Chapter 74 - Chapter 74: The Great Giant!

Time rewinds five minutes…

Out in the vacuum of space, a warship slowly drifted closer to Earth.

"Earth, huh? Finally."

The man seated on a throne in the deepest part of the ship stared quietly at that beautiful planet. His heart thundered in his chest—he could feel it. On this remote world, there had to be someone who could stand toe-to-toe with him.

"Full speed ahead!"

After admiring the planet for a while, the dominator of the universe issued his order to the entire ship.

"Move!"

With the command received, the warship surged forward toward Earth…

"Brother…"

Orbiting Earth in an endless loop, the Giant looked at the wreckage floating around him and began to cry. He couldn't understand why his brother, the scientist, had made him so strong—so strong that he couldn't even die in the void of space.

He felt regret. He felt anger. He felt—

And then, in the middle of his grief…

He collided head-on with the incoming warship.

"Detected a massive unknown lifeform!"

The ship's operator froze when the Giant came into view, drifting in the vacuum. Then he immediately reported it up the chain.

"Fire."

On the throne, the overlord didn't hesitate for a second.

"Open fire!!"

The warship obeyed, unloading its full firepower on the Giant floating in space.

Boom!

With a series of deafening blasts, the Giant and his brother finally "went to heaven," surrounded by the entire Dark Matter Thieves crew—courtesy of their savage barrage.

Let us offer a sincere hymn for the S-Class hero, the great Giant—who, even after giving up on thinking, still used his own body in place of his mother, Earth, to tank the Dark Matter Thieves' vicious assault… all while his junk was hanging out.

And let us observe a respectful moment of silence for 0.05 seconds.

"Report: target destroyed. Not even a dick left!"

One of the Dark Matter Thieves grunts proudly reported to their boss.

"Good. Continue forward."

The overlord on the throne gave the order to advance. The ship pierced the atmosphere and flew into the skies above A-City—right over the Hero Association headquarters.

"Open fire!"

The operators hit the firing controls with practiced ease.

Invade the planet. Blanket-bomb the surface. Clean out the weaklings who couldn't survive the ship's cannons—

Then the Dark Matter Thieves' three generals, along with the great dominator of the universe, Lord Boros himself, would personally step in and fight the planet's strongest.

That was their invasion routine.

It had never changed.

But…

This planet had far more secrets than they realized.

Because the countless shells they fired suddenly stopped in midair.

Then, in the next instant, they reversed course—rocketing straight back toward the warship!

Boom!

Explosions erupted across the vessel that covered A-City's sky. Flames roared violently, tearing through everything on board.

"Ha…"

At the ship's core, the overlord on the throne felt the constant tremors running through the hull…

And for the first time in twenty years, he smiled.

"Found you~"

Excitement surged through him as he clenched his fist—yet he still didn't rise from his throne.

He was waiting.

Waiting for a challenger to come to him.

"The ship has taken severe damage!"

Inside the massive warship, the bizarre-looking alien operators stared at the data on their control panels, eyes bulging.

"What happened?!"

"Why are our missiles bouncing back?!"

They were completely thrown off. As Lord Boros's fleet, they'd invaded countless worlds—wiped out civilization after civilization. Sure, they'd seen resistance before…

But never anything as absurd as having their own attack reflected back at them.

"It's psychic power—telekinesis. A specific type."

In the control room, a huge octopus-like alien with countless tentacles spoke calmly.

"I told you already. This junk heap is meaningless in front of powerful telekinesis."

"Clearly, among today's enemies, there's a top-tier psychic master."

He didn't look panicked at all about the damage. If anything, after seeing someone reflect the warship's bombardment, he almost looked proud.

"But there's no need to worry."

"Because the strongest psychic in the universe is right here."

"I'll personally defeat that powerful enemy with my supreme telekinesis."

The octopus bragged shamelessly.

"Oh, cut the bullshit, Geryuganshoop!"

A five-headed alien on the ground barked through a communicator at the octopus in the control room.

"You could've blocked that with telekinesis! At the very least, you could've detonated the shells early!"

"The ship being like this is your fault!"

"Ah, well… that's… I mean…"

Geryuganshoop's expression twitched. Unable to come up with a real excuse, he gave up trying.

Then he snapped right back.

"Enough! Why should I explain anything to you?!"

"Just do your damn job and stop sticking your nose into things outside your lane, you annoying Melzargard!"

"…."

Melzargard—the lowest-status member among Boros's three generals—went quiet.

In the end, he didn't argue. He simply flew down toward the city below.

"If you idiots can't be relied on…"

"Then I'll do it myself."

"It might be slower, but wiping out this planet's stupid natives will be easy enough."

Melzargard decided to handle things the old-fashioned way.

No one else mattered.

When it counted, you relied on yourself.

Meanwhile, inside the Hero Association…

"Wha—"

"What's happening?"

Sitch looked panicked. He could hear the earthshaking noise from outside, but he had no idea what was going on.

"An enemy has invaded A-City. They're very strong."

Jovian stood with his arms folded, calm as he addressed the S-Class heroes.

"Just a moment ago, they launched an attack at us."

"If Tatsumaki hadn't stopped it, A-City would've been blasted into the sky."

As he spoke, Jovian glanced toward Tatsumaki beside him.

"Hmph."

Tatsumaki lifted her chin proudly, soaking in the room's attention. She didn't deny a word—almost like she was waiting for Jovian to add something else.

"The enemy…"

Right as Tatsumaki kept shooting Jovian pointed little looks, Sitch cut in.

"Sitch, sir—we've put the outside view on the screen."

The assistant at Sitch's side immediately displayed the scene outside the headquarters through a camera feed.

On the screen, a gigantic alien warship blotted out the sky above A-City—its hull burning, its engines roaring.

And down on the streets below, a monster with five heads was tearing through the roads, smashing everything in its path.
