 - Chapter 119 : First Seal Broken

At Bobby's salvage yard, inside one of the spare rooms of his house, Henry lay unconscious on the bed. The blue glow hadn't disappeared.

Bobby stood beside the bed with a beer bottle in his hand, staring down at him. For several moments he didn't say anything. Then he took a drink and looked Henry over again.

The bedroom door opened. Dean and Sam stepped inside. Bobby didn't turn around.

"Is his age givin' out or somethin'?"

"What?"

Bobby gestured toward the bed. "Why the hell is Henry glowin' like a damn light bulb?"

Dean exchanged a look with Sam. That was exactly the question neither of them had an answer to. "That's what we wanted to ask you. When we found him, he was already like this."

Bobby turned around and gave them both an annoyed look. "So what makes you think I know what's happenin' to him? Do I look like some damn encyclopedia?"

"Well..."

"Careful."

Dean decided not to finish that sentence.

Sam stepped in. "We thought maybe you'd seen something similar before."

Bobby snorted. "In all my years huntin', I've never seen a case like this." His eyes moved back to Henry, the blue glow pulsing faintly beneath his skin.

"If anything, this makes me wonder whether that's actually Henry or somethin' wearin' his face."

The amusement vanished from Dean's expression. "Bobby."

"No, don't 'Bobby' me." He pointed toward the bed.

"You boys know better than anybody that we don't get careless around weird crap. People get possessed. Replaced. Copied. I've seen worse."

Sam couldn't really argue with that. Paranoia kept hunters alive. "Maybe this has something to do with that meteor. Henry told us about it before. The thing that fell from the sky."

Bobby considered it for several seconds, then nodded slowly. "Maybe."

Dean sighed. Not much of an answer, but more than they had before. "So do you have any idea how to wake him up?"

"If I knew that, don't you think I would've tried it already?"

"Fair point."

Bobby grabbed the beer bottle from the table. "What we need is information." He was already heading for the door. "There are books downstairs I haven't checked yet."

Dean groaned. "Research."

"Yeah. Welcome to huntin'." Bobby opened the door.

"How many books?" Sam asked.

"A lot. And since you two brought this problem into my house, you're helpin'." He left the room.

Dean and Sam exchanged a look. Neither wanted to spend the rest of the day buried in dusty books. Unfortunately both knew Bobby was right. Without another word they followed him out.

The room fell silent. Henry remained motionless on the bed. Then his fingers twitched. A faint pulse of blue light spread across his body. Beneath closed eyelids his eyes moved slightly.

At the same moment, invisible to everyone in the house, a translucent screen flashed briefly before him.

The message flickered once, then disappeared.

Hours had passed since they brought Henry back. The three hunters were spread around the living room with books, journals, and loose papers covering nearly every available surface. They still hadn't found anything useful.

Dean was slouched in a chair flipping through a dusty tome with the enthusiasm of someone reading a phone book. Sam sat at the table surrounded by lore books while Bobby searched through one of his older journals.

The entire house shook. Books rattled on shelves. Papers slid across the table.

"What the hell was that?"

The vibration faded as quickly as it appeared. Sam frowned. "I don't know."

A deep rumble echoed from outside — not normal thunder, something with unnatural weight behind it. Bobby's expression changed. He closed the journal in his hands. "That doesn't sound like any normal earthquake."

He stood and headed toward the front door.

Dean and Sam exchanged a look before returning to the books. A minute passed. Then another. Bobby still hadn't returned. That alone was enough to worry them.

Dean tossed the book aside. "If Bobby got eaten by something, I'm gonna be annoyed."

Sam was already getting up. They headed outside.

The moment they stepped onto the porch, both brothers stopped.

The sky had changed. Dark clouds stretched across the horizon in every direction — not ordinary storm clouds, but massive black formations that looked alive, twisting overhead while lightning illuminated the darkness.

Thunder rolled continuously. The air felt heavy. Oppressive. Like the atmosphere before a disaster.

Bobby stood in the yard staring upward, looking genuinely concerned — something neither brother had seen from him often.

"What is it?" Dean asked.

Bobby's eyes stayed fixed on the sky. "Somethin' bad."

Lightning split the clouds, the horizon glowing white for an instant before darkness returned.

Sam felt a chill run down his spine. Every instinct told him the storm wasn't natural. "What could cause this?"

Bobby shook his head. "I don't know." That answer was rare from him. Which made it worse.

The thunder intensified. The ground trembled beneath their feet.

Far away, beyond the visible horizon, something ancient stirred. Deep within Hell, hidden beyond countless layers of seals and wards, a crack appeared. Small. Barely noticeable. Yet significant enough to send ripples through creation itself.

The first seal had broken. The righteous man had shed blood in Hell. And the prison built to contain the Devil for millennia had begun to weaken.

The crack spread farther. Somewhere in the darkness beyond the bars of the Cage, a presence opened its eyes.

Lucifer smiled.

The Apocalypse had taken its first step forward.
