Chapter 63 - Final Verdict

After his emotions went haywire, Nēgus unleashed a massive wind-arrow attack upon Tuziku.

The arrow was roughly 100 meters in length and came crashing down toward Tuziku with terrifying force.

However, Tuziku also had an ace up his sleeve.

Tuziku instantly appeared in front of Nēgus and launched a powerful Spiral Wind attack that sent him flying.

As Tuziku gazed up at the sky, he noticed the giant wind-arrow slowly dispersing.

He then turned his attention back toward Nēgus and slowly walked toward him.

Cough! Cough!

Meanwhile, Nēgus coughed up a mouthful of blood as he lay on the ground in agony.

Im...possible...

There's no way an outsider like him managed to unlock the third form!

He glared at Tuziku in disbelief.

"Don't look at me like that," said Tuziku as he stood before Nēgus, looking down at him.

"W—what..."

Cough! Cough!

Nēgus coughed up another mouthful of blood.

"What... was that attack?" he asked.

Tuziku gazed at him in silence for a moment.

Then—

"It was a Hakashi attack that uses the third form..."

"I compress large quantities of powerful wind and release it in a spiral form," Tuziku explained.

"You should be thanking me, actually."

Tuziku let out a grin.

"Thanking... you?" Nēgus mumbled.

Tuziku nodded.

"If I hadn't held back my punch earlier, you would've felt almost three times the impact you received!"

He raised three fingers.

"The power from my punch, plus twice the power of my Spiral Wind, since you would've received the attack directly!"

Tuziku wore a confident smirk.

I wasn't able to learn any new attacks for the third form...

But thanks to that, I was able to further develop and control the one attack I already have!

"Impossible..."

"Impossible! Impossible! Impossible!"

"...IMPOSSIBLE!!" Nēgus snapped.

"Augh!" He groaned.

"In over the last century, no one has been able to unlock the Hakashi Technique's third form—"

"And yet you... you stupid outsider brat! You managed to unlock it?!"

He clenched his teeth.

"This isn't fair!"

Suddenly—

"That's enough, Nēgus!"

Prīōra approached them as Kutcher slowly followed behind.

"You've already lost. You're only embarrassing yourself more!" she taunted.

"So this is the real Nēgus, huh?" Kutcher said, gazing at him with pity.

Nēgus glared at them in silence.

"Kutcher, Prīōra..." Tuziku said with a smile.

"I guess that must mean you guys have finished things up with the villagers?"

"Of course we did!" Kutcher replied, raising a thumb.

Meanwhile, the villager who had hidden behind the rock had observed everything.

He had witnessed Nēgus' final attempt at victory.

He had also witnessed Tuziku's Spiral Wind after the revelation of his third form.

What's going on here...?

These guys are way too powerful!

Not to mention, that kid can use the Hakashi Technique's third form...

He gulped.

Then his gaze shifted toward Nēgus.

And the Chief...

No... Nēgus.

He remembered everything that had happened.

The mob.

The attack on Ryōkōjū.

The orders Nēgus had given them.

And now, he had witnessed Nēgus risk everything—including the lives of the villagers—for his own victory.

This entire time... he was only using us for his personal gain.

That bastard!

He clenched his fists.

Back with Tuziku and his crew...

"Tuziku... I had no idea you had gotten this powerful!" Prīōra gawked in awe.

"You guys saw all of that?" Tuziku scratched his head awkwardly.

"Did we? You were amazing, Tuziku!" Kutcher said excitedly.

However, suddenly—

"Mhmm!" Kutcher cleared his throat as he folded his arms.

"You're finally starting to look like a real Captain now!" he said, gazing at Tuziku with a proud grin.

Tuziku wore a silent grin.

Suddenly, his expression hardened as he turned toward Nēgus.

"Nēgus..."

Tuziku walked toward him as he lay helplessly on the ground.

"As a student of the old man and as Prīōra's Captain, I can never forgive yo for what you've done!"

He stopped in front of Nēgus.

"However, it's not my place to decide your punishment."

"So I'll offer you a suggestion..."

Tuziku folded his arms.

"Step down as the Chief of the village and confess your sins to the villagers!"

He wore a stern expression.

Nēgus smirked at him.

Cough! Cough!

"Never!" he grinned proudly.

Tuziku gazed at him in silence.

Suddenly—

"There's no need for all of that."

The villager who had been secretly observing them revealed himself.

Kutcher immediately turned toward him.

"You're... one of the men from the mob!"

"What are you doing here?!" He grabbed the hilt of his sword.

"Whoa, whoa... let's all calm down for a minute." The villager raised his arms in surrender.

"After the swordsman failed to knock me out, I decided to follow you guys and observe the battle."

"But after witnessing Nēgus' loss and hearing the truth about his sudden takeover as Chief..."

He clenched his fist.

"I realized that we were all being used!"

He turned toward Nēgus who lay on the floor on a pitiful state.

"Nēgus! You're a heartless bastard!"

"You were willing to send us to our graves just because of your stupid jealousy!" he said through gritted teeth.

"I'm going to expose you to the villagers for what you truly are!"

He pointed toward him.

Suddenly, he turned toward the trio and bowed his head in apology.

"On behalf of all the villagers, I'm truly sorry for everything we've put you three through!"

He raised his head.

"I'll head back to the village and expose this disgrace for what he truly is!"

The trio remained silent.

The villager turned and headed toward the village.

"Well, I guess that's settled," Tuziku mumbled.

"Now, all that's left is to figure out what to do with him."

The trio glared at Nēgus.

"...Why don't we tie him up and see what old man Ryōkōjū wants to do with him?" Kutcher suggested.

Suddenly, Tuziku remembered.

"The old man!"

Prīōra's expression turned pale.

"We have to hurry and treat his wounds!"

She immediately rushed toward the village.

"Tuziku, you go with Prīōra. I'll take Nēgus back to the village!" Kutcher insisted.

"Kutcher, are you sure?" Tuziku asked.

Kutcher nodded.

"Alright then. I'm counting on you!" said Tuziku as he ran off.

Kutcher turned and glanced toward Nēgus.

"Now then..."

"I guess I should take you back to the village!"

However, by this point, Nēgus had already passed out from the damage he had received against Tuziku.

"Oh! He passed out!" Kutcher scratched his head awkwardly.

A few moments later...

Tuziku finally arrived at the location in the village where he had left Ryōkōjū.

However, the old man was nowhere to be seen.

Where is he?

Where's the old man?!

Tuziku began to panic.

However, just then—

"Tuziku, over here!" Prīōra's voice called out.

Tuziku turned his head and noticed Prīōra standing inside a nearby house.

"Prīōra!"

He rushed toward her.

"Where's the old man?"

"He'll be fine," she replied flatly.

Tuziku gazed at her in confusion.

"What do you mean he'll be fine?"

Prīōra pointed inside the house.

"Apparently, after that one guy came back and explained everything to the villagers, they immediately took him to the local doctor."

"So he's being treated as we speak!" she said with a grin.

Suddenly, Tuziku's expression lit up.

"Thank goodness he's alright!" Tuziku rejoiced.

However—

Splssshh!

The wounds Tuziku had sustained during the battle suddenly began bleeding again.

"Tuziku, are you alright?!" Prīōra shouted.

Cough!

Tuziku suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood as the wound in his stomach began bleeding heavily.

"Crap! I guess the wind vortex I used to stop the wound from bleeding has finally disappeared!"

"I feel... so... weak..."

His eyelids slowly began to close.

Thud!

Suddenly, Tuziku collapsed to the ground.
