Chapter 159 - Chapter 159: Changes on Earth

"Boom~!"

"We might have big trouble, friends."

Nick widened his solitary eye, looking at the uncontrollable situation. According to the video feed, a massive object was rapidly surging out of the ground toward the surface. This was no joke; judging by its speed, it would soon land in the city of Manhattan, New York.

"Are you sure it will definitely land in Manhattan?"

This was no laughing matter. As a city with many tourist attractions, Manhattan received at least tens of thousands of out-of-town visitors daily. Manhattan was also one of the wealthiest cities in the United States, and many retired senior officials lived there. If this monster landed, he could forget about being the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. The best solution was to evacuate everyone beforehand, but if this intelligence proved wrong, it wouldn't just be about losing his position; whether he kept his head was another question. Nick consulted the nearby technical staff again to confirm the accuracy of the information.

"It's already too late, Director."

The person being questioned looked away from the screen, unable to bear watching. He tapped a few keys, and a new image appeared on the screen. Currently, on the main thoroughfare of Manhattan City, a huge mound quickly pushed open the asphalt road. Lizard-like creatures scurried out of the mound, each monster over two meters tall. But that wasn't the most important thing; a gigantic claw emerged from the mound, worsening the entire situation. Now, Manhattan City was filled with panicked residents desperately trying to leave, their terrified screams shattering the city's tranquility.

"Awooo~!"

The giant monster's head burst out of the ground. Its enormous vertical pupils flashed with anger as it let out a roar toward the sky. The glass on the surrounding high-rise buildings shattered from the piercing sound. Nick saw all these scenes clearly through the screen, but it meant he was one step too late; the battle within the city was now unavoidable.

"Use the new weapons to smash that hole—that's no longer important. That thing is the head of these monsters. We must quickly evacuate the ordinary citizens still in the city. We must act fast."

"Notify the Avengers to assemble in Manhattan."

As expected of someone who had been the Special Agent head for so many years, Nick's mind was clear and undisturbed by anxiety. He quickly issued orders and turned to walk toward the plane. He needed to reach Manhattan quickly to assess the situation. The Special Agents swiftly retreated. A massive explosion sounded, shaking the ground. Normally, the people of New York would feel a slight tremor, but now their attention was entirely drawn to the monsters on their television screens.

"Godzilla? Not at all. It doesn't have the majesty of Brother La."

The Clone currently sitting in the office silently complained while watching the footage reported by the Saturday sub-system. This creature was extremely ugly, essentially a magnified giant lizard, completely lacking the majestic dominance of the King of Monsters, Godzilla. But what exactly was this creature? Artoria's Clone couldn't find any trace of it in her Remembrance. However, seeing that it didn't look very strong, Artoria's Clone instantly lost interest.

"What's up, Old Brother?"

Having lost interest in the newly appeared monster, the Clone began to prepare to review materials again. However, someone worried about his sister started video calling her again. The Clone reluctantly accepted Tony's video request. Even if he thought with his toes, the Clone could guess what Tony meant by calling her at this time.

"This time, don't go. Listen to me, Artoria."

Tony, clearly already in his battle suit, instructed Artoria while flying rapidly. Seeing her sitting quietly in the office, Tony felt a slight relief. His sister had finally come to her senses and stopped bothering with those awful things. He had also seen the monster and the smaller monsters through Jarvis earlier; their piled-up appearance was too disgusting. Even Tony, who didn't have trypophobia, felt a bit uncomfortable, just like when he saw the Chitaurri. It was better not to let girls participate in such matters.

"Don't worry, big brother, your sister won't appear on this battlefield."

The Clone rolled her eyes at Tony and patted her chest, assuring him. Although Tony still felt something was off, he had already arrived at the scene and was no longer talking to the Clone. After a quick reminder, Tony hung up the call with the Clone. Looking at the now black screen, the Clone showed a mischievous smile.

"The more you tell me not to go, the more I want to go. Can't I just use a different appearance? Luckily, none of you know I can use Transformation Jutsu, otherwise, it would have caused a huge uproar."

Muttering, the Clone left her office.

"I'm sorry, Miss Artoria, for troubling you with such a small matter. As a guest, it truly shames me to ask for your help. I'm really sorry. What did he say?"

Through a brief telepathic exchange, Artoria communicated with Black Bolt. Black Bolt hoped Artoria could help the Inhumans. After careful consideration, Artoria agreed to Black Bolt's request. Taking out her Adamantium knife, Artoria began a magnificent performance. Due to Artoria's powerful participation, and Ronan the Accuser not being present in person, the small fry were quickly cleared out. Medusa then conveyed Black Bolt's words to Artoria.

"Uncontrolled abilities are not a good thing either, I understand."

Of course, she knew why Black Bolt asked for her help. Black Bolt's ability was simply too powerful; he couldn't control its destructive force himself. One loud roar could potentially destroy Attilan. In that case, it was better to fight the enemy in close combat with a weapon. She felt 120% sympathy for Black Bolt; uncontrolled power and incomplete power were worlds apart. Uncontrolled power meant daring not to use it for fear of harming one's own people. Artoria's power was incomplete, but she could at least control her strength, which Black Bolt couldn't compare to.

"How did you know?"

Medusa was very surprised that Artoria could pinpoint Black Bolt's problem so accurately. They hadn't told Artoria about Black Bolt's ability, yet Artoria knew there was an issue with it.

"From Black Bolt's appearance, he seems to be a king who loves his people. But for such a king to not dare to use his power to save his people, there must be a deep reason. Either his ability cannot be activated, or its destructive power is beyond his control. He doesn't look injured, so it must be the latter."

Artoria spoke with her eyes wide open, fabricating a plausible reason. These words also subtly praised Black Bolt. Medusa was both surprised and impressed, and her attitude towards Artoria softened considerably. It seemed Artoria had inadvertently left a very good impression on the Queen.
