Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

She made her way to her brother's room just as instructed and rummaged through her clothes, but much to her unfortunate luck the only 'shimmering dress' she had was for when the country club had a cocktail party and she had left it back in that the house. Unltimately she had nothing to wear.

Samantha's style was more formal elegant rather than free and diverse like what she had the impression party dresses were like, well for those types of parties. The ones she attended had suits and fancy dresses alog with quiet conversation and some classic music number they all pretended to like. As such she was lost in such matters.

Though she had a clear vision of the outfit expected of her, she decided against a dress and opted for making a two piece. Samantha had always been a crafty girl growing up, a skill she seemed to have forgotten for a while, but was now about to use. She looked around at her clothes, her eyes landing on a red tank top which she bunched up so that it sat folded neatly above her belly button and took one of her black pencil skirts then made it a mini fitted skirt. Samantha chose to wear her brunette hair down, mascara, eyeliner and cherry red lips and well black heels with a matching mini purse.

She took a look at herself in the mirror and was quite taken aback by the image that stared back at her. "I look this young, huh?" She pondered the look, Samantha had not seem the look of younth in her features in a long time that she forgot that she was in fact in her early twenties. She found that she could not turn her eyes from the mirror, she liked what she saw, this young and free version of herself seemed to lift her spirits more than she expected.

Finally moving way from the mirror, she stepped out to the living room where Sebastian was waiting, on his phone, wearing a black button-down shirt and a dark pair of jeans. She could not help but think, honestly never thought a man was capable of rocking jeans, but damn Sebastian proved me wrong. To be fair on her, Samantha was always surrounded by pristine suits.

He finally tore his eyes from his phone and took her in, all in. "Wow" was all he said. He stepped closer and broke his silence, "You clean up pretty well. I almost did not recognise you."

She smiled at him, her cheeks flushing a tint pink, "So do you. It feels different to see you with your clothes on." she teased.

Samantha expected him to retort but he said nothing, they just stood there for a moment breathing each other in. A sense of awkwardness filling her at being so thoroughly observed, shifting her gaze down, she asked, "Why are we all dressed up?"

"I'm taking you somewhere exciting." He answered, not once letting his gaze move away from her form.

"Which is where exactly?"

"Why don't you come along with me and find out."

"That is the plan." she said finaly looking as him. Woah, he is handsome. She thought everytime her eyes landed on his face.

He held his hand out in front of him and said, "Ladies first."

Finally snapping herself out of it, she gave him a teasing smile, "Ladies first? You sure you not just using that as an excuse to check my ass out as I walk in front of you?"

He matched her smile with a wicked grin and these words, "Why can't it be both?", and a wink. Now that combo had her speechless and convincing herself to bite her tongue next time.

They took the lift which landed them in teh lobby of teh building and they moved to the door where a valet was greeted him and gave him his car keys, "We're taking my car." He said. Then He drove them down the night lit road to a night club, a long line could be seen all the way to the parking lot, drunk sweaty people walking out singing from the dark alley.

He held her hand and led her to the front entrance where the long line was. He walked up to the bouncer and just nodded, and before she knew it they were inside, the loud music tearing through her ears. He navigated them through the crowd to the bar, he exchanged a few words with the bartender and then led them up to a less crowded area, with two bouncers and a staircase. They too let them pass. He stopped and spun her around and let her go up the stairs first with him following behind. This whole experience was knew to her so Samantha had decided to let her tensions loose and let Sebastian be her guide as well as her chaperone. She somehow felt that she could let herself trust him that much.

"Your skirt is short, so stay close." he spoke in her ear which sent a shiver down her spine. "I would not like them seeing what is up my date's skirt." She said nothing to those words but did move in reflex to use her hand to try and pull the skirt against her skin.

Reaching the top, his hand let go of her and she found herself instantly missing his touch. No. She scolded herself. But then his hands were on either side of her waist, she immediately felt a hot rush of mixed emotions. She was about to scold herself yet again but then remembered that she had not been held by a man like this in a very long time. The thought let a whole different kind of mixed emotion settle in her heart.

