Chapter 6 - Chapter Five: Confrontation and Justice

 Third Person's POV.

Inside the massive conference room, air conditioners hummed, yet Mr. Randall was sweating profusely. His tie clung to his neck as he fidgeted with his papers. All eyes were on him — but most importantly, Sofia, the little lady at the head of the table, gave him a look that could curdle milk.

Her gaze was sharp, controlled, yet murderous. He had never seen this before — Sofia's calm wasn't kindness, it was precision. And now he felt it slicing right through him. He shivered under her eyes as he stumbled through his report, words faltering, voice cracking.

When he finished, silence fell. Absolute silence. The room waited. Sofia said nothing.

Let him stew a little longer. Let everyone see the weight of his misdeeds. she thought. Her mind calculated, noting every twitch, every subtle sign of fear.

Partners exchanged uneasy glances. Even the Zoom participants from rural Liberia seemed to hold their breath. Papers shuffled nervously, whispers barely audible. The air felt electric.

Finally, Sofia nodded to Saydai. Calmly, Saydai played the video: footage of Randall and his accomplices siphoning company funds into private accounts. The room erupted into gasps, murmurs, and whispered curses. Randall's face paled, his minions' hands trembled.

Sofia's voice cut through the chaos — calm but dripping with controlled fury.

"Mr. Randall, do you think I am stupid?"

"No… No, Ms. Parker… you are not," he stammered, barely holding onto his composure.

He still thinks he has a chance. Let him believe that. The fall will be sweeter. Sofia thought, her mind sharp as a knife.

"I will ask you all one last question," she continued, eyes scanning each guilty face. "Why?" Her voice, though quiet, carried the weight of a storm.

Heads bowed in shame. No one dared answer… except Randall, whose arrogance still burned.

"How dare you, Deric Randall," Sofia's voice rose, sharp as a whip, "influence others to steal from my company for over a year? How dare you betray someone who trusted you?"

Randall laughed — a cold, cruel laugh. "How dare I? How dare you? You don't deserve what you have! You… you are nothing but a rejected creature! A freak! Riches are for normal people, not for someone like you!"

Foolish man. He still underestimates me. He still believes my height and silence define my limits. Sofia's internal thoughts were icy, methodical, cutting through his arrogance like steel.

Every word dripped with envy, hatred, and resentment. He straightened his back, jaw tight, eyes flashing with malice.

"I have stolen enough money to last me a lifetime," he sneered. "Do you think I am afraid? What will you do — fire me? That's all."

Let him believe he's untouchable. Let him crumble under his own hubris.

Sofia's perfectly arched eyebrows lifted. "Oh, really?" Her voice was calm, yet every word was a blade. She signaled to Sandra. "Call in the security and my lawyer — they've been on standby since I informed them about this meeting."

Her eyes locked onto Randall. "Now I understand. Jealousy. Greed. That's why you tried to take from me. But sorry to burst your bubble — all that money? Back in my account. And I let you think I was blind and dumb. My parents may have abandoned me, but God didn't. I may be shorter than average, but my intellect? Not abnormal."

She paused, letting the room absorb the shift. Eyes widened, breaths caught. Even Randall hesitated, realizing he had miscalculated entirely. The subtle change was immediate — awe, fear, and respect radiated from every corner.

She pointed to the security officers. "Take him out."

Turning to her lawyer, she added: "Make sure he spends his life in prison. Confiscate every benefit he and his family gained from this company."

Her lawyer nodded. "You may go," she said dismissively.

Randall's jaw clenched. He opened his mouth, eyes burning. "You… you think you're so smart, don't you? Just because you're tiny, you think you can outsmart everyone!"

Pitiful. He truly believes he can intimidate me with words. Let him talk. Let him make his collapse grander. Sofia's mind was cool, precise, and ready.

Sofia rose, her presence commanding the room. "Let this be a warning to all of you: nobody — nobody — messes with Sofia Gabriella Parker."

The room was shaken to its core. Partners hurried back to their offices, whispering nervously. The meeting was adjourned, but the memory of Sofia's power, her wrath, and her unshakable authority lingered in the air like a storm that had just passed.
