The three looked at the God of Thunder slumped on the table with lips like two sausages, then at Kirei standing to the side, and then at the bubbling red magma-like Mapo Tofu on the table. For a moment, they were stuck in a difficult choice: to eat or not to eat. If they ate it, they would surely end up like Thor. That guy, who was as strong as an ox, was now lying on the table, his status 'unknown.' Just then, a rainbow light flashed in the distance outside the building, and several figures wearing armor and carrying cold weapons appeared in the desert.
"Guests have arrived."
Feeling the figures quickly approaching, Artoria wasn't surprised at all. Heimdall's eyes could see anywhere in the Nine Realms, except for a few special places. This spot she chose was about ten kilometers from the residential area, specifically to avoid collateral damage. After choosing the location, Artoria had bought a decent-looking tavern, then used several clones with Monstrous Strength to dig the entire tavern out and seal it into a scroll before moving it to its current position. Fortunately, it was dark, and the building's automatic generator didn't affect the power supply.
If one saw this building in daylight, it would be covered in cracks—marks left by the violent relocation. Thus, within a five-mile radius, only Artoria's tavern stood there. Someone would find it soon enough; unless they were blind, they were bound to find it.
"Thor, are you here?"
A short man with a big belly shouted with his loud voice as soon as he entered, without even looking.
"There are only a few people here, do you need to shout? Isn't that him right there?"
Being a girl, Sif took one look and found the familiar figure. Although he was face down, given the food and water, it looked like he'd had too much to drink.
"Tho... what the hell? Who are you?"
Another man who looked quite similar to an East Asian stepped forward to wake his friend. When he propped him up and saw the bright red face and giant sausage lips, he was instantly startled. He subconsciously threw a punch, sending the man flying. Poor Thor, still unconscious, smashed through a pane of glass and flew out the window.
"..."
Artoria, transformed into Kirei, watched this scene speechlessly. Even if he looked like this, you're his best friends—how did you not recognize him?
"Midgardian, where did Thor the God of Thunder go?"
"Didn't he just get punched flying by you?"
Looking at the guy questioning her, Artoria complained inwardly.
"Wait a minute, the one who flew out really seemed to be Thor."
As soon as these words were spoken, the face of the man who had just questioned Artoria twitched. It seemed he was the one who had punched the guy out!
"What happened? I remember seeing Hell? I even fought hundreds of rounds with the demons in Hell."
With swollen lips and one black eye, Thor slowly woke up while sitting on a chair. He opened his eyes to see familiar faces.
"Why are you guys here? My mouth hurts so much, and why can't I open this eye?"
After waking up, Thor spoke while touching his mouth and eye.
"Listen to me, Thor, you must go back immediately..."
"Father, why? Why do we have to stay so far away?"
"Eavesdropping on other people's family matters is not a good habit, young man."
At a distance from the Asgardians, Artoria, in the guise of Kirei, led Jane and the others to the other side to avoid listening to their conversation. The curious boy asked Artoria about it, but Artoria spoke sternly. She really didn't want these so-called 'protagonists' to get involved in a supernatural war. Jane, in particular, was quite kind; why should such a good girl be dragged into a life-and-death battle? Even if this was a supernatural world, survival was a major problem for those without supernatural abilities.
"Perhaps you are right, but exploring the unknown is exactly our responsibility and dream as scientists."
Artoria had underestimated the death-seeking... oh no, the exploratory spirit of scientists in this world. Artoria looked at Jane and stepped aside; no one had the right to block a path someone chose for themselves. Jane expressed her gratitude for Artoria's understanding and quickly walked over to the Asgardians.
"Make your decision! Because your enemy has arrived, Thor the God of Thunder."
Feeling that murderous intent descending nearby, Artoria quickly left. Soon, a beam of destruction blasted the entire shop into rubble.
"This place can be considered the best viewing spot. Great! All I'm missing is some sunflower seeds and a Coke."
Finding a distant spot that wouldn't be affected, Artoria dispelled her transformation, and the voluptuous, beautiful blonde woman reappeared. Through her supernatural Dragon Eyes, Artoria saw everything very clearly and analyzed the Destroyer's output. Loki, after all, was not Odin; he couldn't bring out the full power of this Destroyer at all. However, Artoria also had a suspicion. Odin had lived for so long and was definitely clever enough; the real Destroyer likely wouldn't be in Odin's vault at all. These mass-produced ones were probably just replicas.
"The world really can't be judged by comics and movies. Relying too much on the settings won't work."
Watching the Destroyer beat the Asgardian quartet like they were children, Artoria shook her head. This level of strength was suicide against the Celestials. This Destroyer was a mass-produced replica, but even so, its metal made Artoria quite envious. It could self-repair and was excellent at conducting magic; she was very satisfied with it.
"The Dwarves are truly a special race."
She remembered the King of the Dwarves Thor met on the dwarf Planet in the movies. Compared to the King of the Dwarves, Thor's 1.98-meter height was like a child's. This 'dwarf' was not short at all; his height was comparable to Thanos'. But the weapons and various metals created there, including Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet, were forged there. The Stormbreaker that wounded Thanos was a super artifact level weapon. Just thinking about it made her a bit excited, wanting to go rob... ahem, pay a visit. According to the timeline, Thanos should already be on the dwarf Planet, forcing the King of the Dwarves to forge the Infinity Gauntlet, right?
In the Battle of New York, the reason Loki held the Mind Stone was likely because the Gauntlet wasn't finished yet. Regardless, that thing wasn't something that could be made in a short time.
"It's my turn to take the stage."
Seeing the four guys defeated, Artoria put on black clothes and a Hassan mask. Holding two watermelon knives (Magnetic Storm·Zan), she rushed toward the battlefield.
