"Congratulations, Wyatt. You are an awakened grimlock now," Mary said, formally acknowledging the successful creation of my gioncore card and gion circuit card.
As I finished reading the Fate Report, I conjured my gioncore card and went through them closely.
[ —Gioncore—
Grade: Peak
Rank: Awakened
Gion: Maturing Colony
Effect: The Gioncore acts as a stabilized habitat for gion microbiome colonies, while also storing the gion generated by their activity.
i) Crown's Claim: The Grimlock can flawlessly wield all fates mirrored by Fateless.
ii) Ultimate Undead: As long as its gioncore remains intact, Grimlock's physique cannot die and will heal from anything. They no longer possess vital points and expend virtually infinitesimal stamina in all activities.
iii) Martial Unity: The Grimlock's soul, mind, and body are in harmony with each other and their Gioncore and Gion Circuit.
Note:
i) Microbiome colonies too small to even amount to be Micro Colony are called Maturing Colony.
ii) The Grimlock's gioncore is highly compatible with their grim cypher, so its skills have been perfectly augmented to complement it.
iii) The grade of the gioncore dictates the size and health of the gion microbiome colony, and that colony size directly influences the purity of the gion produced, the rate of recovery, and the total reserves available.]
A peak-grade gioncore with three core abilities. That was the known ceiling in terms of gioncores. There was nothing above it within the known grading system. In other words, my gioncore stood at the very top, it was the best among the best.
Although my gioncore was peak grade, the microbiome colony within it was still in its infancy. At present, it was only a maturing colony, too small to even register within the official classification scale: Micro, Macro, Mega, Massive, and Myriad.
Even so, it far surpassed the colonies of most newly Awakened Grimlocks, including those who also possessed peak-grade gioncores. The key difference to focus lay not in its current size, but in its foundation. It was like a startup backed by enormous capital and powerful investors. Small for now, but built with the capacity to expand explosively.
If I didn't mess it up, my gion microbiome colony would continue to grow. In time, I could ascend into a Mythical Grimlock.
Reining in my wandering thoughts, I impatiently conjured my Gion Circuit card and went through it.
[ —Gion Circuit—
Circuit Rank: Awakened
Gion Points: (361/361)
Completion Rate: 100%
Synchronization Rate: 100%
Activation Rate: 0
Effect: The Gion Circuit functions as a regulatory system, channeling gion from the gioncore, managing its circulation within the body, and governing its emission outward.
i) Gion Ink(Parasitic): Grimlock can produce parasitic gion Ink formed from microbiome, blood, and gion from their gion points to create seals and formation arrays. Seals and arrays drawn with this parasitic ink are far more tenacious, and they can siphon energy from their target to strengthen themselves.
ii) Crowned Circuit: Grimlocks possess absolute authority over their gion circuits.
Note:
i) The Gion Points help with the regulation of Gion outside of Grimlock's body.
ii) The extent to which the gion circuit forms throughout a Grimlock's body determines their Completion rate.
iii) The Synchronization rate is determined by the degree of harmony between a Grimlock's gion circuit, gioncore, soul, body, and mind.
iv) The Activation rate is determined by how much of the gion circuit a Grimlock is actively utilizing.]
From the Fate Report, I already knew my Gion Circuits were exceptional. They had awakened both an ability and an attribute. Still, as I went through the stats, I was shocked. Not all Grimlocks can form a gion circuit with one hundred percent completion and synchronization from get go like I did, they develop it before ascending to superior grimmon. I believed I had my gioncore ability, Martial Unit, to thank for that.
"So, what quality is your gioncore and what is the completion and synchronization rate of your gion circuit?" Mary asked.
By law, they were forbidden from checking a grimlock's gioncore and gion circuit cards information without consent. All they could do was monitor the microbe tunneling and core condensation process itself, stepping in only if unforeseen circumstances arose. That was the limit of their authority.
"Peak-grade gioncore with three skills along with a fully complete and synchronized gion circuit," I answered truthfully, unable to hide the joy on my face.
I had to be truthful, as this wasn't something I could conceal in the long run. If I were caught lying about my gioncore and gion circuit cards, it wouldn't be a major offense, but it would invite far more dangerous questions about what else I might be hiding. In a world like this, such public suspicion was a serious threat to my survival.
"Peak-grade?" one of the assistants blurted out in shock. There were only a handful of people in the entire city who possessed a peak-grade gioncore. Among the younger generation, it should be just me and one other rich kid from a real estate mogul. That kid had signed with a provincial-level grim raider guild. It had been a huge fanfare, with the entire city celebrating it as if it were a festival.
However, Skyox was only a small city in Moonox County. The F.O.E had tens of thousands of such small cities. So at the county level alone, there were already millions of Grimlocks with peak-grade Grimlocks appearing even within the younger generation. If you included the older generations and rest of the F.O.E as well, the number of Grimlocks with peak-grade gioncores would easily cross into the tens of millions. So, it wasn't as big of a deal as the medical assistants were making it sound. Still, at a small city level it was indeed news worth making the headlines.
Ignoring the assistant, Mary beamed like a fool before turning back to me and saying, "Didn't I tell you the Crowned Death was the perfect grimmon for you?"
"You did," I replied, nodding vigorously and exaggerating my gratitude. Mary nodded smugly in return, clearly satisfied with herself, believing this would be a valuable addition to her professional portfolio.
