Adrain growled and pounced, he ignored his own sense of smell and trusted Meggie. He made the right call.
His body pierced through the black fog and came face to face with the demon but before he could attack a heavy force landed on his chest.
It was so powerful it shattered his rib cage, his bones pierced through his organs and he coughed up blood.
He shot back like a meteor and hit the wall on the other side of the room. At the speed he was thrown at he had expected to go through the wall.
But it was harder than he had expected and he bounced off it instead.
" You're okay?" Meggie shouted, Adrain stood up and spit the blood in his mouth, his wounds started healing.
" Yeah I'm fine." He rotated his shoulders and his bones cracked them a low growl echoed through the fog.
He was using echo location to try and locate the demon but it was as if it did not exist at all.
He couldn't find it anywhere inside the house so he waited for it to attack him first and it did.