He used his hands to guide her to a private room where he let go of her. Samantha almost lost herself and asked him to leave them there but she shook some sense into herself. Was I really that touch starved. She could not help but wonder.

"Take a sit, I'm having a meeting with someone for a few minutes then, I'm taking you down to the main floor to dance. All I ask from you is to just sit there and look pretty until I'm done, then I'll give you my attention, okay? Can you do that small favour for me?"

"Yeah sure, but can I at least get a drink?"

"Already on its way, now a little warning; this guy can be a little too flirtatious and can be too much so beware."

Samantha gave him a nod as acknowledgement of his warning, when she thought about it she was not sure she minded, but she supposed she would have to wait and see, if it was something she could handle.

The waiter walked in with their drinks, three glasses: two glasses of whiskey neat and a cosmopolitan, which she presumed was hers. She would have been offended with the sexist assumption but then again, she has only ever drank wine and well champagne. She knew nothing of alcohol beyond that.

The waiter placed a whiskey in front of Sebastian and the margarita in front of her then shot her a wink and left, which kind of left Samantha speechless and lost. She has never been so openly hit on before. Not that she was not attractive enough to attract such attention but rathe that she bearly went anywhere, where she would be exposed to such.

"Looks like I'm not the only one showing interest in you tonight." Sebastian said with a quirky grin on his face.

Samantha was so lost in her mind that it took a second for her to comprehend what he just said, "Well, I am a smoke show, I impressed even myself." she responded.

He let out a chuckle andparted his lips to speak but then his guest walked in. The man had very similar facial features to Sebastian, in fact he was just as good looking as Sebastian and just as well sculptured. The woman felt a little flushed being in the presence of such breath-taking men. Sebastian got up from his sit and greeted his guest with a simple handshake. "Nice to see you man." The man said.

"Same." Sebastian responded.

"Hey man, who's the broad?", he asked.

Sebastian took a look at Samantha, smiled, and answered, "My date, be nice."

"Hey, how can I not be nice in the presence of such glorious beauty." His words had me giddy. "So, Seb you going introduce us?" He asked

"Sure... Samantha Matthews this is Christian Mount, my brother." Sebastian introduced them, reluctantly so.

Christian walked up to Samantha, took her hand, and charmingly kissed the back of it and ironed the interaction with the words, "It's a great pleasure to meet such a breath-taking woman."

"It's a great pleasure to meet such a charming man." she said fluttered. He seemed a manageable flirt, she thought.

He put on a smirk on his face, similar to the one Sebastian usually has, they really did resemble each otehr that much. "If you think I'm charming now, wait until I have you alone in my room." He spoke.

Oh, I spoke too soon. "That was a bit much." she murmured.

"Okay that's enough man, let's get to business." Sebastian said seeing her sudden discomfort.

"Oh, lighten up baby brother, I'm just messing around with her. Besides how can you expect me to concentrate when her sexy body's calling out to me?" he said with a little chuckle.

Sebastian gave his brother a glare which prompted the brother to take a sit and be serious. They started talking about shipments and merchandise that Samantha thought it best to not pay attention to because it was none of her business. Besides she married to a businessman; sitting, looking pretty, and phasing out business talk was her speciality.

She had zoned out their conversation so mcuh so that she did not even notice when they were done. The brothers both got up greeting each other their goodbyes. Christian gave her a glance with a grin, "See you around." winked and walked out.

Sebastian, on the other hand, let out a sigh and gave her an apologetic look, "I'm sorry about my brother's behaviour." He said running his hands a little embarrassed through his thick brown hair.

Samantha got up, walked to him, and smiling, "Well, you can make it up to me by keeping your promise of taking me to the dance floor."

He smiled back, taking her hand, and led her back down to the main floor. They took steps to the center of the dance floor, neither making the first move. So, she took his arms and wrapped them around her waist and started to move to the music. Samantha had to wonder for a second where all that confidence came from. She felt flushed by the move she just pulled. But chose to drown in the sway of her hips, her arms snaking up his chest to rest around his neck. They had a awkward start but soon found their rhythm.

