Chapter 101 - Chapter 101: Mothers' Worries

Listening to her wife Brilliant Radiance's half-joking, half-serious evaluation of their daughter as a "player," Swift Stride let out a deep sigh, her face etched with concern.

"Rather than being 'emotionally abundant'..." Swift Stride rubbed her temples, her tone shifting to a more practical anxiety, "I'm more worried about our daughter's physical health."

As former active-duty Uma Musume themselves, they knew all too well the immense power hidden within their slender bodies, as well as the incredibly hot and persistent emotions and desires that, once ignited, were hard to extinguish.

That was certainly not on the level of an average teenage girl's crush.

"Honestly." Swift Stride couldn't help but clutch her head in complaint, as if trying to soothe a headache. "Does Myriad Dreams chew gum all day just to numb the nerves that perceive emotions?"

"With such obvious romantic signals directed at her, how can she not notice a single thing?"

She began counting on her fingers.

"Seiun Sky, Yaeno Muteki, Rice Shower, plus that silver-haired girl from America... that's four already! Four!"

Brilliant Radiance nodded gloomily, a cloud of worry hanging over her brow.

"Yes... and our little Myriad Dreams already has those bad habits of staying up late and training recklessly. No matter how good her physical foundation is, she can't handle being worn down like this."

"If she's taken on by those four... fire-passionate Uma Musume in turns... or all at—"

She couldn't even bring herself to imagine the scene, her voice trembling slightly.

"How... how could her body possibly handle it? This is getting out of hand!"

The thought of their daughter's health— and even her career— being affected by complex relationships (and the subsequent physical exertion) made both parents' hearts tighten.

"Then... what should we do?" Brilliant Radiance looked helplessly at Swift Stride. "We can't exactly interfere in the children's love lives directly, can we? Besides, Myriad Dreams seems to... be enjoying herself quite a bit?"

Even if she herself seemed completely unaware of the gravity of the situation.

Swift Stride pondered for a moment, ultimately letting out an even deeper sigh of resignation.

She patted Radiance's shoulder, her voice full of a sense of fatalism.

"Sigh... in the end, these are the choices and fates of the young people. As parents, forcing an intervention might just make things worse."

"Their feelings are sincere and passionate, as long as they don't hurt each other, we can only respect it."

She paused, her eyes revealing a mother's affection mixed with a hint of "giving up".

"What we can do now is probably just... support her silently, and then..."

She seemed to come to a firm resolution.

"Find a way to send Myriad Dreams some gifts to help supplement her body and enhance her... well... resistance and recovery power."

Hearing this, Brilliant Radiance was stunned for a moment before catching her partner's drift.

A wry, "cry-laughing" expression crossed her face.

What was this? Tacitly accepting their daughter starting a harem and then planning ahead for her sustainable development?

"I suppose... that's all we can do."

Brilliant Radiance accepted the reality helplessly.

"I'll go contact some familiar nutritionists and herbalists right away to find some effective yet gentle tonic recipes. Also, we need to prepare more things to help with sleep and calming the nerves... Sigh, as a mother, the worrying never ends..."

And so, the two parents, far away in their hometown and worried sick over their daughter's love life and health, reached a consensus after a struggle of shock, worry, and helplessness.

Since they couldn't stop it, they would support her with everything they had (and secretly feed her supplements) to ensure their precious daughter could sturdily... survive this perilous situation.

A "logistical support war" full of familial love was about to quietly unfold.

Meanwhile, Myriad Dreams, at the center of the storm, remained completely oblivious.

She continued to dully enjoy her daily life surrounded by friends, occasionally wondering why her mom kept asking lately about her sleep quality and if her lower back felt sore...
