"Are you going back?"
Artoria Stark only waited for two minutes before Galacta floated in front of her. Looking at the somewhat reluctant Galacta, Artoria Stark knew that Galacta intended to go home this time and had come to say goodbye. Artoria Stark asked Galacta curiously. She was curious about Galacta's choice; hadn't she been dead set against leaving at first? Seeing her dad this time, she was still planning to go home obediently. It seems the great 'philosopher's' law of 'true fragrance' is the most reliable after all! Because it was telepathy, Artoria Stark hadn't heard the conversation between Galacta and her father, so she hoped Galacta would tell her the reason.
"Father is doing this for my own good. He has collected quite a bit of energy, which will keep me from going hungry for a long time. Most importantly, this trip back will only take two days. As soon as the energy storage is finished, I will come back, Artoria Stark."
Looking at Artoria Stark's inquisitive gaze, Galacta sighed and said, feeling a bit lost. She really couldn't bear to part with the delicacies on Earth... Cough, cough! She couldn't bear to part with Artoria Stark. Moreover, the child was here; she really didn't want to leave. If it hadn't been for her dad saying at the end that it would only take one day to finish, she really wouldn't have agreed to go back with him, giving up on watching over her soon-to-be 'born' child, as well as Artoria Stark and the delicious food.
"It's okay. Talk to him more; after all, he is your father."
After hearing Galacta's words, Artoria Stark glanced at Galan, who was standing there waiting quietly. This guy still had a bit of human touch. It seems that after having children, no matter the race, different feelings will emerge. Take this cold Celestial, for example—he has eaten countless Planets. Didn't those Planets have life forms? Surely they did, but they were still ignored by him and swallowed directly into his belly. If Galacta hadn't spoken up, Galan probably wouldn't have changed so much. He likely came to Earth absolutely for the sake of eating, rather than something as simple as just taking his daughter away.
"Then I'll go with my father first. I'll be back very soon, Artoria Stark."
After listening to Artoria Stark, Galacta nodded. Even if Artoria Stark hadn't said anything, she had now changed her view of her socially awkward father. It turned out he didn't not care about her; he just didn't know how to communicate. During her long time on Earth, Galacta had learned quite a lot. Although her values were different from Earthlings, some truths were universal. Take today's incident, for example; she originally didn't think her father would come looking for her. Even if the Silver Surfer had gone back and told her father, Galacta still thought her father wouldn't come. Only now did she realize she was wrong; it wasn't that her father didn't care about her, but that this father simply didn't know how to express himself. She would definitely have a good talk with her father.
"It's considered resolved. S.H.I.E.L.D. is so slow!"
Artoria Stark waved at Galacta and turned to fly toward Earth. Just as she was about to approach the Moon, Artoria Stark saw a huge spaceship break through from Earth and fly toward the place where she had come from. Looking at the familiar emblem on the hull, wasn't that a S.H.I.E.L.D. ship? Did they only set out just now? I went to such great lengths to solve the problem, and you guys just sat back and reaped the benefits. It was truly infuriating. Artoria Stark was speechless at S.H.I.E.L.D.'s slow-motion response; the matter was already resolved, and only then did they show up. This was exactly like the Police who were always late in the movies.
"Forget it, ignore them."
Hiding on the Moon, Artoria Stark waited for the S.H.I.E.L.D. ship to leave her line of sight before flying directly toward Earth. She didn't really like dealing with government organizations; once entangled, many troublesome things would follow one after another, which was very annoying. For someone like Artoria Stark who was lazy to her very soul, she was absolutely unwilling to do any extra labor and didn't want to be press-ganged into service. So, she could only hide. If she couldn't afford to provoke them, couldn't she at least avoid them? No one could shake Artoria Stark's determination to be lazy.
"You kid, how is the Space Fortress doing?"
After spending the whole morning happily playing with Mordred, Howard didn't care about what was happening in outer space at all. After Galactus entered the Solar System, he and Tony had discovered this incomparably huge figure together. The spaceship he had prepared for the family was already finished; if any accident happened, they could leave Earth. But the situation with the Space Fortress didn't seem particularly good; after all, it was a major project and wasn't even one-third finished. In particular, the giant's route seemed to have passed by the Space Fortress that he and Tony were building. He was now very anxious about whether the Space Fortress was still in a safe state, but he couldn't let the child know about his anxiety. Howard pulled Tony to the side and asked very seriously.
"There's no problem with Jarvis. When we were building it, we chose to excavate a shelter inside the Planet, so it wasn't affected at all. After all, that giant didn't destroy any Planets. Except for the signal interference caused by nuclear radiation, which made Jarvis's connection intermittent, everything is in a normal state."
Having long anticipated that his dad would ask him, Tony had been paying attention to Jarvis's reports. The results were quite good, at least enough for Tony to breathe a sigh of relief as he sipped his fine wine, while taking the opportunity to tease his dad. He hadn't expected that the giant didn't seem to have destroyed a single Planet; could this giant be a 'good' giant? Thinking of this, Tony laughed to himself. If it were a good giant, it wouldn't have come here suddenly. Since it had come here, it must have had its own purpose—perhaps it was just passing through, or perhaps it had come to 'forage.'
"That's good, that's good. Although those things took a lot of effort to send up there, they aren't worth agonizing over. The main thing is not to delay the construction of the Space Fortress. Try to be as fast as possible! Tony, I feel like the world is going to get more and more chaotic."
Hearing Tony's 'good news,' the heavy stone in Howard's heart finally fell. He picked up a donut from the table and took a bite, saying to Tony that the object worth hundreds of millions was not something of much value in the eyes of either Howard or Tony. As long as it didn't delay the construction speed of the space fortress they were designing, everything else was fine. After taking a bite of the donut, Howard was still watching the deployment of S.H.I.E.L.D. through the image transmitted by his glasses. Although the image transmitted by these glasses, which were connected to satellites in space, was not very clear, it was still possible to tell that S.H.I.E.L.D. had mobilized a lot of forces.
"Kid, take some time to see Pepper. She's pregnant; you can't let her stay alone!"
(O_o)??
At this moment, Tony's heart felt as if thousands of alpacas were galloping across a grassland. What was going on? What happened? Where was he? Pepper was pregnant? He was going to be a dad? Countless thoughts flooded his mind in an instant, making Tony feel like his head was about to explode. Such a 'good news' indeed made his mind go blank for a moment, and he didn't even know what to say.
"Are you sure? She's pregnant? How many months?"
Seeing Tony's reaction, Howard understood instantly. This kid didn't even know he was about to become a Father. What a confused guy, not even knowing such an important matter. He originally wanted to slap Tony awake, but looking at Tony now, he looked exactly like Howard had when he found out he was going to be a Father. Suddenly, Howard felt a strange sense of familiarity. Tony, having recovered from his thoughts, grabbed his Father's shoulders and asked frantically; he was acting like a madman now.
"Why don't you just go ask her yourself about this?"
The momentary urge to explain vanished instantly. Howard pushed Tony's hands away with a forced smile. This brat, so inconsiderate, Father's waist is almost broken by you. Howard also understood why Pepper hadn't told Tony; this guy still had the mindset of a little kid and wasn't stable at all. After hearing Howard's words, Tony ran out of the room, full of anxiety, and drove to Artoria's Villa. Pepper had been staying with his sister recently.
