Chapter 20 - The truth before war

The wind howled across Elysium as Hisano's troops rushed toward the Central Plaza.

Noa could barely stay conscious. His borrowed body felt wrong — heavier, weaker, unfamiliar. Every step reminded him that his real body… was walking somewhere under Jiraci's control.

The gates of the Central Plaza opened.

And the four leaders of Elysium were already waiting.

The Central Plaza fell silent as Hisano's troops entered.

Noa could barely walk. His borrowed body trembled with every step. Rose supported him as they approached the four leaders of Elysium.

Amity stood at the center.

Midnight beside him.

Viviette and Cameron flanking both sides.

The air was already tense.

Amity's eyes locked onto Noa.

"Report."

Noa swallowed.

"It was Lxn."

Viviette's expression darkened instantly.

Cameron stepped forward. "What do you mean Lxn?"

"She only retired so she will be out of sight of Elysium" Noa continued. "She stayed hidden… planning."

"There was Your brother Too" Noa said

While looking at Amity

"What do you mean?" Amity asked."I killed him".Amity continued

The name alone made something shift in the air.

Noa hesitated.

Then said it.

"He was there."

Cameron frowned. "That's impossible. Aristal is dead."

Noa looked directly at Amity.

"He's alive."

The plaza went completely silent.

Amity did not move.

Did not blink.

But something behind his eyes cracked.

Noa continued slowly.

"He led the ritual. Ressurected Jiraci. "

Viviette stepped closer. "You're saying Aristal… brought back Jiraci?"

Noa nodded.

"Yes."

A long pause followed.

Then Cameron spoke carefully.

"Amity…"

Everyone knew.

Aristal was Amity's Older brother.

Killed by Amity years ago.

Amity finally spoke.

"How?"

His voice was calm.

Too calm.

"They used sacrifices," Noa said. "Blood ritual.Blood of our own soldiers. My eye was the catalyst. The souls present in it. They resurrected Jiraci. And…"

He clenched his fists.

"He took my body."

The weight of those words settled over the plaza.

Midnight spoke quietly.

"So Lxn betrayed us."

"Yes," Noa answered.

"And Aristal," Viviette added.

Amity closed his eyes briefly.

When he opened them—

There was no hesitation left.

"If Aristal stands with Jiraci…"

His voice lowered.

"Then he is no longer my brother."

The decision echoed through everyone present.

War Almost Begins

Orders were issued immediately.

Defense systems activated.

Combat divisions mobilized.

cannons aimed toward Sovereign borders.

Cameron was ready to march.

Viviette prepared strategic formations.

Midnight began weaving large-scale shadow barriers.

The sky above Elysium darkened with power.

And just as the command to advance was about to be given—

The atmosphere shifted.

Water spiraled into existence above the plaza.

Four figures descended calmly.

Water.

Revs.

Skewpid.

Hazimo.

All powerful.

Elysium forces immediately raised weapons.

Cameron stepped forward. "You picked the wrong day."

Water raised one hand.

A calm but overwhelming pressure pushed outward — not attacking, but halting escalation.

"We did not come to fight."

Viviette's voice was sharp. "Your former leader is wearing one of ours Soldiers body."

Revs spoke. "We felt Jiraci's resurrection."

Skewpid added, "It was not authorized by Sovereign."

Hazimo's gaze landed on Noa.

"He is acting independently."

Midnight's shadows deepened.

"And why should we believe that?"

Water answered directly.

"Because we stopped him once before."

The plaza grew quiet.

Amity stepped forward now.

"And the ritual?"

Water didn't deny it.

"It originates from Sovereign's ancient archives. We believed it destroyed."

Cameron scoffed. "Clearly not."

Noa forced himself to speak.

"He said his body requires adjustment."

Hazimo nodded once.

"Then he is unstable."

Revs added,

"If he stabilizes fully… neither of our nations will survive."

Because everyone there understood—

If Jiraci mastered Noa's body completely…

There would be no second chance.

Silence fell between the two sides.

War was seconds away.

Amity looked at Water.

"For now… we hold."

Water met his gaze.

"For now."

Weapons slowly lowered.

Energy cannons powered down.

Not trust.

Not alliance.

Just necessity.

Before leaving, Water said one final thing.

"If Aristal lives… and stands with Jiraci…"

He looked at Amity knowingly.

"Then this war is personal for you."

The Sovereign leaders vanished in a distortion of water and space.

The plaza remained heavy.

Cameron looked at Amity.

"What do we do?"

Amity stared at the horizon.

"If Aristal chose this path…"

His voice was steady.

"Then I will be the one to stop him."

Noa clenched his fists.

Jiraci had taken his body.

Lxn had betrayed Elysium.

And Amity's own brother stood with the enemy.

The coming war was no longer political.

It was blood.

And far away—

In a ruined mountain temple—

Jiraci opened Noa's original eyes.

The pupil shifted.

The power of past leaders stirred violently within.

And he smiled.

"Let them gather."

The war had not been prevented.

It had evolved.
