Third person point of view
Christian turned to the side and saw Oliver with his head lowered. " Are you fine ? " Oliver looked up. He managed a small smile. " Just... thinking about some things. It is a little overwhelming ". Christian also let out a breath and nodded. " Indeed. But if something bothers you, you can tell me. I will help you if I can ".
Oliver smiled and nodded. " Thank you ". " It is nothing ". Oliver let out a breath in relief. There was someone to share his burdens. He smiled at the thought. The elders stopped talking when it was finally lunch time. " Let's have lunch ". Christian's parents led Oliver's parents to the dining area.
The elders sat beside each other. Oliver went along with Christian and Jacob's family. Christian pulled the chair for Oliver. Oliver smiled and sat down. " Thank you ". Christian smiled and sat down on the chair beside. Christian's family prepared a sumptuous feast. Oliver was a bit surprised. Christian helped serve him food from time to time.
Oliver's heart also felt full along with his stomach. Overall, they all had a nice lunch together. After lunch, they were able to reach a conclusion for certain things. " Since we roughly estimated the date, let's start with the cards. We will look into it and send you the details. You can check them and select the ones you like ". Christian's mother told them and they nodded.
" I will also settle things with the venue but you need to look into the decorations by yourself. You should also go for the suits ". " But mom, wouldn't it be better to settle on something for the suits first ? Then they can look into the decoration based on their suits ". Sophia said and they all thought it was a good idea.
" I know a good designer. I will ask them for an appointment. You can go then ". Sophia solved it and they were all very happy to hear that. " Oh, I just remembered ". Jacob said, catching everyone's attention. " I have a friend who is in the jewelry business. I will talk to him and you can get the rings customized. It will definitely be faster. That will do right ? " " Very good ".
They settled the most important ones. " This is the order of things but you guys need to wait for our signal. And then get into action ". They all laughed at Christian's mother's words. The elders went back to talking among themselves. Jacob leaned closer and nudged Christian with his elbow. Christian turned to him.
Jacob leaned closer to his ear. " Take him to your room or somewhere around the house. He will be able to relax a little. Why are you so clueless ? " Christian also thought it was a good idea and nodded. He turned to Oliver. " I will show you around. Want to go ? " Oliver nodded. They both stood up and left under the other's teasing looks.
Christian took him to the garden first and they walked around a bit. Oliver definitely relaxed and his lips turned upwards automatically. Christian told him about the house a bit. He then took him upstairs to his room. Oliver relaxed when he sat on the bed. " Ugh ". He sat like a statue in front of the elders with his back stiff but now he could finally relax.
Christian sat down beside him. " Will you be able to make time ? " Oliver asked, pulling his legs up to cross them. " I can adjust my schedule. And if possible we can go for the appointments in the evening ". Oliver nodded. " But you would be busy at that time right ? " Christian asked, referring to the cafe.
Oliver shrugged. " It is not a big deal. They will manage fine as long as I finish the preparations in the morning hours ". Christian nodded. Oliver observed Christian's side profile. " Do you have sight ? " Christian nodded his head. " But it is not high so they look almost like reading glasses ". Oliver nodded.
" They suit you though. You look very handsome ". Christian smiled. " Thank you ". " How long have you been wearing them for ? " Christian's smile froze but he reacted quickly. " Around 3 years ". Oliver didn't notice it and nodded. He finally looked around the room. This room still held its character.
" This room feels different from your house ". Oliver commented and turned to Christian. Christian also glanced around. " Yeah. I actually don't stay here much now. So there are not many things there. It was still a bit similar when I did. And I experimented a lot for my house ". Oliver nodded. They just chatted about some random things for a while.
Oliver checked the time and they should leave soon. " Let's go back down. We might leave in a while ". " Alright ". They went back down. And Oliver's family did leave after some minutes. Christian also went back home after dinner. He let out a sigh and slept on the couch. He put his glasses aside and rubbed his temples. He slowly got up and took a shower before falling asleep.