Swallowed by the song, it felt like it was only them on the dance floor, if only fro a second. With his arm webbing around her waist, her hands running through his hair, our bodies moving in symphony. Samantha stared at him, his eyes too on her and taken by the moment, They kissed.

The kiss was soft and tender at first but grew lustful and hungry the longer it lasted. He slowed it down then broke it off as soon as his lips left hers, she yearned for more. The kiss left her breathless, buzzing, and speechless. Oh, she need more. Or to calm down she was not sure anymore.

He stared at her for a second, reading the wanton look on her face and seemed to decide for her that she need to cool down. He offered me a drink, to which she responded with a head nod. He led her to the bar and ordered the same drinks as before. He could not help but think that if he let thing keep going the way they did, her brother would in fact kill him and he would not even blame him because he would have very much deserved it.

"Hey, why the Cosmopolitan ?" she asked.

"Well, I assumed it's something you'd enjoy drinking." He answered.

"Because I'm a woman?"

"No. because it speaks to your personality, it's all fruity, remind me of you."

She looked at him and gave a eye rolled at the line, "That's a little cheesy but I'll take it." she said, "But what if I want to do shots?"

"Can you even handle shots?"

"Well, I won't know until I try."

"You poor thing." He gave her the same look he did before asking her to get dress for the club, that look of pity. "All I'll say is don't drink too much. We wouldn't want your brother killing me."

"True, so take me back to the dance floor."

He glanced at her as he downed his drink and swung her off the chair then they were back on to the dance floor. They dance till they were ready to go home.

Standing at the door of Bri's room with Sebastian rightt in front of her, "Thanks for taking me out tonight, I had fun, something I forgot existed." Samantha said smiling at him.

"It was my pleasure." He responded. She leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek then wished him goodnight.

The next morning, Samnatha woke up and took a nice long peach scented bath followed by an outfit different from her usual outfit. She felt she need some sort of chnage, even if it was a small one. She then made her way to the kitchen to make the boys breakfast and just happened to found Brian in the kitchen already munching on cereal.

"Good morning." She greeted.

"Oh, look who's finally up." He mocked.

"What?", She asked.

"It's just that you never sleep 'til 9."

"I had a long night." She stated just as Sebastian walked still in his outfit from last night.

"Looks like you're not the only one." Brian remarks.

She looked a Sebastian and wished him good morning, then replied to Brian, "Yeah, Seb took me out last night."

"Took you out?" Bri asked.

"Yeah, we went out clubbing." she answered with an innocent smile.

Brian turned to face his friend with a look of total disapproval. "Hey dude, what the hell? You took my married sister to a night club!" he freaked.

"Bri it's not his fault; I wanted to go." She intercepted.

The still clearly tired Sebastian replied with a yawn, "Look man I had to. Her life's sad and boring, she needed to experience something exciting. So, I did her a favour, and you should be thanking me."

"Sad and boring really?" She directed at Sebstain, "But he is right Bri plus, you said it yourself that I need to go out more and party, you know, experience what twenty-year-olds do." she added.

"Yeah, I did but I meant with people in their early twenties, not late twenties." He said looking at Sebastian. "And...and people your ... gender..."

"Excuse me?" she asked bewildered. "Are you telling me that I can't have a male friend? And who the heck do you think you are telling me who I can and cannot be friends with."

"I'm your older brother. And as your older brother, it's my responsibility to look after you and make sure you don't make the mistake of pairing up with the wrong crowd."

"Well, for your information brother, you lost that responsibility the moment you let mom and dad sell me out to the Matthews." she lashed out at him. "In fact, Sebastian you have a lunch date with me. And hey if he bothers you about it, tell me and I'll set him straight." her last words directed at Sebastian.

The she stormed out anger visible in her steps. Leaving the two of them behind.

Brian gave Sebastian a look, "This is all your fault. I told to leave her be." and he too walked out.

"Okay. What did I do?"
