Chapter 22 - You despicable bastard!!!

I went downstairs after getting dressed and ready. I found Rakton sitting in a chair, eating breakfast. The aroma of tea filled the air, and since no one else was around, it was quiet.

I sat down, and there were two breakfast plates, one for me and one for him. He was eating quietly and slowly, reading a book.

Odin started sniffing the breakfast. "Mmm, what a smell! It's eggs and meat. What a combination!" he said, his mouth watering.

But he was right; I'd never eaten eggs and meat together in my life, and this was only the fourth time I'd eaten meat. I started eating,

and Odin was twirling around in the air. "Mmm, what a wonderful taste! It's delicious! Ah, how I love a life of luxury!"

The food was truly delicious and good. I don't have the luxury of eating like this or food of this quality.

I turned to Rakton, who was eating quietly and reading the book in his hand. "Ahem, so, Mr. Rakton, how long will it take us to reach our destination?"

He placed his teacup on his He slammed the table quietly and said, "Hmm, maybe three to four hours."

Then he went back to reading the book. I wanted to prolong the conversation, but it was clear he wanted to read his book in peace, so I kept quiet and ate in silence.

Anyway, I ate until I was full, and it was a little early. After the sun had risen higher, we left.

I went out after him, and there were two large camels, and they were clearly strong.

We put the luggage on the camels' backs and tied it up well. Then Rakton took out a white turban and covered his face with it.

He looked at me and spoke warningly, "We're going, and be careful, the road we're going to take is full of sandstorms. They're not dangerous, but they'll blind you, cause you to fall behind, and make your chest tight. Cover your face with your turban now and concentrate."

His tone was warning and serious, so I replied with the same seriousness, "Okay, never mind, I'll cover my face and concentrate well."

After that, I covered my face, and we mounted the camels and set off on our way. We went west. I was riding a black camel and I was behind Rakton, trying not to go out of his way.

I tightened the saddle on the camel so that it would walk faster until it was as fast as Rakton's camel.

I looked at Rakton and said, "Hmm, how much did you charge for the camels, Mr. Rakton? They are strong and plump."

He turned to me, staring, and said, "Um, both for twenty silver pieces." He spoke as if it was nothing.

I looked at him in shock until my eyes almost popped out of their sockets. "Huh? Twenty silver pieces means one for ten silver pieces." My tone was very loud, in fact, I might have even been shouting.

Odin laughed loudly, "Hahaha, look at your face, hahaha, you poor thing, hahaha." Odin almost cried from laughing so hard.

Rakton ignored me and continued on his way in silence, and I started cursing myself,

"Damn it, how I hate people with lots of money."

Then I remembered something. "So, Mr. Rakton, what about the learning method? You said there was a book, where is it?"

Rakton looked at me and said seriously, "Hmm, well, I told you before that because of the toxicity, which you need to start training on, no one has trained on it and it needs a body of a certain type, so there is no knowledge or experience about it. You have to find the way yourself."

I felt suspicious of his words. There have always been men who are very ambitious and try anything recklessly for power, especially in an organization like the Black Dagger. It is impossible that they have not tried this or at least one person is stupid enough to try it.

I did not show my suspicions on the surface, but I remained silent.

Rakton continued, "As for the book, it's with me. I'll give it to you when we arrive."

Oden looked suspiciously. "Hmm, it's madness. No one has ever used this book before, especially in an assassination organization. They send their men to their deaths and torture their trainees as training. I think dozens have tried and died, so it became forbidden to practice this power so as not to lose manpower. And over time, the book became outcast, discarded, and almost worthless, until you appeared."

Odin had the same doubts and thoughts as me, but I preferred to remain silent, because from the beginning we knew that there was something wrong with the matter, but to become stronger you must face death, that is what Odin said, and this method of opening the energy is very necessary, awakening my latent energy now is a good thing, and also there is no guarantee that my energy will awaken at the age of fifteen, I may be a little late and it may never awaken, I must go and learn the power, the arts of poison even if this means my death.

About an hour later,

a strong sandstorm hit us, so thick that we couldn't open our eyes. The camels started to rage, and we were completely masked.

Rakton put one of his hands over his face and shouted, "Cyrus, tighten the reins on the camel, so it doesn't throw you off or take you off the road. Try to follow me, don't get lost."

I was trying and tightening the reins on the camel, with force, and I could barely control it. Then Odin shouted loudly, "Damn it, the sand is really thick, I can barely see."

The storm lasted for thirty minutes until we finally got out of its path with difficulty and, after much suffering, crossed it safely.

"Ugh, now I understand why I said we should wear masks," I gasped, my eyes hurting and my turban covered in dust.

Then Rakton said, "We've reached this place where you will train. It's over there." He pointed to a specific spot ahead of us,

and to my shock, it was an enormous pit, like the eye of a giant.

I was stunned. How was I supposed to train here? Everything was clear except how.

We got close enough to the pit, then we got off the camels, and I looked at it. It was a bottomless pit, like endless darkness.

I was shocked by the sight. "It's so deep, but how the hell am I supposed to train here?"

Rakton looked at me and said, "This is the bottom of the abyss, and as you can see, its name suits it. Now you will train here, and as I said before, every three months someone will come to make sure you have enough resources."

After a garden, he took out a black book that looked very old, and continued, "This is the Book of Ten Thousand Poisons. You will train on it here and use the essence of the poison of snakes and other poisonous creatures. Remember, you cannot use the energy of poison until you have collected enough poison and absorbed their essence and created your own essence. Then you will have good immunity against poison, and the more diverse the poison, the stronger you will be and the more deadly your fish will be. Good luck."

After he spoke, he gave me the book and did not give me a chance to speak. Then he pushed me with his foot into the abyss. Before I could even comprehend everything,

after he pushed me, I was falling and I saw his face. His eyes were very cold, as if I wasn't the first.

"You bastard!"
